This has to be the most detailed video of a breakdown, cleaning and reassembly of the P320 and I love it!!!! Thank you!!!! I am new to the P320 but this will help out a lot!
Well congratulations to you. If only everyone had strong hand strength or a 320 that disassembled easily. The fact is that not all do. There are elderly gun enthusiast that probably don’t. Some women and even men don’t. I have one that the takedown lever is a bitch to turn because if the crappy quality GG FAT guide rod that is in it (that is actually getting thrown away as I no longer need the Gray’d Up 320). All my grip modules are cerakoted so the FCUs are in there pretty snug. So thanks for sharing your opinion to your problem that doesn’t exist. You are such a big help to the firearm community.
Hands down best video I've seen. I have a new Sig P320. This gives accurate details on how to break it down and put it back together. Thank you for the video.
I just switched to grease because of this video, I live on the DFW area and is so hot that the oil was running down the pistol and getting in my clothes, granted is a drop ir two but is enough to ruin a nice shirt. Now I just use one drop of oil in the action and the rest is grease, No issues and it stays where I put it
First, the white block(tool) 🤩...did not know it existed and I am a newbi so thank you. Second, the take down of the FCU is well explained and I did not know shit about it so thank's again. I love my P320 and don't get to shoot it a lot because the range's are all far and being in Québec, there is not a lot of them but It will be cleaner because of this fine well explained vidéo.
Enjoy your videos. I also add a drop to the top of both of the shiny spots of the slide catch. Appreciate the close-ups of the small parts too. Very easy to see what you mean.
My P320's and my 1911's,I use only 2 oils... 1. To remove carbon and old oils from my guns after the range,I use only Mobil 1 ATF. ATF has a bad smell, but its the best thing out there. 2. To clean and lubricate I use only Mobil 1 Motor Oil,on the areas where metal slides on metal I use a little Lucas Red N Tacky grease. All gun oils are bad that mostly do little and evaporate. I have done this with all my guns for decades,All my older guns still look great with continous love and care 👍😎🇺🇸
You should look at new age lubricants like cherry balmz. The childish name aside, they make some amazing lubricants that last a long time and stay wet. I lubricate every 1k rounds and I don't see much wear on my friction surfaces
Your video just kept me from having a full blown shit fit.. I was following a different video when things went real south and your video got me back on track and gun looking gorgeous with its new trigger. Thanks man!
GREAT video!! Thanks for showing the complete breakdown for a thorough cleaning. It gave me the confidence to take mine apart and give it a deep cleaning which I really needed to do! I also bought the Sig P320 Accessibility Tool from the Sig Armorer as you showed in your video--it works great and I take it with me to competitions just in case I need it!
I found this after I could’ve used it. I basically did the exact same thing but it would’ve save me some time if I could have seen your video first! Good to know!
Sig Sauer Guy, great detailed video on the thorough cleanup of the P320. I recently purchased a P365 and would like to do a thorough cleanup. I have been searching UA-cam and have found that many creators splash the solvents all over the internals. In fear of damaging or following incorrect disassembly I am sticking with your channel. The P365 has been a hot seller and I know many would appreciate this trusted content. Whenever you get a chance, can you please provide us with a detailed, thorough, safe cleanup of this fantastic firearm with updated cleaning solvents and equipment. Thank you in advance.... Like Button SMASHED!!!!
Thoughts on using "BIRCHWOOD CASEY - GUN SCRUBBER" on the sear? Since it dries immediately I have used it then one drop of Hoppes. Also you dont use oil on barrel but grease? Have you seen any difference from oil then to grease?
I just spray the trigger action. I don't think disassembling is necessary. The striker...once after more than a thousand rounds. Just make sure you don't get carbon or oil inside the firing pin chamber.
Goodmorning sir, I'm writing from Italy. Just bought an M17 and following your video to learn how to "handle" after range activities my new M17. May I ask you where I can buy that white teflon (I believe is teflon/plastic) tool you're using in the video ? Many thanks for your reply.
I think I have found the right channel. Just bought my first SIG. I have always been a "Glock" man but thought I would try something different. Oh it's a Sig 320 x5, which optics will fit the factory cut?? I just sub'ed'. Thanks.
bobby zeek welcome to my channel. I try to do how to and review type videos for the 320 and 365 people hopefully will helpful. Which X5 did you get? The standard X5 or the new Legion?
Rem oil is gone in a week. Worst “lube” next to clp. Anything that cleans is not going to lubricate well. The cleaner part agitates and pushes lubricant off the parts. So then how does it lubricate? It doesn’t.
Hey dude, this is an awesome extensive clean. Better than the guys you mention who just do a quick wipe down. I'm looking through your videos, I don't see one for the p365? Can I request one? Lol. This one has been ultra helpful though. Thanks!
If you watch the video Robert Burke (The Sig Armorer) did he feels no lube at all is necessary. I just use a dab on each fcu post tree that rides inside the slide rails. When cleaning after shooting you can see it spreads evenly the length if the rail. If you choose to lube the rail lightly I don’t see anything wrong with that. The thing about cleaning.... many different ways to skin a cat.
I also am a Glock guy and wanted to try something different. I bought the standard P320 X5 about 5 months ago not knowing they were coming out with the Legion. Its a great looking and felling handgun. I hear the Legion is a better firearm for competition? I am a beginner so I assume the standard should be fine for some time. I also wanted to ask how I can get one of those neat little brass handgun cleaning rods you use in this video? Thanks for the great vids...
Every gun i own, gets cleaned EVERY TIME after fire them! its the only way to be sure you stay on top of all the fouling and barrel build up, as well as rusting! Its only common sense!!!
@@NNegativeCreep I actually will pull some out, and just polish them up, with out shooting them! Its Fun, Calming & Peaceful, and just plain and simply good for any Gun!
Ralph Evans I don’t see why not. I don’t have one but I’ve heard from others for the most part it’s the same. The back plate come off a little differently so don’t force it. There are videos out there. Research first and then have at it.
That’s fine if that’s the method you decide to use. I’ve tried in the past and it worked OK. Didn’t work as good as disassembling the whole thing cleaning it all lubricating it and putting it back together. But if there’s something you want to use then by all means you ain’t gonna hurt anything. Make sure you use compressed air or something to thoroughly clean it afterwards and give it a light coat of oil or grease.

BEST VIDEO of the clean and takedown of the SIG P320!!
I find disassembly to be incredibly easy.. the armorers block feels like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

Great video, I just hope that in future version if the Sig FCU they find a way to stop the pins in the FCU from sliding out.

Getting ready to pick up a P320. Great video! Bookmarked!

You don’t grease the inner rail notches on the slide? Just the parts on the fcu?

That's not how modern guns work but that's good for you that you clean them after every trip. Certainly doesn't hurt to.

Is there any reason why I can't drop mine in an ultrasonic cleaner?
Colabro From SC nope. No reason. Just make sure you dry it out good and lube.
Colabro From SC you can. I’ve experimented with it. Doesn’t do a very good job. Quicker and comes out cleaner just using elbow grease.
Nice video! What backplate is that?

The Sig Armorer. It’s his accessibility tool. I actually did a review on it here as well if you want to check that out.
Just watched your vid, noticed you have the apex trigger bar. How do you like it, I'm thinking of getting one to take up the pre travel.
