Happy Holidays guys! Don't forget to like this video and comment below to enter the giveaway - full instructions in the description :) ALSO, I know Singapore Airlines has a couple of new A350s with the same seats as the 787, but the majority still have the ones in this video.
Nonstop Dan what type of flavour of pie?
Hey Dan! You are a fabulous reviewer and in my opinion you are the best one
lol, I almost wish I had a cat lol. top video!
Hi Daniel your a good reviewer and I don’t have a cat
If it’s not bowing I’m not watching the rest of it !!
My favourite aircraft is the A380! Flown it on Singapore Airlines twice - once in business and once in economy. And I was lucky to be on the upper floor both times! It’s just amazing how quiet the upper floor is - you are able to sleep better and less fatigue for the journey. A pity the A380 model isn’t a popular aircraft type but I just love its magnificence... seeing something that big fly across the sky is always a time-stopping experience.
My favourite aircraft,
A350
A380
B747-400
Andrew Leong so true! The queen of the skies, the a380 and the a350 are incredible and the best planes!
Same!
Airbus A380 - I flew on this plane for the first time this year, fantastically spacious and quiet.
Your decibel meter did show that the A350 wasn't as noisy as the 787 during cruise tho. So it was actually corroborating your personal impression that the A350 was overall quieter.
During cruise the A350 measured around 79 on your app, while the 787 measured around 83. That's quite a big difference, as decibel is logaritmic. This means that with around a 4db difference, the Boeing is around 30% louder than the Airbus. That would lead to an audible difference, which is what you experienced yourself.
I love Airbus A330, because the 2-4-2 seat configuration more comfortable and convenient for the passengers.
Air Asia 3-3-3 is a joke
Feng Zhang Yeah and 3-3-3 is too much so...
Why not the 767 because the 2-3-2 seat configuration is more confortable and convenient for passangers ???
767 is better. 2-3-2.
MylesHSG 2-3-2 nice too, but 2-4-2 can take more passengers.
If its not Boeing, im still probably gonna go. Unless its a Tupolev
If it's Boeing and a flight longer than 6hrs, chances are I'm gonna have to go.
@TheSushiraw 8,231 people have died in Aeroflot crashes alone and guess what kind of planes they are famous for flying...
*unless it's a DC-10
Alex Breuer: I may be wrong but I think TU-204 has only had one fatal incident, when it overran a runway and 5 crew members were killed.
@@bhojjadamotabanda So the Soviet Union said.
I really like the A340-500/600 (princess of the skies). The model itself always looked dashing😍
Great comparison! I flew the A350 on SQ31, SFO to SIN and was amazed by how quiet it was... a very comfortable ride in Economy. Our total flying time was 17 hrs and 41 mins and by the 15th hour, it was time to get off!
Taking the GOLD medal (#2 favorite) in my favorite aircraft is the 747 family, the -400 in particular. This need not be explained, but of course I will any way. There is no other aircraft that is widely regarded as "The Queen of the Skies". No other aircraft in history has littler changed the world and opened long distance travel to the masses, instead of just the rich. This aircraft shape with that iconic hump is the most recognizable frame on the planet. There's soemthing special about seeing their 4 engines and 18 wheels. The versatility is unmatched: passengers, freight, VIP/government, tanker, SPACE SHUTTLE CARRIER.....The plane is just amazing. Sure it's past it's prime, but look at everything it has accomplished.
I love everything Boeing but Airbus really nailed it with the 350 ❤️
The 380 outclassed the 747 in every way. Excellent aircraft from a passenger point of view, but too early to be a success. In 30 years, with possible hybrid engines, it would be genius. Right aircraft, wrong time. I love neither manufacturer, each have great aircraft. It just seems that Boeing in the last decade or so seem to be run by accountants, where as Airbus seem to be run by engineers. Things can change, and I hope the recent disasters at Boeing have made them realise.
some more favorite aircraft:
777
A320
Q-400
Mar Blox I despise the a320, just because the only time I get to experience flying for once in a very long time, it’s a smaller aircraft with no ife :(, the aircraft itself is fine lmao
Another great comparison video Dan! Thanks bud! 👍💯
Awesome video once again! My favorite aircraft/airliner ever built was the classic Boeing 727-200. I know they're almost extinct at this point, but that was the plane that got me to fall in love with aviation.
