This is by far my favorite UA-cam channel, been watching since the start. I can't believe you guys haven't got 1M subs. I hope it happens this year for you guys! Happy 2022! 😊👍🍻
The only reason I can think of it is that the humour is quite dry and Australian in nature. Sometimes it doesn’t translate well, being an Australian though I love it.
My trick for pre-fab is to score the two parts through the tape with a bit of tungsten or something sharp, so when you pull the tape off to weld, the score marks are there. It's worked pretty ok so far!
Awesome build this one. It must be good to be a Ford guy right now with the Barra engine and good drivelines that you can put in almost any Ford that you have. Roger is getting big!
Thou hath created the world’s first Barra-powered trombone. It’s even the right colour 😎 That’s going to sound epic with a tune and all that resonance. Nice 🤟🏼
10:25 that's awesome Ford gave you a square recess in the trunk to work with, so much easier than mounting things in a round spare tyre shaped hole. Great build, looking forward to what's next.
Grass is always greener I suppose. We are jealous of the LS varieties you guys got in the States.... and of the engines available in Japan and the cars and prices of cars available in New Zealand. But yeah the BARRA is a bit of a monster!
When I was young n broke, but had a welder, I would toss some tacks on the end of the pipe to help prevent them from blowing off. It worked pretty good. Would have loved to have a bead roller. Great video guys!
Wow, seeing those pictures of the Haltech 2500 and the wiring harness just make me feel like my wiring jobs are shit compared to how Al works. His harnesses and custom mounting and wiring jobs are A-100! They look outstanding with the looming and heat shrink!
Love XE’s. Picked up my dads one from him the other year for $1000. Scottish blood he never gives anything away. He’d had it for 24 years. I. The stages or procuring parts and then I’ll spend time modding. Things a good runner too. And I’m pretty good original shape
Just about coated my keyboard in nutmustard when i saw an XC ute on the lift behind the longroof!! Love the channel guys, a video a day wouldn't be enough :)
I was expecting more of a lumpy sound. A guy I met who has one in a gu patrol sounded like a rotary on idle. Was apparently tuned for 600hp at the time but was built for 1000hp+ but I can't wait to see a dyno vid and some street pulls !!
Must be an old school thing using water pressure gauges to see if heads/cooling systems are pushing water. Even back when TD03 turbos were the ducks nuts, I had a tuning shop look at me sideways for having a water pressure gauge on my 95' GSR, that thing was pushing 400 at the wheels in the early turbo technology days.
Coolant pressure sensor is an interesting idea. What kind of failures can this spot? Head gasket, coolant leak? Anything else? You guys are killing it.
Coolant pressure sensor : THAT is an interesting approach! never heard of that before. but very true. a blown head gasket, cooler etc would make a change on that. I guess. I an thinking of my expedition truck regarding that, also an application where you would want to know before it gets worse....
Yes this an awsome channel to be on!!!!!!!!!..... So tell ya friends to get on board. Let's see if us viewers can get the lads to 1mil in 2022. 🍻 from Rochester Vic.
1mil f#$k it 1.5 sounds more like it. But while we're at it Nugget Garage, Benny's Custom Works, Built not bought Mighty Car Mods, Castlemaine Rod Shop, Rhone Dhal... think that's how 🤔 it's spelt. Anyways we have the best content.
We had David Vizard the A series classic mini wizard In the 20th century. So Shall Turbo Yoda become the internets UA-cams rep moving forward for the Ford barra’s. No pressure Al
I put the same pressure/temp sensor in the exact same spot for coolant and it seemed to be turbulent or something in that housing and the pressure reads wrong
Listening to the video, looking at the XC ute, wondering what the story is with it. Half way thought, answer given. Looking forward to the new years builds :)
Hey at about 15.35 min you mentioned scott at next level, talking I think about a gear selector indicator/display. If this is the case can you give a contact. Thanks. For Australians, you guys are alright. Cheers from NZ. JC
It is pretty much, only euro models got a lot smaller engines, much like Holden/GM Opel did with several models. Besides that Aussie models often build a bit tougher to cope with their road conditions. Makes you look different at models though doesn't it, much like several Opel models Taunus wagons are some of the few classic cars which are still affordable.
Who’s coming to Summernats?
Fly me in from Florida mates!
mind the hail!
Have you guys got a merch tent?
No, because I didn’t put the booster in my body.
