Not true about the lower, you can use any quality AR lower with the JAKL. All you need is a build kit from PSA and the upper, you will get an adapter for the rear and it's very cool how it works.
The lower is 100% milspec, actually. the only changes are the picatinny adapter (which can be bought separately if you want to use your own lower) and the thinned bolt release, which is available with every JAKL build kit and Upper.
curious, what's the benefits of chrome lined barrel over nitride? semi automatic doesn't heat up barrel as fast as an auto like m4 and it's harder to chrome lined correctly than nitride. Nitride also protects the outside of barrel unlike chrome lined which only coats the inside
i got a upper to go with my ar lower... if someone plans on just buying the jakl upper know that you will need to buy 2 extra parts...you need their bolt catch a normal ar bolt catch will not owrk, you also need to buy a 99 piece that goes on back of the lower in order for your buffer system to function and to be able to put a stock on it, so if buying just the upper know you will need them parts, i got a flat trigger on mine and strike industries enhanced parts my lower is a santan pillar lite,it looks unreal even better than a scar
There’s always some bullshit wrong with the new stuff it’s never the way it should be. Neither come in 308! Neither have a dust cover except the mk47. Neither of the 300 blackout versions have the optimal 1-5 twist rate. The damn Jakl overheats too fast and the Cmmg is insultingly overpriced. They are both on some lazy money grabbing hype bullshit.
Wonder how this compares to the BRN-180 as it comes in 13.9” now. I want something to pair with a ADM lower they made to pair with the BRN. JMAC stock is pricey😏.
Question for you; when folded, what's the total length of the JAKL? I have a bag that I can squeeze a 25" build into it. Just wanted to see if I should go with the pinned and welded or just go pistol length. Thanks for the great content brother!!!
I have that rifle in FDE and it's really fun to shoot. I can't shoot it suppressed because I have a SilencerCo 300 but i imagine it would smooth out even more.
Why cant you shoot it suppressed? A Sico 300 is a 30cal can, it can definitely go on a 5.56 rifle. It wont be as quiet as a dedicated 5.56 can but will still make shooting the rifle more enjoyable. I have a Omega 36m and it sounds pretty good on my 10.5 Jakl

For me it was between the jakl and the brn4. Bought the jakl, and hopefully i like it
So what do you think of it?

Whis PSA would do the option for a chrome lined barrel
Hopefully someday! FN barrels would be sweet too

ANY Lower will work the back pic rail is a plug into buffer tube but mill spec lowers will work with the jakl NP dont give bad info

oh and my bolt release mad lever actually works with their bolt release just had to file it a lil bit
I think PSA missed the boat on getting this out, now they are competing with CMMG and the dissent.

@@MichaelSmith-xt8bt dayum, all true 🍻. I got a KAK 8” 300BLK 1-5 twist that’s better than all!
These are out now 3 years so pretty sure the had a boat years first haha
The cmmg banshee is especially nice. They don't have plans to make a rifle in 10mm unfortunately
the dissent 300blk is pretty awesome
Your wrong on you can use any mill spec lower you have to use the jakl bolt catch and rear stock rebound
Does anyone know if you can get that scar butstock with and adapter to a mil spec ar lower
I need to pull the pin on this! Is it really worth it? I have other PSA products and love them.
It’s a great option and just runs! Take a look at the models available in my link above up top. I dig the newer 14.5 options in FDE with the B5 stock.

Military Arms Channel did a comparison of those two a couple of months ago. He goes into depth about the differences

You 10000% dont need there lower ..you buy there upper and get that pic peice

Nice review!
Where is the 7.62x39 Jakl?

Depends on which one you get, but even a 16in barreled one with a 2in flash hider and an 8in receiver you should be able to squeeze it in.

@@PDevoLi I can now...had to get a Keymo adapter to use it with the muzzle it came with.
@@tri3pleagent ahh I see. Should have just went with their ASR version to save money.
@@PDevoLi I didn't even realize they had a pinned and welded one until after I got it. All good tho. See what she does tomorrow.
