  • Al Spoler travels to Wicomico County to meet Stefanie and Matt Barfield who’s love of food and history was cultivated into Chesterfield Heirlooms, a 12 acre farm specializing in open-pollinated heirloom varieties. Al will tour the farm’s hoop houses, give Matt an extra harvesting hand, before hitting the fields to help plant some veggies. Along the way he’ll learn about produce that originates overseas and dates back to yesteryear. He’ll end the day tasting a nice bountiful harvest and having learned that at Chesterfield Heirlooms every plant has a story to tell.