I'd try, but the 14,400 kilometres is a bit of a ride for me on my Honda ST1100
Love a good long roof 😍
I went from a 69 Mini to an 82 XE Falcon.......I regret selling both, but the XE more so 😔 absolutely loved that thing💙
Shaggin' Wagon!
you love yourself a classic falc? there must be a disturbance in the multiverse
Love a good long dooby too eh lads 😩😆
This is by far my favorite UA-cam channel, been watching since the start. I can't believe you guys haven't got 1M subs. I hope it happens this year for you guys! Happy 2022! 😊👍🍻
Same 💯
The only reason I can think of it is that the humour is quite dry and Australian in nature. Sometimes it doesn’t translate well, being an Australian though I love it.
you mean YouCHube?
I had to look at subs and that's pretty unbelievable it's only 233k
It’d be heavily Australian audience and there’s not many of us unfortunately
I bet heaps of us could have watched hours of Al making the loom and wiring. Would love to see more of it.
My trick for pre-fab is to score the two parts through the tape with a bit of tungsten or something sharp, so when you pull the tape off to weld, the score marks are there. It's worked pretty ok so far!
Genuinely love you guys, been here since the skid factory on MCM2 days. Happy new year, looking forward to another year of awesome content
Awesome build this one. It must be good to be a Ford guy right now with the Barra engine and good drivelines that you can put in almost any Ford that you have.
Roger is getting big!
Vice grip pliers with a washer welded on one jaw and exhaust clamp on the other make a really good cheap bead “roller.”
Laying some weld as a bead works too. Doesnt have to be a complete bead either
I would totally watch a full length video on you guys servicing that lawnmower.
Thou hath created the world’s first Barra-powered trombone. It’s even the right colour 😎 That’s going to sound epic with a tune and all that resonance. Nice 🤟🏼
Alan, I love your wiring jobs! They are so neat.
Thanks for the effort in 2021 boys! Looking forward to new projects, fun, and games! 👍👍
I'm pretty sure we all have, Hey? We all sub'd then they never really grew while we all sat there and wondered why
Hey...no ads. Thanks boys...enjoy your time off.
10:25 that's awesome Ford gave you a square recess in the trunk to work with, so much easier than mounting things in a round spare tyre shaped hole. Great build, looking forward to what's next.
Very impressive how easily and smoothly it started up.
Awesome to see you guys designing and manufacturing parts for vehicles. We’ll done
Happy new year boys!
Hey Woody where's the Fairlane?
Have a great Summernats..
Happy New Years guys. Have fun at Summer Nat's & enjoy your time off. We all look forward to seeing new builds in 2022🇦🇺👍
Every time I see you guys put together another awesome Barra build it makes me bitter we never got that engine in the states.
Grass is always greener I suppose.
We are jealous of the LS varieties you guys got in the States.... and of the engines available in Japan and the cars and prices of cars available in New Zealand.

Happy New Year dudes all the best in the new year and many new projects and excellent engine experience to us.
Cheers from Bulgaria.
You guys are the business. Algorithmic success to you and yours in the new plague year.
Looking forward to some of the new builds coming this year!
Still my favourite youtube channel - keep it coming lads! Happy New Year here's to a massive 2022 of big skids!
Thanks for all your content from down-under!! I love it!!
That lump... Tell Hoff to keep it. Have fun at the Nats Fellas. Looking forward to your angle on it.
Good stuff boys, here's to a new year and more awesome Skid Factory vids 👍🏻
Thanks for a great year! Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing what 2022 brings.
Thanks for the entertainment lads, Happy New Year to you too.
Perfect timing, actually.
Happy new year! 🎉🎊💐❤️
good to see Woody in front of the camera ! and HNY fellas
Epic show as always! Love the Barra builds. Will be exciting to see it getting tuned. Good luck on Summernats!
Love XE’s. Picked up my dads one from him the other year for $1000. Scottish blood he never gives anything away. He’d had it for 24 years. I. The stages or procuring parts and then I’ll spend time modding. Things a good runner too. And I’m pretty good original shape
Can't wait for the XC ute. I bought an XC GS 351 4 spd ute late last year. Clevo is tired and needs a freshen up.
Nice man I've got 2 xc 1 a gxl 302 the other is a falcon 500 with a tuff 351.
New beard looking good ! Thanks for these vids, looking forward to any EZ30 content again
+1
Good One (starting the mower)
Just about coated my keyboard in nutmustard when i saw an XC ute on the lift behind the longroof!! Love the channel guys, a video a day wouldn't be enough :)
LOVE this car. reminds me so much of the mk2 Granadas we got here in Europe. i was a huge fan of them too!
Please build the VG30 in the Z and make it a beast. Prove how spastic these engines can be. So underrated
Awesome! Cu at Summernats!!👍🏻👍🏻Happy New Year!! and all the best in 2022 👌🏻
Shame there was not as much wiring footage, Al's wiring is 👌🏻 You guys are awesome enjoy your break 😎😎🥳
I was like "Oh crap that sounds like a lawnmower! That's not good!" LoL
Man I love this show. Don't love how much money it makes me spend on my car though. Straight online after each episode.
