Batman falling to his knees and screaming no because of him failing to stop the mass destruction of cities around the world has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen
Bat-cuffs *were* a thing in the Adam West show. They've shown up in the comics a few times as a result, but not enough to really warrant being a game mechanic. What's worse is that this isn't the only game where they're used. Batman Vengeance in 2004 uses them in unfortunately the exact same way. Good news is, it's a better game than Dark Tomorrow (and it's based on the DCAU Batman and thus has the entire cast reprise their roles, from Kevin Conroy to Mark Hamill).
Between this let's play feeling like UA-cam content from a decade ago (I mean that in the best possible way, trust me) and the old graphics and music of the Dreamcast, this video feels super nostalgic and cosy to watch ❤
I like the way his cape goes over his shoulders. Honestly if the camera were better it would be fun to play as a Batman who can't glide, and who has to travel over rooftops the hard way.
I remember when my mother got me the original Xbox when I was like six years old, this game came with it. I vividly remember trying on like 10 different occasions to just hop the rooftops, couldn’t figure it out and eventually I gave up. My earliest rage quits. Whoever designed this game was an absolute genius, you guys made me laugh
Just finished all the Arkham games the other day and I can’t believe my friends lied to me when they said the Arkham series were the best batman games when Batman Dark Tomorrow exists
@@AdventureArcadeThe game would be so much better without that. The plot and story I thought was fine. Sounds like it would’ve been a good storyline for the time. I could do without having to handcuff the criminals everytime though. Batman will comatose your ass in an instant and even if you do wake up a few minutes after the PTSD and CTE will be too much to overcome. You’ll be sitting there begging for the police to take you in. Begging to be put on those meds in Arkham Asylum.
first time viewer here. you guys were honestly hilarious, its a crime you two don't have like at the very least 10x the views and subs you do. you both really channeled the energy of "messing around on an old game with a friend" type stuff , instant sub and will definitely watch more of your vids!
Why they decided to adapt an ongoing comic run into a game will always baffle me, especially because non comic readers will not know there’s been 3 batgirls with the one showing here being Cassandra Cain
I truly hated the jankiness of the rooftop level and had to play it every attempted playthrough because I didn’t have a save card for my first GC when I was a kid. I think I only ever made it as far as the platforming level after the scarface fight and that made me realize the entire game would be the same type of levels over and over so I just quit. I really liked the cape physics though for some reason.
You do realise you could've just run past all of the henchmen in the entire game and just dealt with the bosses instead? Believe me it saves a lot of time!😂
Yeah we figured that out way too late. We did this a few times except for the castle courtyard which required you to defeat everyone to unlock the door - that was by far the most hair-pulling part of the game 😂🔫
Apparently at one point in early development this was originally planned as a GameCube exclusive and was actually planned to be open world. In the right hands it actually could have been “Arkham City before Arkham City,” but yeah sadly we didn’t get that here.
Matt McMuscles' "What Happened?" does an amazing job of explaining what an absolite trainwreck this was behind the scenes. Apparently they used a GBA Emulator lmao
@@AdventureArcadeYo, fellow Matt McMuscles enjoyer! It’s possible what I said I first heard in either Matt or Rerez’s video on this game actually. I think I’m gonna go rewatch their videos now!
I can confirm this is true as I remember the preview for it in Aug/September 2001's issue of N64 magazine where they began covering GameCube for Nintendo's then upcoming new console. I don't recall reading it being a sandbox game whilst in production but it wouldn't surprise me if it once was. However what looked promising about it was that it looked like a hybrid of both the comics and Tim Burton's movies.
That black mask fight felt like it was painfully too realistic. Pretty much what would happen if you ran at someone who had a gun.
As a Batman Stan,
10:50 This batgirl is Cassandra Cain (best one).
30:45 Ra’s calls him detective in the animated series.
Ra's generally calls him Detective, but yeah, I was surprised to see Cass!
@@DayOldMeat I was surprised how huge Cassandra's rack was.😍🔥🔥🔥😍
To my knowledge he usually always calls him detective.
He also calls him detective in Arkham City
Not wrong about Cassandra
We have arkham asylum at home
How did I not see the resemblance between this & MGS sooner?
Konami, Kemco, same difference
This looks like a parody game you'd see Sims play on their .gif computers.
Bad ending: the world is destroyed by Ra's.
Good ending: Ra's WiFi breaks down because he only has Windows Vista installed.😂
Batman falling to his knees and screaming no because of him failing to stop the mass destruction of cities around the world has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen
7:14 I love how Batman lying flat, dead in the air but his cape doesn’t clip through the floor.
Unexpected Cassandra Cain
Also, I will not tolerate Ratcatcher slander
We must feel the wrath of the Batman stans, it's inevitable
@@AdventureArcade "you harmed a batman fan, feel their wrath and lose health"

This was a hilarious watch and takes me back to the days when games released in a glitchy, unfinished state like this. Oh wait...
"Back when games were good" 😂
4:45 batman demonstrates the worm

Thank you :) A lot of people have been commenting that and if that's a niche we're more than happy to scratch that itch

the animation looks like the fallout 1 and 2
" IN GAME MUSIC BY: egg"
This new kill the justice league update got weird
Nice lol 😄
At least the UI’s better.
@@crownedshyness9656 and the writing
Somehow Flop Squad made Batman: Dark Tomorrow look like a masterpiece. Gaming is evolving just backwards.
For a second I thought it was Beware the Batman model. And Keith David saying "And I'll do worse than that"

What a relic.
This was amazing you guys deserve way more views
Realistic Batman Simulator
Bruce's parents look like young J Jonah Jameson and Anna Williams from Tekken
1:20 "In game music by: EGG"
Signs of greatness before it even begins
LMAO to be fair the end credits music truly is eggsceptional
Let’s just say at a very young age I got this game as a gift. I forced my self to play this shit and I still have nightmares to this day.
I played this as a kid and literally couldn’t do anything cause of the camera
Honestly, fair. The fixed camera angles were the true injustice.

11:18 Don't MOST people remove the Jokers from the deck before playing?

Why does man keep running up to Black Face and getting shot? Is there a lore reason? Is he stupid?

You should play lego batman
Didn't think of that one! We will be playing Lego Skywalker saga soon but adding this one to the list 100%

more batman
