Gas and Bloating After GERD Procedures! (My Experience)

  • As requested I made a video regarding my experience with gas and bloating. As stated in the video, all of the issues with gas started after having a GERD procedure (Nissen Fundoplication) and they have stayed even after I got that procedure taken down. The Linx made the gas and bloating a little better because I am to burp now and all that gas doesn't have to come out the other end. Hope you guys enjoy the video and I will be bringing more content soon! Much love!!

    Hi Carlos I’ve had both of the same surgeries 6 years ago.5 months after the the surgery I had my appendix removed. Gas is is still an issue. My gastro doctor recommended I B guard and it’s a game changer! I’ve learned to manage my situation with the right foods and knowing my limitations. All in all I’m glad I had the procedures. Good luck to you!

    Shoulder pain is from the dioxide gas used to inflate the diaphragm area for easier space for surgery to be done

    • @CarlosGranados1
      @CarlosGranados1  Рік тому

      Yes, but I’ve research this before and it’s also the pressure from one of the nerves in your diaphragm that radiates that pain to your shoulder.

    for the gas issue and to relief gas pressure, drink fennel tea (pour hot water on a spoon of fennel seeds)....that will give gas relief right away and it will make it easy to pass gas

    I think if u get low carb diet . Meaning less sugars . You'll get less gas. Most foods turn to sugars . Remember cars acronym . C=coconut milk, a=almond milk, r=rice milk ,s= soy milks. Those have less sugars ?

    I have the same exact symptoms as you are describing. Mine started 9 months after the second nissen fundo since the first one failed.
    Other then the X-ray did kaiser do any other tests to diagnose you with inflamed appendix? Also did they put you in any meds. I have kaiser as well and after some blood work and urine test they sent me home because I refused ct scan.
    Thanks for sharing by the way every-time I go through this I play the video to assure myself that I’m not the only one going through this.

      I recently had a CAT scan and they didn't find anything with my appendix. Although I remember one time they saw it was a little inflamed but I believe it was because of the gas. When I eat trigger foods my lower right quadrant starts hunting.

    Hi Carlos , I had the nissen fundoplication surgery in 2009 also my gallbladder and my life change bad, I have a lot of gas every day, with pain in the stomach , I am taking X gas and no works for me. some day I am feeling no want to leave house, because the pain, the feeling is horrible. I will try another alternative like (LINX) but not sure. at this time my life is bad. are you taking any medicine for pain, do you recommended (LINX) . thanks Luis Hinojosa

    • @CarlosGranados1
      @CarlosGranados1  2 роки тому

      From my experience I would have like to give the LINX a try first if I knew about it at the time. Regardless if the outcome would have been the same as it is now, the surgeon said I would have gotten the Nissen afterwards so I am not sure if my situation would have been drastically different.

    Hey Carlos, Hope you're doing ok. I've had severe gerd for too long now and it's become torture. I am seriously considering the linx. I live near Atlanta and was wondering if you could give me a ballpark of how much it costs in this area and if you were able to pay in payments. Also, was your doctor able to explain why it didn't work well for you? Could it be because of all the air trapped pushing on your stomach?

    • @CarlosGranados1
      @CarlosGranados1  3 роки тому +1

      Out of pocket it costs around 8k-12k. This includes the doctors fee and the one 1 hospital stay. That at least was my cost but of course it depends on your surgeon and also the hospital. Too many factor play a role in pricing but that that was a ball park as to how much I had to pay.
      We are trying to figure out why that is. I have a bravo study I am suppose to do soon to get more data and come to a conclusion.

    • @CarlosGranados1
      @CarlosGranados1  2 роки тому
