I could listen to you guys all day. Not only are you funny, your conversations are comedic history. The comedy genre is probably the most precious form of entertainment. Very few people can pull it off well.
I just started listening to you guys a few weeks ago and am on a binge. One thing I find interesting is the consistency and confirmation by disparate guests of the shared stories. I'm always like "fuck Dana, or fuck Spademan, you told this same damn story with x, you, and z guest", but then I realize to relevant continuity. Golden. Buh-bye.
Ok guys. Thanks 🙏 because of listening to almost all of these now...I have developed my own Lorne impression. I'm using it if I have to say something to someone I don't really want to say ..like " I'm sorry, but I have to cancel..." In Lorne's voice. It works like a charm.
Kimmel did a great job of herding these two cats. You can see how being an experienced interviewer rather than a comedian, when needed, makes the difference. I’ve listened to most of these episodes, and they usually ramble in one way or another. This one had structure, and it seemed like that made both Carvey and Spade more relaxed. I’m not a super fan of Kimmel, but his skill made this the best episode in the series. It really requires one person to be in Kimmel’s role. Maybe they should hire a third person to facilitate the proceedings. One who’s happy to let others shine, and to ask specific followup questions when necessary.
Back in the day, I knew Spade was funny but I thought he was a bit mean-spirited because of Hollywood Minute. I've come to realize that it was just an act and he's really a nice guy. I'm so glad he and Carvey do this podcast. Kimmel did a fantastic job on this episode. He's great at everything he does.
What an interesting switch-up in the format by using Jimmy based on your (most prevalent) sustained relationship. That being: of interviewees to him! Still the Fly On The Wall we all love...and are all so cherished as an audience by being gifted with every week. ❤ Thank You!
That was really good. Kimmel kept them on track better than usual and we got more details from their stories we’ve heard before. Definitely added a lot of value! Good job Jimmy!! 🎉
17k subscribers? - for the SNL archive show?? - get yourselves some cameras gentlemen - people like to see the people their listening to - and watch the numbers rise.
Just great. The chemistry, the chemistry. Jimmy is a master at interesting and pointed follow ups. David nailed the anecdotal bits and his trademark snark insertions are as funny and pitch perfect to my ear as in years past. I never saw Dana or David back in their pre SNL stand up days but I did see A. Whitney Brown when his sidekick was his Dog of Renown. He'd do standup street theater in Ghirardelli square in The City and Mom would bring my sis and I on outings there often. Had to be '79ish or something. Aside from his failed moment in front of Sir Paul, 12 year old me thought A. Whitney killed back in the day.
Big Up from Kitchener, Canada! Mr. Spade and the late great Mr. Farley shot some of Tommy Boy across the 401 in Cambridge. Pretty sure that's where Callahan auto is. 🇨🇦
Dear Mr Carvey, I have a great line from my 365 stupidest things said calendar for your Biden impression. He said, "You're a one-horse pony, I tell ya." I could hear you saying it along with "come on folks". Thank you both for this podcast! It is brilliant and helps me through many a work day with the humor. Keep doing these amazing casts! Thank you!
Are you guys seriously telling how you got on SNL again?? Every time you ask a guest how they got on you tell both of your stories. Like seriously every time.
Hi David Spade, Jimmy Kimmel, and Dana Carvey. I will watch this later guys im having some wisers. I know I wont appreciate it enough. Tipsey and i have to sort this place. Honestly i dont know how you guys do what you do. Although you are in good company so i guess thats how. I just wanted you guys to know i really appreciate every funny sometimes not funny etc you all share. I couldnt survived life without some David Spade
Funny, I like this David Spade in Fly on the Wall, and I used to dislike him, because of Hollywood Minute. I thought it was smarmy. Yet now I know Mr Spade just wanted to be there with anything. I can sympathize. Cheers.
@@ZeroESG.goopootoob Then why are you here? Jimmy's name is right there, how could you have missed it? You are just a troll vampire who goes around spreading hate and discontent. Go away....
Randon Thought. Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi have been Producing a show with Lorne. I wonder what that experience is like. I have wondered how involved Lorne would have to be with those guys around.
My top three shows: 1- Jimmy Kimmel 2- Conan 3- Adam Sandler These three were really entertaining and easy to follow. Hope they get when things cool off, Alec Baldwin .
the fact that kimmel didn’t show up in black face, didn’t demand you guys take more vaccines, and isn’t cry makes this a very successful interview. congrats boys!!
Another fun episode. Hopefully Dana and David learned how to interview a little better. I thought it was interesting when Jimmy seemed to try and get them to agree that Chevy Chase sucks. However, Dana and David seem to have empathy for Chevy and maybe even an affinity towards him that many others don’t have.
Noticed that, too. It seems like by “all” accounts of various casts that have worked with him, he was cranky a-hole, and I’m pretty sure they probably all looked forward to working with this comedy legend.
I still remember how REALLY PISSED OFF Eddie Murphy was with Spade. I think he even threatened him. Not positive though. Eddie Murphy got his start being a comedian. He made fun of people too. I can't stand people who, can dish it, but can't take it. Hollywood Minute was so damn funny.
It'd be a good episode because of Spade & Carvey, no matter the lame guest. Leave out the woke, racist, dirtbag, government shills. This show doesn't need 'em.
@@Mrstikoh boy another anonymous idiotic opinion on UA-cam comments, must be true, thank you for waking me up 😂, no one cares about your opinions , get over it

Oh, the heartbreak I share at the loss of old voice messages that got lost!! That one hit me hard, thanks for sharing this!!👏🏼💖✌🏼
That story of Farley waiting to the last second to tell Spade the line was from stripes was great. John Candy said it.
I just realized Mike Myers got the voice for Dr. Evil from Lorne Michaels
Love the dynamic with Jimmy.
An excellent episode. Great back & forth. Best one yet.

100%. They cover the same topics, never prepare, and David often seems to lose interest.
Kimmel is a disgusting tool. That totalitarian puppet would bend to pleasure any scumbag. Good episode, though.
He was the producer behind the scenes of the Kevin and Bean LA radio show, constantly in their ear feeding them jokes and keeping them on topic
The Paul McCartney-Julian Lennon Story at 34:30 is so hilarious!!

Best one yet let's do part 2 3 4 5 and keep it going
My husband found ‘Trapped in Paradise’ a few years ago and now he watches it every Christmas: I think it has a bit of a following…
Fabulous episode.
Greg Giraldo was the GOAT roaster
His stand up was top notch as well. He's the deceased comedian I miss the most.
"We need someone tall " Lorne Michaels
Good show guys
It's amazing how much funnier and more likable Jimmy Kimmel is when he isn't babbling on about politics or doing hacky Trump jokes.

David. Omg. That answering machine story physically hurt to hear. I’m so sorry
Sounds like Julian Lennon… 😂 I had to listen to that multiple times. Thank you sorry for the late comment
Nice. Kimmel. The very best thing about Jimmy Kimmel is definitely Adam Carolla
I always liked that it was obvious the people on SNL would be looking at the cue cards - under duress. Lol.
Lorne sounds like Dr Evil🤣
