I love that there's all of these Hulk videos coming out right when my Hulk Hyperfixation started peaking. Especially these Hulk related videos on this channel specifically.
I don't think The Incredible Hulk movie tie in game is more well known at all. Usually bringing up Hulk in a video game conversation leads to people bringing up Ultimate Destruction. It may be gone but it's sure as hell not forgotten.
The portrayal of the Leader and the Abomination were done so well in the first two games. Plus their lines at the end of the game mirror each other so well, it makes it feel like the two games are connected.
As a kid I loved the 2008 Incredible Hulk game, I thought it was so fun and I was pissed I didn't know how to get the Hulkbuster skin (I do now). Although I'm pretty sure that if I replayed it today I would probably think it's terrible lol. But still so nostalgic
Incredible Hulk ultimate destruction was the reason I fell in love with the Hulk and honestly the best Hulk game. The game was fun and destructive!!! Also Hulk 2008 movie game was great too. Edit: I just wished Radical made a sequel and didn’t lose the license for Hulk. Heck someone make a remake of this game please!!
I would love to see a new Hulk game that's like Ultimate Destruction. Oh, and it's time for Hulk to return to his roots. He quit the Avengers after 2 issues, and all the recent movies, cartoons, and video games completely missed the point of that. I would also like to see a boss fight with Fin Fang Foom.
It's highly unlikely we'll ever get this but it would be really dope to get a Planet Hulk game. Starting off like the og GoW games with a maxed out hulk destroying a city leading to the illuminati sending him to sakaar where you'd be reset to base stats would be one hell of an opening too
Radical Entertainment is mostly gone the only games similar to Hulk Ultimate Destruction are the two Prototype games. Mainly because the same people worked on said games.
Oooo, i got the 2003 hulk on PS2, really REALLY loved the cutscenes and transformations. Then i got incredible Hulk, again the cutscenes were dope but free roaming was fun. Never got to play ultimate destruction 😢
What a coincidence! I was just replaying Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction on my PS2! That game is such a blast and it's a shame that nothing has come close to it since. Although the [PROTOTYPE] games are a solid spiritual successor.
Ultimate Destruction is the GOAT of Hulk games! That game had everything I ever wanted from my Hulk game: the power fantasy, fun gameplay, an epic storyline (that included the best iteration of Devil Hulk we've gotten, even against the comics imo), and one of the most badass Abomination end-game bosses in a game ever. 10/10 💚
I actually like superhero games where you can do very small portions of them as their alter ego. I found it funny how so many people got pissed off at playing as Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, shouting that no one would want that. Well... As great as it is to play the power fantasy of a superhero, the best parts of them is their alter ego and the struggles they face when they're not in costume (or as a monster in Hulk's case). I agree, theres a lot more you can do as bruce banner than just stealth. As long as it doesn't cover the WHOLE experience of the game, its kinda nice to play as them in their normal duds trying to blend in
Disagree hard, man. The dumbest part of Ultimate Destruction for me were the forced sections as Banner - who can't do fuck all if he's caught... it's just game over, try again. If you hate stealth sections like I do; that's just torture. The POINT of The Hulk character IS the raw unstoppable power he has. The fantasy in indulging that primal urge to lash out and you know... DESTROY whatever the heck you want to. Because you want to. The abomination boss fight was also a bit of a PITA as far as I recall, but it wasn't worse than forcing me to play as Banner. Banner's a mild mannered, traumatized scrawny assed big brain, who hates himself SO MUCH that he had to create a second personality to deal with his need to escape himself. Which then got split into a real transformation when he got nuked all to hell by his own creation, trying to save a teenaged dumbass that shouldn't have been on site in the first place. Hell, Banner most of the time won't even stand up to Betty for fuck sakes. Not when she was raped by Nightmare and had his child; not when she took all her rage out on him for issues at a time as red she hulk and harpy. Not when she married Glen fucking Talbot. He got shot off planet through no intent of his own... and she blames him for abandoning her. So no. Fuck that. I do NOT EVER want to play a hulk game for any length as Bruce Banner. Give me Joe Fixit and that'd still be an improvement. Hell, give me the evil version of the hulk that probably would team up with the leader just to fuck him over and prove who the real leader should actually be, and that would probably be an awesome twist to an expected formula ala web of shadows.