My favorite aircraft type is the 747 and the Concorde. The most beautiful are the a340 and md11/dc10
Any airbus fans here
Thank you for your review. Both of the aircraft are my favorite. And I ever fly with A350-900 and B787-10. Love them so much
My favourite is the

Justin Kennedy doesn’t rhyme buddy 😢
Yeah does not rhyme
Justin Kennedy what about « if it’s not an airbus I won’t take the bus » ?
That just doesn’t work
If it ain’t airbus I’ll take a bus
Merry xmas & happy holiday! Thanks for the great videos
Just landed from a 13 hour flight on Singapore Airlines’ A350-900, was a great flight. Good ambience and food.
@Nonstop Dan I flew the 787 but not the a350. Typically when in economy on long hauls, I go back to the rear galley to get some extra water and stretch my legs. It's often there that I make friends with some of the FAs. On my last trip, I talked to one of them about the windows and asked why they were locked, she showed me this super impressive touch screen panel where they controlled all the windows. She asked me where I was sitting and unlocked my window so I could let a little bit of the out, in. I also like that 787s are pressurized to a lower altitude making long hauls better. All that said, my favorite domestic planes are 757's (ask any pilot or ATC about 757s) and my favorite long haulers are 777s. Not so much for comfort but for build quality, reliability and legacy.
So while she did unlock your window, did she explain why the airline felt the need to dictate the window settings en-block? What about all the people who want to look outside who don't have the benefit of a friendly chat with the right flight attendant?
@@artgreen6915 If she did explain it, I forgot. The only few points of conjecture I can think of are that most trans-pacific flights I've been on, for whatever reason people keep the shades closed, it might be a SE Asian thing? Aside from that, the benefit of controlling the opacity from a master is the lighting in the plane is already programmed to change the circadian rhythm of the passengers. Certainly they are all undimmed on take off and landing. Perhaps they assume that if anyone wanted to look out their window, they'd ring the flight attendant? I don't think the intent is malicious. Honestly when doing a long-haul trans pacific flight, I prefer to fly at night because the solar radiation and heat one experiences on daytime flights is actually quite high. I'd rather sleep through the flight. Winds are often more calm at night as well.
Airbus A350 looks the best! 😍
Du høres norsk ut😜
Happy Christmas Dan. Have a good holiday. Can't wait for the ideos to come!
I agree on the 747-8 because of the quietness of the 1st class cabin! I hope one day to get the 1A. Love the review... probably the coolest one you have done!
PS.. Do your craziest Layover or Delay story... where, when, how long it was and why!
Of course the Cessna 172 is the place where the magic happens
😂😂😂
Its good effort Dan i love boieng dream liner a lot
Me too
Love the intro keep up the good work
I love how you actually measured the sound. I respect your passion for aviation.
Hey Dan I love your videos and i love Singapore Airlines (though im from india). I have flown on the 787-10 from New Delhi to Singapore on SQ 401 and the A350 on SQ 32 n 31 And i found them to be in general an awesome product! But yes the legroom on the787 is awesome and im tall 6ft 2 so need it!
I love the 787 windows! The fact you can dim the window a little bit to stop the dazzling sun coming through, but still see out is amazing! I do love the look of the a350 though and can’t wait to fly it eventually!
Unless the airline decides it's going to dim ALL the windows a lot for most of the flight and leave you with no day in the matter.
until the crew dims the windows for no reason
My favorit plane is
A350
B787-900
A321-233
And
A340-400

My 3 favourite aircraft (Updated)
1. A330neo
2. B787
3.A350
My favourite aircrath is the boeing 737 max
Love the Airbus A380 without a doubt!! It never fails to amaze me how a 2 storey air plane that must weight tens of thousands of tons is able to take off into the air!! I also love how it has been precisely engineered for it to be able to take off and land safely!! It's shear size is also another thing that just puts me in awe whenever I see one!!
Great video as usual Dan, love your content. Easily prefer the A350-900 above all others
Noah Murdoch what about a350-1000
@@PranavShawarma Pranav, with a larger cabin you tend to get less personalised service due to a higher passenger : crew ratio
Both seats look really good. Love the cup holder on the back of the seats.
Dan, just commented on Garuda flight. Interested in what you think of Finn air premium vs economy. Great videos and sincere thanks.
Merry Christmas! My favorite airplanes include: Airbus 340, Airbus 321 and of course Boing 777 🤩🤩🤩
Love your videos by the way!!!
I just like both cant get over their unique asthetics
THANKS BRO U R SIMPLY THE BEST STAY BLESSED
If it's Boeing I'm going for sure . Very nice video and explaining , thank you !!
Can you plz do a comparison of qantas
I just love Airbus with their A350-900ULR.
