    Good grief, I've only had my Mother 32 for 24hrs, and my HYPNO is on its way. What a video to stumble across..!

    at 6:10 - is the m32 VCA output a CV envelope follower in this case? or audio out?

    • @SleepyCircuits
      @SleepyCircuits  3 роки тому +1

      In this case the audio is just passing through the Mother-32's signal path to the VCA output, with the filter engaged part of the way. The example after this, when using audio to trigger the envelope, is a bit more similar to an envelope follower. Our friends at Noise Engineering have a great article on envelope followers! www.noiseengineering.us/blog/envelope-following

    Hey do you guys know of a module that can process external audio as a VCA for the Hypno?

      Im not sure if youre looking for a simple VCA for attenuation here or an envelope follower? I like instrument interface for the latter but there may be a few more suggestions from users on our forum: forum.sleepycircuits.com

    Hi. great vidz. I own a hypno with top and side micro usb and have a question about powering... I have seen videos saying to use the side usb to power, and then I see this video and see you are powering it from the top usb. I powered mine with top yesterday.. Does it matter which is used? Why 2 usbs? Thanks!

      either usb will work to power hypno! you can use the other usb to plug in a flash drive to manipulate your own video or use the video packs on our website.

    would really love to know if I could connect this to my Roland MC 707 or TRS8

      We don't have either of these devices ourselves, but if they are capable of sending MIDI sequences, then it's just a matter of connecting it to Hypno. Our USB accessory thread goes over USB MIDI lightly: forum.sleepycircuits.com/t/list-of-usb-accessories-that-work-with-hypno/

      All of our sample packs can be downloaded on our website. Some are paid, but most are free, though donations to the artists are always welcome!

    How easy is it to output these visuals to a CRT?

    • @SleepyCircuits

      On the original Hypno there is an RCA/composite output, and on the Hypno DIY you will need a Pi 3.5mm TRRS to RCA dongle which tend to be a little noisier