I been playing hulk games on emulators lately and my 2 favorite hulk games are The Incredible Hulk: The Pantheon Saga (because of nostalgia) and of course hulk ultimate destruction (for obvious reasons)
Thank you for making this bro I swear I love hulk my favorite of all time he need more love because it’s crazy people like blade getting a stand-alone game again instead of the Incredible Hulk !
Ultimate Destruction and Hulk 2003 are the best. Both are really good and hold up. The Incredible Hulk was a downgrade, disappointing, but I played it quite a bit that year. The Sega/SNES one has great feels of nostalgia and I love how it looks and the music. It's fun if you like Hulk I guess. PlayStation one is awful. 😭 He was fun in Avengers though.
Your proposal sounds like an amazing idea I would love to give the choice to change from either Bruce or the Hulk I would always stick with savage hulk cause he's my favorite.
Fun fact: The Incredible Hulk (2008) It had to be produced quickly, to be released together with the movie, hence the bad graphics and somewhat poorly made for the PS2/PC. But in the following year, 2009, the game was improved slowly, and was released for PS3 and Xbox 360, with realistic graphics for the time and with high quality, with additions to the map, SFX improvements, new exclusive Skins (Red Hulk for Xbox) (Green Skar for PS3). They also added multiplayer mode, and the trailer for the 70s Hulk series on DVD was also added.
Fun fact: the first cutscene to the Incredible Hulk Movie Game is actually referenced in 2012’s the Avengers. This is because the the first cutscene was based on an alternate opening for the actual Hulk movie from 2008 that went unused. And since deleted scenes aren’t canon to movies, it’s clear the opening to the game is canon to the movies. Stupid logic I might say.🤪
To answer the question posed in the title of the video, Hatebreed said it best when they said No Sleep, No Rest, Do Anything That It Takes To Be The Best.
I never knew Questprobe text adventure games, were a thing. I think this was in common with rpgs, and I think text adventure games predated visual novels in the future.
Ultimate Destruction proves that a great game can be made around hulk if done right. Game came out in 2005, I was 5 so I wasn’t playing video games just yet. Until I was about 7 8 I had a PS2 my parent got me the game. I played the shit out of it. Never even beat the final abomination fight at that time just would free roam and enjoy that and ever now and then the itch of beating the final abomination fight as a kid would happen. So I would try again days later. Welp then my PS2 gave out after years and I moved onto my PS3 and on ward. Welp I’m 23 now and back in 2022 my girlfriend got me a PS2 for Christmas. One of the first games I got was Hulk Ultimate destruction. I had to replay everything but did it on the hardest difficulty which is a pain. And I finally beat the Abomination fight and beat the game after 14 years of not playing it, it’s still sat in my mind itching me to play and beat it. I still go back and play it every now and then after all that restarting every time to just beat it again. So like I said at the start Hulk can get a great game if done right and the devs put the heart in soul in it.
WORLD WAR HULK: The Game You start off in a limited section of Las Vegas as a tutorial/prequel/intro on how to essentially play & lay out how the game will go/establish the story. After the tutorial/intro it cuts to the spaceship/satellite/illuminati intro as a cutscene then Sakaar can be the first 1/3 or 1/2 of the game where you unlock maybe 50-75% of your moves as a gladiator & King. Have Hulk fight different bosses/monsters & waves of enemies in the Gladiator arena, and then eventually finish it off by leading an uprising to take your thrown as king. Then the second half of the game is you on earth fighting earths mightiest heros as a bunch of boss fights & key missions. Sakaar/Earth (& eventually Las Vegas) could be open world / semi open world within the game & you could include multiple areas to discover within New York like the Xavier Institute & Baxter Building. Xavier Institute & Baxter Building could almost be a battleground/arena type area in the map where everytime you go there you risk fighting boss battles/waves of Supers trying to protect their turf. While exploring the open world of earth you have to fight off the military & police to try and survive. If you choose to flee/ignore police no supers join in, if you fight back & cause too much chaos a Super/Boss comes in to try and slow you down (HulkBuster IronMan, SpiderMan, Sentry, Colossus, The Thing, Juggernaut, ETC) If you defeat the super they flee then return with there group to stop you alongside stronger military forces. (Avengers, F4, XMen, Brotherhood, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc) The more you destroy, the