Thank you for posting. I'm dominant plant based 5 days a week. All my plant based food isn't cooked or drained in oils, fat, butter, creams, etc. I no longer drink soft drink, sports drinks or milkshakes on any day. I still have coffee though (no sugar). On weekends I'm not plant based but always start my day with 2-4 pieces of fruit before I entertain anything else. I can see my weekends changing for the better. I used to have to always go out or have a take out. I prepare in advance now. I was a meat 2-3 times a day person. I ate chocolate like no tomorrow. I was a soft drink & milkshake addict. I loved anzac & subway cookies. Pub lunches with all the gravy. That was my miserable life. Now I'm losing weight the slow way 18.2kg in 23 weeks. I haven't counted a single calorie and I make one subtle change every week. My relationship with food isn't comfort it's a fuel source and when I eat out it's only because I'm with family members. I'm fitting into clothes I had hidden away out of what was false hope (now reality). I'm now more active physically and mentally. My "vitamins" have been cut down dramatically. Plant food ironically is a cheaper life. My only regret is I never got onto this lifestyle when it was offered to me in 2008. Maybe I needed to be there mentally first as The Gabriel Method points out so well.
And let me add. My turnaround all started when someone who doesn't exercise was losing weight on Intermittent Fasting (IF) and I thought lets try that getting inspiration from Spud Fit about poor relationship with food. So I decided for 16 hours I would only have water (knowing around half that time I should be sleeping). What I discovered after that was my taste for food and drinks started to take serious adjustments. I was wanting more healthier foods. And the more I researched the more I became disgusted with the corruption from fast food, meat, dairy, processed, soft/sports drinks, keto cult and pharma industries who all feed off the other in the trillion dollar industry. The solution was right in front of me.
