Equipped with a 36v 20ah battery there are reports of 48hr use in lowest power settings. Others report easily achieving weekend multi-day fishing trips. The first 3 speeds are for trolling fishing. The 4th and 5th pedal assist speeds are for moving quickly to beat others to the fishing spots. Top speed of the ePDL Old Town kayak is roughly between 5mph and 5.5mph. We could hold 5mph pretty consistently but peaked at 5.5mph. This is a good speed for kayaks. 5mph would resemble pedaling very hard for short burst on some basic kayaks without motors. So achieving this speed and holding it effortlessly is great. The price is said to be $5,999.

Very interesting hopefully pricing comes down as the competition creeps in and technology/hardware gets cheaper. I want one, but that price hurts. I need 4 months rent more than a kayak right now. I bet they don't sell many at that price. Then again they maybe don't have to.
In my state, you have to license and tag anything with a troller. May as well get a John boat for the fraction of the price.

i personallyhave zero desire for a ebike kayak. But then i dont want any pedal drive. I prefer full motorized.
