Golbeys certainly have done their research and hard ground work as usual. They truly have a grip on the ideas, tech, the market and business. Growing in stature and becoming a house hold name to many enthusiasts. Another informative piece of content lads!
I may have made a slight error in judgement when I swapped my SC300 from 2JZ-GE to 1JZ-GTE Twin-Turbo and now I find myself needing a rebuild and I live in Texas. Would you guys recommend Goleby’s parts availability to those of us on the other side of planet? I already trust your recommendation based on quality.
I gotta say i love this format, taking it one step at a time and testing the results. Would love to see the same thing done to a barra. Good to see you guys looking after your sponsors 👍🏻
Situated in the EU and running a business restoring old, mainly british cars, I have ocasionaly bought parts from Australia and have allways been very pleased with the quality and build of of the stuff. So if you have the time to import from A* you can pretty much depend on getting good quality and reasonably priced Parts. Keep up the good work 👍
Nice to see them using those fancy constant tension hose clamps too! Really cool to have dyno tests done with each part getting installed, gives a great picture of the upgrade process.
So in love with the crown. Golbys have looked after me even when I'm in Vic. Highly recommend them also. There quality of parts looked epic. I really want a crown now
Awesome video and not bad gains for the mods really. Jesse will wake that 1jz up with the new turbo, the man can tune anything. I’m a return customer of his and will not be taking my cars elsewhere after the great service I’ve had from Jesse and MADOC. So sick!
Possibly the new two cylinder supra would have that setup on it. Cool episode, especially the part where you get other people to put parts on your car instead of the other way round.
This reminds me of playing Gran Torismo on the PS.. ya buy ya first car on there..(usually a MX5/Miata) then go and buy the addons, slap an exhaust on it, see how much power it increases, then slap an intercooler on, check the gains, ECU, then Air Cleaner... check how much power.. then slap a massive turbo on it and see how much the power goes up! Love it! (ps, i noticed the name correction towards the end Woody!) ;)
Gradual changes. Great work. Great to see what each gives. All these mods are required got the big gains to come later on. Fantastic locally made and engineered parts here. Alot of jzs have terrible fuel systems like this crown, I always thought there was space for a Ford falcon type surge tank but I gave up and put in a drop tank in my is300
I myself just did a 1jz non vvti swap into an s13 and with similar mods made 265 whp! Full 3 in exhaust, 3 in intake and FMIC with 2.5in piping at 11psi, can't wait to pick up a LINK ecu!
The change in WORK. Working on other people's cars. To the attitude of your own projects really let's your guys personalities shine. Turbo Yoda for American president!
I'm surprised the number plate was not relocated to the side to give more access to the intercooler also what brand are the hose clamps used on the intercooler piping
Like 5 degrees....in your shorts and hoodie. Autumn in UK tomorrow and after having a record hot summer, it will either just rain for 6 months or shorts and a hoodie ain't gonna cut it. Digging out the parka😁
I think I’m 100% convinced I’m going to get one. Currently toyota apprentice only had Subarus for performance thinking of selling mine for one of these.
Jzs171 crown also shares a lot of its parts with an is200. I’ve bolted a jzs171 crown 1J straight into mine using all factory mounts and a dump pipe suited for a crown. All fits perfectly 👌 even the suspension is the same
Did you guys do the run up through the hills from Twba to the SC. I used to work in Twba during the working week & lived in Scarborough on weekends. Rather than battle the shit through Brisvagus, I would take to the hills in my XR6T. I can't say I had a boring drive to or from work during those couple of years. If you haven't & the recent floods didn't trash the roads too much, I would highly recommend the drive next time you visit sunny Twba. Thanks for sharing this very interesting part of the development process. 😃👍
I love me some 1JZ Vvti action! Prices sure have changed somewhat since I bought my late model Vvti 1J Soarer many moons ago. I did all these bolt on upgrades like you guys, first the intercooler, second a 2.5 catback, third the dump pipe and with an eManage ultimate it made 203rwkw, with boost tapering off at 15psi.
@@puliukk0 Me too - I went through all the stock mods before refreshing the head, adding a Haltech elite, cams and twin turbos for 550whp. Really great engines!
@@CAC-1111 Yep. Had some free CT12s in my garage. I'm friends with a talented fabricator who did the manifolds and pipework. Had the turbos highflowed, steel wheels with upgraded wastegates. It makes 414rwkw on 25psi, on E77. Looks stealthy and has great response.
So happy I found this video. I need help deciding if having a crown for a daily/limo I'll be able to get mechanic work done easy and finding parts. What are your thoughts?
Putting a louder but not obnoxious exhaust system on my car was the best bang-for-buck mod to make the car more fun. Can't tell if it makes more power, but it sure does sound faster.

