Man seeing the pain in your eyes that last 10 seconds of your video breaks my heart dude! I see the passion and when you work hard and come close like you did I know it hurt. Just stay focused Ethan you got another one coming for sure
Ethan, I'm grateful when you show the bad with the good. it does show that semi-pros and pros don't always win and sometimes it's the odds of drawing what you need. It's entertaining when we see you sun running. this shows that even playing well doesn't always equate to winning. Keep your chin up heading into the next one man. Get back on the RAMPAGE!
In my experience an UTG limp jam is nearly always AA or KK (personally I hate this strategy). I know you were getting decent enough odds to call but that's always a fold for me with AJ. If I'm holding AK then it's an excruciating call but AQ and lower it's a fold for me. Besides, love the vlog man. Keep crushing it 👊🏻
@@cameronandrew1853 good point, but it was not a limp raise, it was a limp jam. Takes some really otherworldly testicles to limp jam garbage or even worse that AJ off for your tournament life...
You are correct 95% of the time. I limped in the BB+2 with A-A hope someone got silly. One guy went 50 then another 100! Licking my chops I all-in’d with about $700 behind, 1st guy folded buy the reraiser goes into the tank for eternity before throwing in his A-K hoping I’d show my cards…..I did not. BUT when the game broke he seemed friendly enough and gave him the good news… he most likely saved himself $700 bucks.
UTG limps are either fish playing AA-KK or fish playing garbage. Don't be a fish. You're losing value or keeping garbage hands in to crack your aces. Some dude was furious just yesterday from getting aces cracked by 57s after limping them in EP. The strategy requires you to balance your UTG limp and UTG limp-shove range, which are losing plays in the long run. Not saying you should never do it, an aggressive table might pay a bit more but your reraise would seem incredibly strong. Might make you lose more value on later streets or prompt premiums to fold. Overall, the play is just bad. You're going to have hands where you have no action of your aces, and that's fine. You don't want to play a single hand at a time, you want to play your ranges all the time.
@@simmerke1111 UTG should be a fold 97% of the time. I love seeing UTG limp plays, for most of the time, because it’s dead money. If you not ready to call at least a 5x-10x raise under the gun, your wasting your money. If I got a monster(A-A, A-K, K-K or Q-Q), I like to limp hoping for a raise. Then I snap the trap with a big reraise. Other than that, it’s a fold.
It’s crazy how many poker pros there are in the comments. Didn’t realize how many people I’ve never even heard of are more disciplined and better than Ethan. 😂 Man, and here I was thinking what Ethan has accomplished was amazing.
It’s weird that you think you need to be known on the internet to be a high level poker player. Some of the biggest cash game winners in the world are people you’ve never heard of..
Quit taking so many risks when you have a big stack. It's fine to be a luck box with a short stack because that's when you're supposed to take risks. When you have an above average stack tighten up and wait for better spots. You have enough experience to know when you're likely beat, now you need to learn to lay those freaking hands down!