Just rode on the SQ a350 and IT WAS AWESOME
How loud was the reverse thrust on the 787's Trent 1000 engines? In 2015, I flew a Hainan 787 with GENX engines, and those engines barely made any noise on the reverse thrust. 3 years later, I flew a Lufthansa A350 and the thrust reverser noise on the Trent XWB noise was comparable to that of the PW4000s found on a 767.
I think Seat Guru had already change the seat width from 19inchs to 17.5 inches
Flown both and totally agree with you: I do prefer the Singapore 787
hi from japan dan! i flew on the 787-10 and it was amazing, i might fly on the a350 soon tho! great video
Dammit addicted to your videos dan! 😂😂👌
Emirates a380 first class is supercool love their product and shower and bar which is personally fav and like every product on emirates and private cabin which give awesome privacy
Emirates first class a380 probably is nice but I’d have to donate my soul to fly
Good day Dan,
As a Singaporean, let me share with you a little bit on SIA. The reason behind their meticulous product and enhancement that you've experienced is due to opinion that matters. SIA listens to suggestions and critiques from the locals itself and they are constantly improving and surpassing the benchmark way ahead than their competitors. For instance, prior to their A380 "refurbished/revamped" product, they had a few mock-ups around the city and letting us experience the product itself. If you were to watch any interviews from the MAN himself, his vision is to make the aircraft slightly different from the factory product itself. Thus, this may explain the differences between the seat pitch you've mentioned between SIA and UNITED 787. In general, this is the best opportunity for a company to succeed.
I personally prefer the 787-10 as well, but for a long range, the A350 or A380 suits better. With an extraordinary airport to compliment the best airline, what else can SIA offer? Only time will tell...
Hey Dan, can you do this comparison for business class? Love to hear it!
I only flew the A350 once with Qatar Airways, a few days after flying their Dreamliner for the first time. I have to say I preferred the cabin of the 787, it just seemed more spacious and bright, while the A350 felt like being on a lower deck A380. Also, (even if that doesn't really matter for us passengers) the galley on the Dreamliner is just massive, and I really enjoyed hanging out there. On the A350 it was smaller and also had a divider making the available space smaller... Great video as always ;)
zuerichspotter damn Qatar’s B787’a are awful. Over rated aircraft if you ask me, I preferred their A330’s, far more comfortable. Even BA’s B777’s and B7474’s would be my pick over it
My favorite aircraft is the 747-8i
I'm a huge fan of Qantas' 747-400 Longreach models myself
I ALSO LOVE THE 787- 10
Hey Dan! My favorite time of aircraft to travel with is the A380, just because its such a big aircraft and because of some great experiences with Emirates in business and economy class. Always fun to see and to fly it! Wish you some great holidays!
I flew the singapore air a350 from HKG-SIN last summer and it was an amazing experience!
If it's not Boeing, I'm not going. When you come I'll take a selfie with you. Also I live in Dubai.
I flew the 787 with BA and was an overall good experience, but my trust in Boeing is going down since the 737 Max 8 incidents, I recently booked a flight to china from Europe and I was sure to book it on an Airbus Aircraft (A380)
Well yes, but the 737 is a design kept alive too long and adapted too far, whereas the 787 is clean sheet. So any problems they've had come from the opposite ends of the spectrum you might say.
Hi guys is row 53 good for an A350 because I’m sitting there and I really would like to know if I can see the wing. Thanks for the help!
Good job I like your videos.
If it ain’t Airbus, I ain’t fairbus???
no
I really love the 767...don't know why but I do!
Maybe beacause 2-3-2 seat configuration is better for passengers
My very first flight was on the now defunct Canadian Airline on a Fokker 100 so that’s gotta be a favourite of mine.
I've flown on the A350 from Madrid to São Paulo with LATAM, and it was a HUGE improvenent from the A330's and A340's...
The new Boeing plane sounds really good (B797 maybe?).
My favorite aircraft types
Airbus A380
Boeing 787
Boeing 737
Airbus A340 ( In which there are very few)
i love the a350! there's just something about the winglet and the bandit mask that makes the aircraft look more appealing imo :P
Got to tour a 787 at EAA AirVenture last week. It was by far the most spacious aircraft I have ever set foot on! The windows were HUGE! I would definitely fly on it. Also, I think the 16.3" mentioned on SeatGuru refers to the smallest seat onboard- ie. a single seat that is in the aircraft that they had to mention simply for accuracy's sake. Most of the seats are likely the normal width.
