One might argue that Kuala Lumpur is still lacking in its metro system. They are not wrong. That's the reason why no MRT is making money and 90%of KL people still prefer to drive to work. KTM should be privatize so that the operation could be run smoothly and people dont have to wait 30 minutes for a train. KTM brings the bulk of passenger from KL suburbs, they are the key to reducing traffics in KL. Also, I would suggest that the government pay more attention towards our bus system. Currently you have to wait like 40 minutes in such hot conditions. Increase the amount of busses available so that waiting time could be shorten to just 5-10 minutes. I read before that in Rio De Janeiro, Colombia they had such an efficient Bus network that everyday they drive 4 million passengers, I doubted Malaysians uses the bus a lot. Malaysian buses these days are also very clean and it is much2 more cheaper to build a massive bus network vs a metro system.
I think it's less a matter of whether they are privatized or not, Jakarta's KRL is operated by a subsidiary of the Indonesian state railway company but it's much more efficient compared to KTM Komuter, running up to 5-minute headway during peak hours, servicing ~1 million daily passengers before the pandemic (compared to KTM's ~85,000 in 2018). Also, KRL may serve as an example for change: prior to service reforms in early 2010s, it used to get bad rep for its decrepit rolling stocks, roof riders, and generally chaotic vibes. Transjakarta, by contrast, utilize existing roads by reducing lanes for private vehicles and designate them for buses. The title of this video is misleading. Only Line 9 (MRT) could be considered as a true Metro line, the rests are either commuter lines (KTM and ERL) or Light Rail (LRT). You could include all three LRT lines because they're more likely to be a Pre-Metro than a true light rail line but including KTM and ERL lines is really a bit of a stretch. For comparison, it's like including London Overground and DLR lines in the London Underground network or Long Island Railroad with New York Subway network.

?
i think a new line from putra heights to kajang is quite possible. bandar saujana putra, cyberjaya, putrajaya, bangi and kajang are few cities that would benefit from it
With enough budget, hopefully they can try stretching from Johan Setia as well
Keep it up. A very good video to learn history of KL train line.
Waww.. Best giler ada bnda ni
Proposed new line :
13 MRT CCL
14 PY City MRL
15 KTM West Coast Line
16 LRT Kapar line @kpl
17 lrt puncak alam line
18 lrt setia alam line
N build more brt and introduce trams
Is there any details about these lines? Can I have a link please? Thank you.

Kuala Lumpur is written in Chinese as 吉隆坡 not 基隆波, which is the official name, just like 新北 must be New Taipei. Please respect for the official translation.
By the way, 基隆(Keelung) is a port city in Taiwan.
I do respect the official transliteration/translation. I do apologize for any inconveniences causing by my mistakes. Typos are never intentional. I'll reprimand myself for such mistakes and will be more cautious in the future.

Why can't they connect Seremban to KLIA huh? and all the further east and west station are not connected too.
i really really hope that penang, jb and kuching are really serious in building their metro system. the traffic there aiyooo
I had been to both cities and agree with you. Anyway, I saw Kuching already started testing new automatic bus or something, right?
@@geotransit4515 kinda like brt but with hydrogen powered bus i think. It is still new so not much progress i guess
Heard that penang might get two LRTS,Bayan Lepas line and one that connects the island and Seberang Perai.Honestly looking forward😍
@@zaimy5779 the thing is, we have already heard of penang lrt since like 10-15 years ago. Dari dulu sembang je lrt ni 🤣

can i have this map in PDF?
Good job brother.
In your latest video, you put how many kilometers of the railways. Can I Know how long this railways system?
So Kuala Lumpur transit is mostly based on heavy rail ?
No. Only 2 (commuter) lines are using heavy rails. Other lines are meant for passengers.
Looks good on paper only. The two KTM commuter lines are extremely unreliable.
Lol
Sadly that's the truth.
It's not unreliable. It's upgrading for better.
@@amirism91 I wonder if it's possible for us to transform both KTM lines into MRT? But I believe these KTM lines also shared with cargo trains...i dont know....If only we can make it, so that people from Klang-Shah Alam dont have to travel far away to get the lrt for transfers.
No... We can't change them into mrt, they shared the route with ktm cargo which sometimes run on midnight and sometimes on noon
LRT3 Line route is wrong
Bagus laa sape yg buat ni ...
Req Jabodetabek
May I ask where I can find the sources for this video? I really need it for my school research :< Can I also send you an email?
U can see from wikipedia itself but need much time to make research for each train line.

What is total km. long?
How about BRT Sunway?
I live in kepong sentral
We all can agree ktm skypark has the shittiest alignment🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ patutla takde orang naik langsong. KJ line would have been the best route if they branch out from ara damansara
Kan ada interchange dari KJ line tu
雖然影片做得很不錯
但基隆波到底是哪來的奇怪翻譯......
是吉隆坡好嗎
YAY MRT PHASE 2 OPEN LRT 3 LEFT
New update 2026 december ECRL line

Can you do Singapore
ECRL pantai timor line
ECRL is non-metropolitan train like ETS , Sabah train & Gemas-Tumpat.
Manila metro please 🙂
I am confused by the data I got. What are the plan beside from MRT7? Like the currently-working-on one.
@@geotransit4515 the current rail project construction is manila subway, mrt 7, PNR NSCR and the current active line is LRT 1 and 2, and MRT 3
@@geotransit4515 I forget the makati subway and the extension of LRT Line 1
@@siosongenardmichael1817 and what about line 9?
@@geotransit4515 that was the metro manila subway

U forgot BRT
He has not forgotten. This video is about rail system, BRT it bus system.
where the ecrl hshshs
please include ecrl
yellow is not a good colour...
So what should I use instead? If I use public transit it's weird since I didn't include bus. If I use rail transit it is also weird cause I didn't include intercity rail network. 🤔
awesome video! just wondering whats the name of the music? it’s so chill and gives relax vibes :)
