Wonderful reaction to an intense movie! Kudos to you for picking up on the not even subtle clues. Most of us were so engrossed in the story that it wasn't until the end that we realized the truth. But they framed scenes so it looked like he'd been talking to people, like when Cole got home from school early on and Cole's mom and he were sitting across from each other so it looked like Cole had walked into their conversation. Every actor did brilliantly in this movie, Haley Joel Osment was amazing beyond his years as Cole, Toni Colette was amazing as Cole's mom, and Bruce was amazing in a dramatic role, which was great to see since he was best known for comedic or action roles to that point, just like Robin Williams was considered just a comedian until Dead Poets Society and The Fisher King. M Night's first movie was his magnum opus, and it was brilliant. I liked his cameo as the ER doctor who has to question Cole's mother about Cole's injuries.
You just typed out an essay thinking someone in their 30's didn't know bruce was dead the whole time... it's one of the most famous reveals in movie history, you think a 30 something year old has never heard the reference lol?
@thatpatrickguy this wasn't M. Knight's first film, he had done about 6 before, this was his first "Hollywood" movie and if it didn't work out he was gonna quit film making! Good job he didn't, along with a couple of poor films he's also done really good ones too😊 I do agree though, this is his best... So far.
I love that you watched this! It's a great movie but I cry at the end. There are clues throughout the movie. Red objects. The boy's red sweater when he got locked in the closet, his red blanket, the red door knob, the wife's red dress on their anniversary, the red blanket that the wife had. My friend figured it out when she saw the door knob. I didn't until his ring hit the floor. Haley Joel Osment was such a cute little kid & a great actor. Ton Collette (mom) & Bruce did a great job. This was cool to watch with you.
M. Night Shyamalan movies are fun to watch because he was good at the plot twist. He always has a cameo too. He was the doctor who saw Cole after being locked in the closet.
1. Haley Joel Osment played Forrestt Gump Jr, in "Forrest Gump", "AI" and absolutely kills this. 😎 2. I knew when he met his wife when she was mourning him alone at the anniversary meal. Only one place setting. Good catch on your part. 😁 3.I watched my now ex to see when she got it but she never picked it up until the reveal. 4. Cole and Malcolm actually helped each other. Cole knew he wouldn't see Malcolm again. 5. Cole, "Some magic's real". 6. A fun movie for review of a Bruce Willis is, "The Last Boy Scout". HINT HINT 7. Missing you Bruce 👍
Evie, I adore your Outlander reactions. You have wonderful insights and a keen sense of humor. I would love if you considered reacting to The Expanse when you finish up one of the shows you are doing now. I think you would love it. ❤️
A good friend of mine, in conversation with a friend who saw the movie opening weekend: Friend: So, what’s it about? Other Person: It’s about a little boy who sees dead people, and Bruce Willis is the psychologist who helps him. Friend: Oh. (Pause.) Is Bruce Willis dead? 😳
1. Haley Joel Osment played Forrest Gump Jr, and in "AI" He absolutely KILLS this👌😎 2. I knew when he saw his wife when she was mourning him alone at the anniversary meal. 3.I watched my now ex to see when she got it but she never picked it up until the reveal. 4. HINT HINT Gonna miss ya Bruce PS, I subscribed just so I can watch you CRY😭 with the GOAT, "The Green Mile"😭

But as observant as you were you didn't notice the RED the RED door handle he couldn't open the RED balloon The Red tent the mother at the funeral wearing RED anytime they were dealing with paranormal there was RED
No she didn't lol. Anyone in their 30's has heard the phrase "bruce willis was dead the whole time!" This isn't a teenager who has no clue about this movie. I'm a similar age to her. Everyone growing up in the good old aughts knew this reference whether you saw the movie or not. This chick didn't grow up under a rock lol.