Happy new year everyone
I was expecting more of a lumpy sound. A guy I met who has one in a gu patrol sounded like a rotary on idle. Was apparently tuned for 600hp at the time but was built for 1000hp+ but I can't wait to see a dyno vid and some street pulls !!
He mentioned the cam can still be used with variable timing. That's why there isn't a lumpy idle.
That would have just been ghost cammed.
thanks for a great year lads always make my Wednesdays better. keep up the good work!
Thanks!
That intro! Brilliant!
Talk about committed to the channel. Boxing day! Thanks for what you guys do. Amazing content, have a good well deserved rest-break.
You got me in the beginning with that lawn mower! I gonna say geesh man what the hell happened? Hurry up & put some damn oil in it🤣👍🏿
Me: man my phone speaker sure has some lint, moisturiser and sand in it. That Barra sounds like a lawn tractor.
Also me 5 seconds later: LOL
Coolant pressure sensor is an interesting idea. What kind of failures can this spot? Head gasket, coolant leak? Anything else?
You guys are killing it.
Headgasket issues as well as head sealing issues from lifting the head when you are at high boost/high timing.
Great work guys love watching the episodes gives me the motivation to go out and work on my cars patrol coming soon lol
Barra the world!
Happy new year fellas. Cheers to more shed skids!!!
Raceworks makes a good battery tray 👌
Outstanding work! And definitely will wipe the floor with my taxi spec Barra swapped XD wagon! Awesome 👏
Happy New Year Alan & Woody
going to be a good year
Coolant pressure sensor : THAT is an interesting approach! never heard of that before. but very true. a blown head gasket, cooler etc would make a change on that. I guess.
I an thinking of my expedition truck regarding that, also an application where you would want to know before it gets worse....
You can use logging to see if the head is lifting from the block. This can be for many reasons but is always bad.
Can't wait to see more on the XC
Cheers for the awesome videos guys! Absolute legends
One thing else....Woody is right the Pajero (Montero here in the States) is Bad Ass 😎
Glad you did a build series on this. What header tank is used in the XE? Need one for mine
It’s actually a 1968 Toyota crown header tank so not really something you will find easily
Sounds great
Happy new year guys!
Yes this an awsome channel to be on!!!!!!!!!.....
So tell ya friends to get on board.
Let's see if us viewers can get the lads to 1mil in 2022.
🍻 from Rochester Vic.
1mil f#$k it 1.5 sounds more like it.

God damnit, got me good. I was like ohhh that sounds like a lawn mower...
We had David Vizard the A series classic mini wizard In the 20th century.
So Shall Turbo Yoda become the internets UA-cams rep moving forward for the Ford barra’s. No pressure Al
Awesome to still run VCT!
Just been searching the Merch shop, can't find safety boots same as Al wears??🤠
That intro was . . . . EPIC
Happy New Year gentlemen (and gentlepup)
I ❤ skid factory
Awesome stuff boys ! Longer eps would be mucho appreciated ( pain in the arse I know )
Love the look of the XC on the hoist 🤔
I cant wait to see Al play with a carby.
You guys have so much fun. Love the videos
I put the same pressure/temp sensor in the exact same spot for coolant and it seemed to be turbulent or something in that housing and the pressure reads wrong
Thanks for sharing, good consideration as I'm still trying to decide where to put mine.
Congrats on the Rode sponsorship Al 🤣😂😅 ive got to try that on the cap, audio is good and no shirt rustling noises
the insta post, with the ride on was gold bothers 😂😂
Haha nice intro friends, happy new year! 😁
Happy new year uncle al and cousin woody..
Yay!
see ya at canberra hopfully bud
Time for a 🍋 squash
Nice build guys
It is great when it just works... not needing that time to troubleshoot.
Love to see a Ford Focus r/s Barra 4wd
That sounds hot. Love it.!!
this is a real gear head channel
Listening to the video, looking at the XC ute, wondering what the story is with it. Half way thought, answer given. Looking forward to the new years builds :)
Great stuff guys
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Happy new year guys
Happy new year fellas. Would it be possible to get the link to the catch can you used on this build? Love the car.
Hey at about 15.35 min you mentioned scott at next level, talking I think about a gear selector indicator/display. If this is the case can you give a contact. Thanks. For Australians, you guys are alright. Cheers from NZ. JC
Registering interest - Interested in one of these intakes!!
Looks very much like a Ford Granada estate that we had in the UK.