That 98 of spades hand where you were on a spade draw on the turn....when the club flush draw completes on the river I think you have a shot at getting Ax to fold with a shove on the river......
Awesome Ethan. Don't feel so bad bro. You've had better days and it'll get way better for sure. I always enjoyed your vlogs and it's extremely entertaining. Keep charging ahead and as always... you're one of my favorite poker vloggers on UA-cam. Thanks for being you.
What happens if someone busts on a different table at the same time you do? Do they run cameras and see which hand was over first? or what happens? Thanks
Not your best day on the felt. Balancing survival and aggression would benefit your game. You call off way too light in spots that put a lot of chips at risk. Also, Limp shoves are almost always AA in tourneys.
Is it worth considering shoving the 89s on the flushy river ? Turning your low showdown eq into a bluff ? Also, your line screams mostly of fd play. Not much you can bluff with except for your exact hand and that's if you decide to turn it into a bluff ..lmk your thoughts on this 1. Cheers
Keep on smiling big dawg. You’ll get that diamond ring soon enough! I’m proposing to my girlfriend this weekend so at least someone’s getting a diamond ring 😅
My first relatively large buy in online tourney in the money, someone limp reraised me and I had QQ. I swear I almost folded but then just decided to go with it. Ofc it was AA. It’s always AA. You’ve been playing poker long enough to know a limp jam is AA.
Good job man, it's not easy to have enough discipline to run that deep in LIVE tournaments. Tournaments are a different beast to cash. From what I've seen you're a great tournament player and good for you!
had an idea, how about numbering the hands, so we can easily comment about it.. like that hank that you floped the nut strait, could be hand 20 - that guy probably had a smaller strait right?
Good vlog man ... I like to needle ya here and there ... should've played a little passive some hands and blasted that 55 hand on that jj board where u thought ubwere good on turn
love this vid man, ur one of the first people who really got me into poker and recently i went to play at The Lodge (which was my first timing playing poker that wasnt a home game) and actually won like $400! Keep up the good work, love the tournament vids
In level 17 when you were hoping for a spade but it was a 7c against the guy on your left, would it have been a bad road to take to have shoved all in to try to rep your flush got there with the clubs instead of the spades? Considering no one was willing sacrifice their tourney life
Ethan my thought on the 9-8 hand is if you call the turn bet I would’ve jammed the river with that particular river. You’re blocking the straight plus I thought he played his hand as a big Ace and unless he has specifically AK or AQ of clubs he’s getting to be in a pretty gross spot for his tournament life. Just a thought. Love your videos though….
Hey man, FLEX YOUR HARDWARE! That stuff isn’t easy to come by and any haters are immediately silenced! I love your content, your ambitious aggressive play is so unique and entertaining! Love it man, keep up the hard work!
That 89ss hand was such a good candidate to bluff the river by shipping it. Turn your pair into a bluff. Many draws get there including the flop flush draw. You don’t have much showdown value.
I bought a mystery pack, but have no idea where to send the selfie that rampage is talking about. Said he's waiting on the rest of the selfies before he announces the golden ticket winners in a future vlog. Does anyone know where to send selfie? like what # or email or whatever it is
If I could have a chance to actually ever meet a professional I would have to pick meeting you, i have truly enjoyed watching your awesome journey, thank you for always sharing your journey
I actually liked you pocket 5’s call and don’t think it was that bad .. he could’ve had missed flush draws on that board… The limp all in was super strong and that AJ off suit should’ve been folded IMO.. Great video Ram 🐏 👍
Question! That match you won A7 against KQ. Did you win because of the Ace or because it was a rivered pair? Asking because you said 2 pair vs rivered pair? Sorry for the dumb question guys just want to make sure
Don't be down you played pretty well. Always remember discipline. If you feel like you probably don't have the best hand, you probably don't have the best hand. You got to know when to foldem.
Ethan, that 89 spades sent you on tilt after. Once he pre flop raise you shouldn't of been in the hand in the 1st place but you tried to be tricky. When being tricky you need to steal the pot on a great bluff. After he bet 65k on the turn he was pushing you off your flush draw. Then BINK club comes. That was your moment to look at his stack. Look at him. Look back at his stack and push all in. That river card saved you. No way he was calling in that river club. Snap flod. That was the turning point of your life line to making the $$. Good try I been there before

Agree. Needs a little more discipline in his game.
We all know you have balls, you've proven that repeatedly, now show us you have the discipline to make it all the way
100% agree. Can’t play every “decent” hand when you have a chip stack. Your either going to punt it away or just bleed out chips slowly.
And when you have a lot of chips, try not to get involved in too many hands so you can allow other short stacs to bust out
All replies here excellent advice
When u have so many chips it's ok to slow down and fold some or wait for great hands
"I really don't think anyone is going to go all in as a bluff on the river here, ever"

that's the worst feeling bubbling out of a tournament get em next time Ethan 🏆
Me: watches video
Also me: notices top comment
Me again: stops watching video
Exciting! Some cool wins, but I think there is a definite opportunity for you to learn to fold more. I felt like you gave away too many chips because curiosity got the better of you.
You did good bro. Although you could have played safe a few more mn even if you went down on the blinds. You were a bit rough at the end
Where did you get that hat at rampage? 🔥
Gotta start on the day right with a rampage video 😎
@22:00 what did the side pot have tho?? Just CURIOUS
Personally felt like you went down hill with that 9-8 suited. Everything is hindsight but personally would assume he has something decent raising so large. After the flop you could assume he has an Ace/Set/High Pairing rebetting into the pot. While middle pair could be good sometimes, you really don't have much out's to improve which made you stuck just calling to bluff catch. Also hindsight you could've read that he was making it expensive to chase the last flush which is why when it hit he checked back assuming it was a trap.
Dammit. We feel your pain, man. You're a great player. Don't let it get you down too much. Keep up the good work!
Hope you're having a great day Ethan. Wishing you even more luck than you already have, keep grinding it out there! (dont play cash game)
I felt your rage mid clip. No one bluffs and it's aggravating since although it means they are losing so much value and you end up profiting most of the time because of it, you still level yourself into thinking they cant be fish enough to only bet for value
Jamming ng with A5 and A2 near the bubble?! Tighten up!
Bubble boy!!!! Keep grinding bro. U good
sux on the bubble - been there - u played well!
Looking like Brady with those rings
Rough one, keep your chin up! Great video.