more difficult it gets to survive. Guys like Human Torch, IceMan, (Non-HulkBuster) IronMan, War Machine, or Spiderman could have enhanced movement speeds making it extremely difficult to flee & land hits on. After completing the game you then get a spaceship that allows you to travel back & forth between Earth (NYC & Vegas) & Sakaar where you can continue to explore or fight enemies in Vegas/NYC/Sakaar’s gladiator arena & wastelands of Sakaar & Vegas. Toss in his son Skaar as a bonus character once the games finished with a slightly different moveset & abilities (sword) where you can essentially restart the game all over again. (With new added dialogue saying stuff thats basically like “You look like hulk, but you arent hulk” “whos this guy” etc MAP TYPES/Features: Las Vegas - Both City & Wasteland Smaller City than NYC & Smaller wasteland than Sakaar, but includes both area types (City & Wasteland) NYC - Mostly City Largest Explorable City in the game. No wasteland (other than central park if you count that) Sakaar - Mostly Wasteland Gladiator Arena & Red Kings Thrown/Indoor Empire area + Open wasteland area filled with different beasts/Monsters/Aliens to run into. Las Vegas - Essentially all 3 enemy types: Supers/Military within the city, & Monsters/Aliens/Robots + Military/Police outside the city (AND Supers if you’re THAT destructive.) After completing the game Las Vegas could be a now fully-unlocked rediscover-able area with basically the same concepts as a combination of Sakaar/NYC. slightly smaller city & with some open desert areas & an Area 51/Military base location that’s another Battleground/arena with the strongest military & different military-controlled monsters/aliens/robots. IMO if they do this itd give it some decent replay ability. Especially if you throw in some random civilian encounters where you can play the hero a lil bit once in a while or after completing the game as hulk you could run into random encounters of heros as they fight villains & you choose who to aid (or fight them all off lol)
While I still love Hulk 2003's game it very much is a little rough around the edges, especially when playing it today. The fixed camera angles for both Bruce and Hulk sections can get confusing sometimes more so bruce's sections when trying to sneak around soldiers, and then somehow miraculously getting caught, Bruce while he can fight off people can be easily overwhelmed because of the way the alarm system works to if one soldier knows where you are they all know where you are, and you can't fight them all off without losing. No real complaints for Hulk himself its fun to discover new moves and gamma ults (which there's only two I believe), only thing I can't get behind is the auto lock-on system when engaging an enemy and even after they're dead Hulk will still attack that dead body or (in one of the levels) attack a spawning robot thats not even there yet, inevitably getting you killed in a fight or knocked back or onto the ground, and he even register's throwables and still objects as enemies too which was weird. Still a decent Hulk game but very rough to play.
I felt both Hulk (2003) and Hulk ultimate destruction was the perfect games to play In the 2003 game it’s actually a sequel to the movie and it’s a new adventure And in ultimate destruction it’s an open city environment and the bosses in the game are fun and I loved playing those games on my Xbox 360
10:03 It's not because of the movie recognition but because Hulk Ultimate Destruction stuck only to the platforms of it's era. Like, if they would re-released that game by porting it to modern systems, including PC, then more people would play it and more people would know about it. But since nobody is gonna do that, all you can do is to spread the word about the game and hope that people get interested. But then again, to play that game people would need to look for original Xbox or PS2 to play it. And since those consoles are expensive thanks to nostalgia factor, I doubt that anyone would want to buy one just for this game. Thus why re-releasing the game for modern systems is the way to go. Yes, there is also a emulation but not all emulators are good and not everyone has a good hardware to play emulated games.
I find that incredible Hulk game from 2008 wasn't that bad. its not anywhere close to ultimate destruction. But its a fun hulk game that does well and succeeds in some places that the other game didn't. Aside from the fact that they have a bunch of skins and honestly I even forgot about the multiplayer they had. The one thing I always liked about it was how it had completely 100 percent destructive environments. Which as a fan of the Hulk is a power fantasy. The year before, they had that transformers game that let you do partial destruction to buildings , but it didn't collapse completely. I always like that they had had the guts to do that.
