As you guys keep suggesting that I miss Bangna - Suvarnabhumi Airport LRT. I would like to say that I do only "CONFIRMED" lines (either under construction, requesting EIA etc.), not a PLANNED one.

Today 3 June 2023, the MRT Yellow Line, which is our first monorail, has a soft launch, Darlings. It looks fabulous! Thai people already have nicknames for it. The translations for those nicknames are Miss Fragrant Banana (น้องกล้วยหอม)/Miss Crysanthemum Tea (น้องเก็กฮวย) :-)
This is an awesome video, One of my subscribers suggested it to me as I just started a series exploring the BTS one station at a time. This visualization is fantastic.
Amazing video thanks, Thailand has done an amazing job with their rail in the last 20 years and will transform Bkk into a Super city that will undoubtedly bring in more economic benefit for all and health benefit too as no more breathing in oil fumes all day sitting in traffic if you don't have air con and much less "pavement bashing". The pink line has a stop at Pak Kret, does anyone know if it would be easy walking distance to get to Ko Kret - I am just thinking of any easy way to get to Chit Beer!! Also anyone know why they chose a monorail for pink and yellow lines instead of just a BTS type system? - I found the yellow line a bit bumpy.
Red Line northern extension to TU.Rangsit, City section from Bangsue-Hua Lamphong, Huamak are already EIA approved same as western extension and will start bidding process in Q4. Orange Line west extension to Bang Khun Non on Blue line, not Siriraj. Orange Line west and Purple Line south has EIA approved and are on Bidding process.
errors in the video : - khu khot is in the wrong place, khu khot is located in pathum thani province further north over dmk - hua mak is in the wrong place, the place in the video is actually ban thap chang station. hua mak is interchanged with the yellow line - the pink line has a branch called "mueang thong thani" with 2 stations, currently in construction as of 2023
You still missing a lot. But it still very great thank for making my dream of Metroliner making Bangkok video to come true. It is a very good and clear work, must have take you a day to finish. Waiting to see your next project if you wish to do one. Good luck.
I will definitely do a better one for Bangkok again! XD Thanks anyway. I will look for further data about the system! Ps. Took me a week to finish it lol
@ธงชัย ธรรมเนียมดี Thanks a lot :) I still practice editing everyday as much as I can to improve the quality of my next videos. AE is still way too hard for me so PPT is my main program here ^^". Idea for next city is not that hard, but the data and timeline researching takes you more than days. Please looking forward to my future videos, thank you. :)
i found a map in 2012 about the metro it was neat, but didn't seem to actually represent the metro, i went to bangkok in 2019... and to my surprise there were missing stations from the actual system that were on the map now i know what that map meant... it was the planned metro map.
In the future if want to travel to Suwannaphum Airport Can travel by three lines 1. North routh by the Pink line 2. Central route By the ARL 3. South routh by the light blue line.
The location of Khu Khot station (BTS Light Green Line) is incorrect, it is supposed to be located on the Lum Luk Ka road above the one you did. Appreciate your efforts though :)
They were supposed to be connected at first, but after studied the possibility of construction, it would be impossible to build it through Thong Lor Station. So that's why they moved the southern part two stations away.
Manila soon will have a nice metro system too finally. LRT1, LRT2, MRT3 and PNR lines will be soon joined by the MRT5 (Makati City subway), MRT7 and MRT9 (subway) lines, and extensions of LRT1 and LRT2 are underway. NSCR Project (Limited Airport Express, Commuter Express, Commuter lines) is underconstruction as well connecting Laguna Province - Metro Manila - Bulacan / Pampanga Provinces. LRT4 (heavy monorail), LRT6, PNR8, MRT10, MRT11 and Skytrain (monorail) lines have already been approved as well as the North Long Haul and South Long Haul Projects. BRT EDSA Busway is already doing good and soon BRT QuezonAve-Espana and BRT Skyway will be finalized too. Hopefully the Manila City Tramway and Pasig City Monorail or Ropeway will be approved as well.
Can any Thai people or Bangkok mass citizen share their thoughts about the convenience of the whole system's lines & route designs? Cuz I feel like these lines do a better job in areas commute rather than inner-city commutes.
As I observed, BTS light green and MRT blue line inner city zone will be busy all day long. But for MRT purple line, it's only crowded in the morning and evening. So I agree with you that inner city zone is still lack of metro lines. In the future, there will be MRT purple line southern segment, SRT commuter and MRT orange line western segment which will serve this zone. But I still think that it is not enough. One problem is that Bangkok is a city which grew and expanded too rapid that they didn't make any city planning, causing complicated small roads all over BKK. And this would make it so hard to build any metro lines to serve the whole area without relying on another kind of transport like motorcycle taxi. I don't know whether you understand what I'm trying to discuss or not. Please leave any comments if you want to ask more. Ps. I am Thai, reside in BKK currently.
Few and far in between. Cities that were proposed to have their own metro only have one or two lines planned. The ones that are most likely to actually build it soon would be Chiangmai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Pattaya, there's also Khon Kaen. But. That one's a special case, cause the local government is the one who doing it with their own money unlike every other cities whose rely on the central government, so it's quite unpredictable for that one, but. I feel it's appropriate to mention.
There're plan for light rail tram in Phuket, chiang mai, nakhon ratchasima It was build by central government and there're another tram project in khon kaen, monorail in pattaya and hat yai but those last three is build by local government. the chiang mai is little bit different from other because it mix between tram and metro system half of stations will ran on road and another half will goes to underground to old city and finally go to airport.
Wondering how it'd looked like with all the canal boat lines as well. They've been building a lot of new piers and electric boats lately, but. They're not technically a "metro" so... I wonder what would happened to the BRT when all these new lines come to fruition. The Grey line will gobbled up all of its customers.
The gray line will replace the current BRT entirely, and in the future new lines managed by their respective local municipality will run to connect people in the province with the future metro and commuter extension, especially Pathumthani and Samutprakan where there are already many proposals.
BRT is not well received by bangkok people because many people think it block road and causing traffic congestion and not many people used it unlike Metro and Skytrain some people even it considered as fail and it loss Profit.
As of now at the early 2023 its already 270km already it suppose to be 300 of the problematic organge line were open cause it 100% complete but there is an issue in court so I dont even will it be ready maybe the purple line extention will be opened first.