take the licence plate off the centre of bar then it breaths air. you have it restricted by the plate covering it
It feels like Australia takes supporting domestic companies and services to another level. It's good to see such support for local where you live.
We need to. It’s almost always cheaper to import stuff, but most Aussies want to support local jobs.
I ❤️ China turbos
Most of the local stuff is quality gear which makes the decision making pretty straight forward
@@krispykruzer yea it's much easier to support local when local isn't crap
Free plug free parts

What is with all you barra clowns
I was hoping they would do it this way to see the gains and I am glad they did. Informative and on point as usual.
I agree, as a Jzs171 owner this helps a lot, and provides a good starting point.

Good to see Madoc tuning getting some well deserved recognition! Jesse can tune anything
Jesse is the MAN

I really want a crown now
This is a great. Part vs part Dyno vs Dyno. Thank you for the time you put in. You guys are the best. Keep it comin
I love old mate in the background @ 12:53 wondering in and then seeing the camera and running away
i love seeing step by step and gains per step, quality
That 2 "cylinder" engine needs turbo this big so apex seals can fall straight through it without being stuck inside
Really interesting to watch and Woody’s editing is next level, getting so good.
Yep I agree. I often tell Woody the exact same thing
Quite different from the usual Skid Factory content. Really well done to show the incremental testing as each modification was added. Very cool.

Congratulations guys on getting hooked up with some manufacturers to do some cool stuff!
I’m keen to see how the Haltec 750 goes with the auto gearbox, also love this format 👌🏼
Amazing episode, I love seeing good mods to cars, with good information and doign it step by step! Will be great seeing it with a big turbo!
11:58 Al pointing out how bad that cut was?
17:43 Super neat solution for piggybacking the Haltech
very cool showing the incremental gains with actual proof of power :) that's also a very tidy workshop with some sick cars there
For sure a 13b turbo setup.
New Supra/bmw!
Love this and LOVE Goleby’s - they were amazing to work with for my RB26 single turbo conversion. The best customer service.
Oooooooofffffta Golbey's fab boys with those minty welds! Well done Queenslander
Awesome insightful episode. Great editing Woody, also loved the mellow background beats, smoooooth.
24:55 for the dope Jake and Friends burn from Woodrigos :D
Love the video!! Thank you all!!
Nearly 30HP without any tuning is mad! Really tasteful and effective mods.
those cars are so cool
More colabs needed with other channels. I wanna see you guys with a million subs soon
Manifold is for an A90 Supra. Awesome video lads!!
Possibly the new two cylinder supra would have that setup on it. Cool episode, especially the part where you get other people to put parts on your car instead of the other way round.
What I like is the fact that the guys are using tools and not rattle guns, which over stretch bolts, old saying, turn the nut, not the bolt

We (AUS) did'nt either. These all grey imports.
Awesome to see quality Aussie made products
Found your channel after watching the mcm vid you were in m8

Nice turbo, blow off valve and pipe work for a Gen 2 B58 that's in the Supra.

amazing power especially considering its still the stock a343e auto. best jzx110/jzs171 video ive seen subbed.
Nice bolt on performance gains.
You need a extra wastegate actuator to tip the numberplate out under boost.
Amazing idea
3:43 is that the dude from the hangover?
He played the Pontiac Bandit in Brooklyn 99.

Loving this, one hand washes the other.
Thanks you for sharing your details video as great watching every time good see
My favourite thing about this channel is the very few overseas made products used in necessary go fast stuff
Finally the JZS171 getting some love

Nah exhaust studs are all wrong.