My original pitch for a new Hulk game was an adaptation of Immortal. But now I'm thinking that adapting PKJ's run has potential. Mainly cause there's the Mother of Monsters angle that could be a cool faction of enemies to fight. I'd probably make it like a spiritual sequel to Immortal though. Cut out Cates Spaceship Hulk stuff entirely especially the return to Banner vs Hulk status quo, and have the system of alters actually working together like the end of Immortal was suggesting. Not just narratively but mechanically that could manifest as the ability for Hulk to smoothly switch between identities mid-combat to use different skill sets and abilities
@@TBoneBG Or Sucker Punch whatever i just want a Awesome Hulk Game from Someone who loves and understands The Charachter and gives everyone The Ultimate Hulk Game Expirence.
@@TBoneBGNaughty Dog could make a Hulk game. I mean come on, the more angrier the Hulk gets the stronger he gets. And what’s stronger as anger? Being naughty.
Hulk is 7'5" tall and damned near a ton or more of solid muscle. He CANNOT fucking wall run. Climb the building by making handholds (like wolverine with his claws) sure. Wall running is NOT a thing Hulk can or should do. One foot at each step would just break through the building and ruin structural supports. That's what the Hulk jump is for... : / Stan Lee specifically wanted his heroes to have different methods of traversal. Spidey does the wall crawling/running agility stuff. Hulk leaps. Even if he's not a frog; it ain't easy being green.
Go play UD for a while and then the Sega movie tie in. You'll feel the absence and lack of traversal and even combat options that wall running affords. That being said, I suppose a decent compromise if another Hulk game were to be made is to make it so he can only wall run on any given side of a building *once*. It tears up and destroys the surface. Maybe deals damage to enemies below with the falling rubble that could then be picked up and thrown.
Ultimate Destruction is the best Hulk game by far. If only we had gotten a sequel.
I think Ultimate Destruction is amongst my favorite superhero games ever. Love it.

Cool video, that ultimate destruction game looks sick
Dont care what anyone says. 2003 hulk game was amazing. Creepy atmosphere and great boss fights
Ultimate Destruction is next level and hard work took maximum patience back in the day
The incredible hulk ultimate destruction is by far and still remains true to the hulk fans.
Did ultimate destruction inspire the venom gameplay in ultimate spiderman?
I’d take a re release of UD but the dream game would be an UD style game set during Planet Hulk.
I want a immortal hulk game
Some might say it was incredible 😏
They should make a world war Hulk video game were he fights other superheroes
dont care what anyone says. 2003 hulk game was awesome.
Yes!
I missed the old marvel
Those are The Hulk Games that comes to my Mind i wish and hope that Insomiac makes a Hulk Game.

@@TBoneBG Or Sucker Punch whatever i just want a Awesome Hulk Game from Someone who loves and understands The Charachter and gives everyone The Ultimate Hulk Game Expirence.
@@Berserkerenergy Ghost Rider also deserves some love. So much potential.
@@TBoneBG Hell Yeah man love Ghost Rider your right.
@@TBoneBGNaughty Dog could make a Hulk game. I mean come on, the more angrier the Hulk gets the stronger he gets. And what’s stronger as anger? Being naughty.
Insomniac needs to get up on an Ultimate Destruction Remake asap #Insomniac come on make a Hulk Game!
Professor sonic style game.
UD and incredible Hulk on Snes was best
The Incredible Huk had great graphics and detail on Xbox 360. But it still wasnt as fun as Hulk UD, which I played on OG Xbox.
they literally took the movement of this game and put it in prototype lol hulk moves exactly like alex or heller.
oof the hulk ultimate destruction game i mean
Professor x racing game.
2:36 you missed out on pure misery, this game sucks hard.
Why do you hate fun?
Go play UD for a while and then the Sega movie tie in. You'll feel the absence and lack of traversal and even combat options that wall running affords.
That being said, I suppose a decent compromise if another Hulk game were to be made is to make it so he can only wall run on any given side of a building *once*. It tears up and destroys the surface. Maybe deals damage to enemies below with the falling rubble that could then be picked up and thrown.
Played Hulk on Gamecube and xbox360 and i loved them. DISNEY Marvel has ruined so many characters and Hulk is one of the worst ones
