This was fun. Vitus is so good.
    They’re really great live too.
Next, rank Cathedral albums! Then Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, Blood Ceremony, Uncle Acid

    Hey, you actually did it!
I love Saint Vitus, one of the first doom bands I ever got into. Born Too Late is my personal favourite from them.

I love Saint Vitus, my favorite old school Doom band with Sabbath and Candlemass. You can hear their influence on Autopsy and other Death-Doom groups on the sludgy riffs and painfully slow passages.

Hi. Another great ranking. I'm not into doom metal that much but I like the classics of the genre - Saint Vitus, Cathedral, Candlemass, Pentagram... And lately I really got into Mantar. Whats your thoughts about them? One quick ranking, perhaps....

Although I love Born too late and Mournful Cries (Die healing very good as well) there's just something so cavernous about the first two albums and the early EPs (Third EP with Wino also quite awesome, it's been tagged on Born too late for most reissues) which is quite magical. Literally conceived in 84/85, but sonically way closer to the early Pentagram stuff in 72/73 than let's say Trouble or Witchfinder General. (Oc)Cult Metal!

I've been a listener of Saint-Vitus for 15 years and V is actually my favorite one hahaha, followed closely by Die Healing.

Questy what genres do you prefer for summer? I find doom to be more fitting for the hotter months while winter is black metal season

I mean I generally listen to any genre any time of year but I’d say summer is more a power metal vibe

Yeah as your cd collection grows you're kinda forced to alphabetize so you know where everything is. Its a hassle when you get into the thousands and you have new albums to add so you end up going through every section on your shelves so its better to start putting them alphabetical by genre so you don't waste so much time putting them away.
