- This video shows you how to undercoat your car or truck yourself. You can use a non-drip oil based undercoating to creep into cracks and crevices to repel water. Complete the treatment with a high sticking oil based treatment to repel water. Add road dust to stick to the oil to cause an oil based dust coating to prevent water to metal contact which stops the iron oxide (rust) process dead in its tracks. How you can do it yourself and save your money. 2004 -2022 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, Chevy Trail Blazer, GMC Envoy, Chevrolet Hummer, Isuzu. Can't Let Her Die...DIY will show you the How the What and the Why so you can do your own DIY. Check Out The Product Links Below

I like the idea using the windshield washer hose, to get inside the doors etc....
(1). But I don't think I missed it, but how many cans of oil etc... takes to rust proof the truck ?
(2).And how often do you do this ?
Hehehe that was funny man ...great sens of humor 👍
Perfect video I'm tackling that front end job today. Looks like my next project.

Have you ever replaced the timing chains or paid a shop to replace them , It seems like you have high mileage and I'm wondering if it's necessary ...looks like a ball buster of a job
Hey There William,
Good question. At around 190,000kms, before I was making videos, I had an exhaust valve go bad. I was able to negotiate with Chevrolet that this was a defect and they needed to support their product. Since most of the cost is getting to the bad valve, I had Chevy replace the timing chain and guide while the engine was exposed. All the cost is in the labour to crack open the engine so the cost to me for the chain and guide was very economical. That turned out to be a good decision. Thanks for the question William. Let me know if you decide to get the timing chain replaced or not and how it went? Cheers!
You're a nut! But I love watching you love your Chevy Colorado. Mine is an extended cab, has some rust, so maybe next summer I'll tackle this. Thanks for another video; I've been waiting!
LOL...Yeah, Thanks for watching Chip
