6 Bet jam especially for 6x the 5bet usually means AK or AA at least, and Mariano has two kings blocking half the combos of AK, not surprising to tank (only 3 minutes as well, not even that long) when there is a good chance you are beat. @@andrewgillespie9064

@@lexrogerson1957 agreed. 6 bet jamming in that spot only has AQ if someone is playing very exploitative. AK suited sometimes will 6 bet Jam. AK off I think rarely 6 bet jams in that spot but more often being out of position. KK and AA will find the 6 bet jam. QQ never needs to 6 bets jam.
Essentially it’s AA / KK / AK suited and sometimes AK off and you block the two combos of AK suited. More than reasonable to think for 2 minutes. Lot more reasonable than to tank for 4 minutes on the river with King high flush on a shove re-shove spot with the 6th nuts. Nitball just an ass

Nik can SUCK IT. I was in a similar situation, at a way smaller stakes table (2/5) and got pocket Kings. I open-raised 3x. Everyone folded except one caller. Flop comes 10-3-2. Safe as you can get. I lead out for 50. Opponent IMMEDIATELY JAMS. I'm like wtf?? I didn't snap it off. I kept saying it's gotta be pocket Aces or pocket 10's. I went deep into the tank. NO one at table made a noise. I apologized twice, even after showing my Kings, no one said anything. After about 3-4 mins I folded. It was just TOO strong how fast and confidently he shoved, and how he had no look of fear when I showed the Kings while thinking. When I folded THEN everyone started talking - not mad - just saying he's got AQ, QQ, bluffing, etc. Guy was nice and he turned over Aces and everyone said "nice FOLD" to me. This had ballooned to a $500 pot, a lot for me, and so the point of this is, no one should have any right to rush anyone with their own money. Nik is a DIK, PERIOD

I timed Mariannos tanking at 2 minutes and 24 seconds. That's a very reasonable amount of time to call a $50,000+ all in. Everyone giving Marianno a hard time was way out of line. I've seen people fold KK pre flop a few times.

Whenever I’m looking for guidance on poker etiquette or poker strategy I always think to myself, what would Airball think? Honestly though, even if you do feel like tanking for 3 minutes is egregious with KK in a 6-bet spot, just keep it to yourself, you don’t have to be a douche about it and threaten to rack up and leave the game. I don’t know when he became the Governor HCL but Airball is probably the worst high stakes regular player I can ever remember. Eric Perrson might give him a run for his money but I don’t think it’s really all that close. Similar personalities too.

I think given his stack size it’s reasonable for Mariano to tank here. Usually when you cover villain it’s a snap, but when it’s a large percentage of your stack and you know villain is likely weighted toward Ace-high hands you have to consider whether or not it’s worth the risk.

I feel like the people here clearly have a bias towards Airball. However, if you play with someone taking 20-30 seconds minimum on every decision, then when they nit roll with kings, you’re gonna get pretty annoyed too
I mean its a 600 bb jam. If there ever is a spot to think about folding kings its this one. And against a specific player type your fold also would be 99% correct. But against Henry it is a snap actually.

Say Henry jams with all 6 combos of AA...there's 16 combos of AK...even if Henry only semi-bluff shoves with AK 25% + the other combo of KK, there's 5 combos...then its easy to find one more combo like QQ or AQs that Henry might play that way and its a non-decision.

nik is being such a crybaby. a 6 bet preflop shove screams aces. especially against Mariano being a rather "newer" player on the stream, Folding Kings is something to think about and it wasn't for that long. Absolute nit roll by Mariano. With a full 9 handed game, the odds of running KK into AA is 1 in 6000. Nik is right that you're never folding KK in a cash game preflop, you just snap it off and take the L if he has it.. There's only a few disgusting spots in big tournaments where you can even consider it.
When a solid guy 6-bets all in for 400bb, the odds of aa are waaaaaay higher than that
