- In this episode of Loose Threads Rocky and Erik examine a rare object - a first edition printing of R.R. McIan's Clans of the Scottish Highlands. We meet our newest team member - Allie. And we get a special visit from 'The Kilted Rabble Rousers' - a posse of kilt enthusiasts who met through the Kilts & Culture Facebook group.

Gillian's clan motto's designs were very clever.
Once again you folks have the best station on the web. I love the content and teamwork at the American kilt guild, AKA USA Kilts. And I anxiously wait for your next shows because it’s not only good clean entertainment it’s also very educational and fun. Thanks again, please keep up the great work.
I love how the red haired guy could be Ian’s brother. Dude in the Jean jacket was killing it too.
Welcome to Allie!
Another FINE episode!!!
Excellent episode. I like getting to know the people behind the great products. Welcome Allie, I hope you have a long and enjoyable career at USA Kilts.
Jealous of that sticker for the shipping dept!
I LOVE this content. Well done. Keep it coming!
This is so cool to see the work, the fun, meet new people and to see the book.
Love this content. Great clan crest designs. Betting those would make good pins if enough interest showed up. Keep it coming!!
RABBLE ROUSERS UNITE!!!
Love this perspective!
Thank you!
Kindness is free, there is 0 hug inflation.
Hi from Scotland, i like seeing how your company is run etc, i would like to hear how each person got interested in kilting and found their way to working in the company, i used to a member of the FB group.
So, in the book, nearly every clansman is portrayed with brogues. If I made myself a pair of furry ghillies, would that be historically accurate for only the 1800s, or the 1700s as well, and further back?
Will there be someplace (or is there someplace already) where we can see photos of the pages of the book?
We're shooting a full 16 or 17 minute video dedicated to this book and it's place in tartan history where we show off many of the pages. It should be out in a week or two. :-)