If it’s not Boeing, I’m not going (the ironic thing is that I’m waiting in the airport to go on the SQ A350 - which is one of my favourites). Oh, one more thing: I don’t have a cat :))
P.S. Please check out my channel :))
I personally prefer the a350 for ONE reason. Economy class densification.
The 787 is designed to have a 2-4-2 economy
The a350 is designed to have a 3-3-3 economy
However, OF ANY aircraft, I love the Boeing 767 because of the 2-3-2 economy class
The B787 was designed for 3+3+3. Since the Boeing initially promoted the B&*7 as the Dreamliner with 2+4+2 seating configuration to allow for wider seats for passenger comfort, airlines had opted for the standard 3+3+3 configuration for their B787 fleets.
a350 with 3,3,3 configuration in y/c! Just perfect
Do we know if the cabin altitude is as low in the A350 as the 787s? That is a huge selling point and Ive found has had a positive (or less negative) effect on me. Im eager to fly an A350 but I have not.
A350 got touchscreen handset in economy, better air humidity, seats should be wider coz it doesn't make sense that b78k's seat width would be wider than the a359. Their business class have ultimate large seat but you have to bend your legs while sleeping.
B78K got large dimming windows which quite like it, higher celling, personally more like the Boeing sky interior, they got staggered business class which u can sleep straightly without bending your legs and seats are quite wide.
*Both IFE and seat features are amazing and multifunction
*Crew are amazing and provides hot towel service
Conclusion: I would prefer a359 seat, b78K legroom, B78K Interior, B78K windows, a359 Quietness (although a380 is the most quiet plane in my experience), b78k business class.
The winner is b78K 😍
Not all a350s have handsets
@@gmbarnard170 nope, all SQ a350 economy and business does have a touchscreen handset (remote control)
WH aviation sq does but i went on oz and they didn’t have handsets
WH aviation the 787 also has better humidity than any aircraft in the business since their body is made of complete carbon fiber.
My favorite one is the 767-400. Flew it from Houston to Honolulu on United Economy Plus and was awesome. I prefer the prize #2.
You should do a review of the a350 ulr and do the solo PE seats in the back.
The 787 is clearly better in SIA colours
A350, as it's quite n better for long haul flights!
I did a trip that was on both, Singapore A350 to SFO and a B787-10 from BKK to SIN. The A350 layout was very close to their B777-300er and their B787-10 was on it's own. However love both the same.
I love the Airbus A340-600, I think it looks like a beast.
How does he know I have a cat oh no we're are you dan
Yeah hes after black fluffy cats in perticular.
I’m a huge Airbus fan but I just want you in my hose so here we go: If it's not boeing i'm not going.
I have flown the 787-8 from Austin to London and loved it. It was spacious and I felt refreshed after a long flight. Economy Food on BA was average but everything else was great. I am a Boeing fan but the A350 looks nice. Nice review by the way
Yeah I have flown the A380 and I have to say I was impressed with the sound and seats, however I am yet to fly the 787! Good vid
I dare you to come to my house 😂😂😂
BUT I LOVE THE 777-300 ER
A380. Especially, as you pointed out, the top deck. So quiet and love the extra storage next to the window seats! I used to fly on it on a monthly basis when BA had it on their LHR-IAD route.
I love the A380, went once on qantas and it was very comfortable ☺️
My favourite aircraft
Boeing 787
Airbus A380
Boeing 747
I love the a380 the most
If it's not a Bombardier CRJ 900, I'm not going.
Yes, my favourite plane is a CRJ 900. Glad you flew with that plane Daniel!
Dash 8 q100/q200/q300/q400's are also nice aircrafts.
great video.. I just wanted to know about the aisle spacing.. is it then wider in the a350 as compared to the 787? it seems the a350 also has lesser seat so I have no idea why they would go for lesser width. Also the 787 with KLM is super cramped with a 17.5 width. I love the a380, 777, 747!
I personally like Asian airlines a and prefer them
787 & A350 both actually.
My favourite aircraft type for airbus is the a380 in the emirates 2020 Expo livery and also the A330
I love the 787 because of its new wing technology, and the pilot windows just look so badass with the oil tint
Boeing 757 - it’s practically a rocket...
Dam Strait
Singapore execs have stated that the 787-10 has exceeded expectations and the a350 has slightly under performed to date in overall performance. Emirates decision to shun the a350 in favor of the 787-10 is looking more wise everyday. The a350 is still an outstanding aircraft. Both companies are pushing each other and the airlines and passengers are the winners because of it.