@@iwatchyoutube6539 I've obviously seen the movie several times I've never heard the same Bruce Willis is dead. But obviously everybody knows the iconic I see dead people which is been referenced in movies & pop culture
If you are interested in that shock of white hair that both the boys have on their heads, listen to a song by the band, Crash Test Dummies, the song is called, MmmmMMmm, more or less. Pull up the lyrics though so you can spot the part about the mystery around the white hair. Just a fun diversion.
Why weren't you in floods of tears, like I was at the end. "Wait what, he's dead, but but but Aarrrgghh!!" 😩 🥺 I was an emotional wreak, after watching this movie..
Evie, if you're thinking of doing more movies, (and since Halloween is approaching- I would love to see your reaction to the original "Teen Wolf" movie from 1985 starring Michael J. Fox. Also, since you did the Vampire Diaries, you may be interested in the 1994 film "Interview With The Vampire". (Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst). It stems from a series of novels called The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice.
Nice. Not many figure it out before the end. Pretty much everyone at this point knows the "I see dead ppl" line but the twist is usually unknown. Fun reaction
I hate horror movies and I did not enjoy most of this movie. Granted I was 11 when I first saw it but all that said, I *did* like the twist. Even at 11 I though that was super clever. I mean, a kid who sees ghosts helped by a psychologist...who is himself a ghost. Its perfect. One thing that confused me at first was why his ghost self wasn't wearing the ring. I didn't understand why he wouldn't have. Then I realized, marriage is 'til death do you part'. He didn't have it because they aren't married anymore.
I really enjoyed your reaction - you're very attentive. Which is why, of course, you were clever enough to see the twist before it was revealed. Thanks for the respect you show for the film, not talking over it mindlessly and non-stop as so many do. You won my subscription here. I have a suggestion/ request for you. Two, actually. It wasn't until years after I first watched it that I read Donnie Wahlberg was in this film. I racked my brain trying to figure out where and didn't figure it out until I rewatched it. Such a great film... especially the first time. Another great post Evie. Cheers from Florida.
Omg I know right?? when I finished recording I really wanted to know if he had been wearing the same outfit this whole time and I stumbled into an article talking about like fun facts or whatever and it said that Donnie Wahlberg was so unrecognizable after changing his appearance that the director didn't even recognize him when he arrived on set the first time lol and then I was like Donnie Wahlberg???? WHERE? WHO? ahahahah and then it hit me! even after knowing it's still hard to see it's him hhahaha he did a good job man!
1999 was big on navel-gazing films like this, likely from anxiety over the upcoming turn of the century/millennium, Y2K fears, etc. Others include "The Matrix," "Fight Club," "American Beauty," "Green Mile," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Enemy of the State," "Rushmore," "Election," and "Office Space"---all of which I recommend, as you said you like this era of filmmaking, and these films have similarly reflective vibes. (This existential vibe shifted radically after 9/11 nearly two years later, though we got by thanks to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which provided sufficient escapism).
I really would love to watch you do a reaction to the movie Pumping Iron Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger who was a Bodybuilder and he would love to show off his Big Rippling Muscles 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 and would love to hear you saying Woof!!!!
M. Night Shyamalan, the director, made another great movie after this, Unbreakable, also with Bruce Willis…but after that movie, pretty much all the rest of his movies are pretty terrible…especially The Village & The Lady in the Water are horrible and Signs, The Happening Water and Split are very overrated, IMO.

Great reaction'er... but meeeeeen, it's annoying when people over-analyze movies, trying to make sense of everything while in the middle of it 😜 It pretty much ruins the experience the filmmaker intended while constructing the plottwist. It happened here, but the same on Shawshank, pausing the video to analyze the poster/escape right before the movie was about to explain. I wouldn't be able to watch a movie with someone who does 🤣 I do love your videos though!
Your reaction needs a better ratio. Instead of stuck in a corner, and your face huge, the movie needs to be bigger and also brighter. The actual movie that you were showing was as dark as the parts you had blacked out. Your other reactions were much better.
I have watched soo many reactors watch this movie and you are the ONLY one to figure it out, congrats! Well done 😊
