You’re the first person on UA-cam who addressed the fact that one’s head shape affects the wig band. The back of my head is flat and I have to use hairpins in my short ponytail to keep the wig band in place. Sometimes even that doesn’t work. Thanks for reminding us that we may have to adjust wig and wig band if we’re wearing it all day. I’m African American and we have different hair textures which makes a difference. Many of us have 4C coils and we cornrow our hair and that can keep the wig in place…pretty much like you’re “buzz cut” has texture to help your wig stay on. However my hair is slippery, and too thin to cornrow without having more hair loss. Because I have hot flashes I’m not one for a wig cap as it makes my head much too hot. Scared of glue because it may not hold if I sweat too much. Thanks for all your great tips ❤
After 3 yrs of wearing wigs I only just now found you! Thank you for a great video. I’m a new subscriber and I’ll let my wig sisters know that they will be missing out if they don’t check you out!
I could not get away with the velco type as it was always slip up from the nap. I use the wig grip with a bra fastener at the back. I also have to glue the wig grip to my head first and this makes my wig from going no were
You are gorgeous in both styles, with wig and with your natural short hair ❤️you rock the buzz cut. It makes your eyes pop! Keep slaying beautiful! Many greetings from Germany.
Last week at the dentist my wig slipped off while laying back in the chair. Rolled on the floor. Talk about mortified. So i found you. Thanks so much. Five years of wearing slippery wigs. Never heard of the position for the friction on the band and now it all makes sense.
From Tishia Hill Sometimes depending on where I'm going or doing I use wig tape to tape down the wig grip down And then I also put the wig tape on top of the way grip and that has been very helpful!! Thank you so much for this video ❤
I love my wig grips. I don't use them wirh every wig, but I feel extra secure when I do use them. One of my grips has a lace panel to use with lace parted wigs.
bought myself a pair of wig grips and tried one out yesterday. Thanks for this video, helped me to feel confident and have my wig safely on my head all the way on a windy day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you for the video. Its very helpful. You really suit this wig. I am sorry you have allupicia. However you do look good with your hair short too. Xxx❤ I hate my wigs, they itch. Can I wash them? Synthetic hair?
Any tips for us flat heads? I've got a flat back head and the grip slips up along with the wig at the back. The more you try tightening it the more it creeps up due to the head being flat
You're beautiful! You remind me of the actress Kate Mara. You even sound like her. I must have a flat occipital because my wig grip sometimes slides back. 😢 I saw a video that said to NOT tighten the wig grip because it will stretch out too much and then be useless. But Ineed it tight. Is that true? 😢 Thanks for the tips!
I never read anything about making a grip too tight because it will loosen, I only know what I just did on the fly, as I went with it when I got one in 2012, but to me the only reason to not make a grip too tight is to avoid giving yourself a tension headache or discomfort. The purpose of the grip is to keep the wig on and for that to happen the grip has to stay on, so whatever tightness (comfortably) that is needed to make it happen, I think that's the right level. 💕💕
@@WomensHairLossProject Thank you. That's what I thought, too. If it's too loose, what's the use? It's not going to keep the wig on. But now that you say a too tight wig grip can cause tension headaches, I think it's true for me. I'm wearing it too tight. Thanks, "Kate!" 😊
Most of my wigs are Follea wigs, and I've purchased them from Sophie Hafner: www.sophiehafner.com (the one in this video) I also have a few from Dini wigs, and one from Lena Wigs. 💕
I tried the wig grip and it did not work for me, but Got 2 be glue works for me. I can keep my wig on for a week and goes no where, stays in place, even while sleeping in my wig for a week.
@@louisem1179 I put in front and top of my head and on the sides. I can keep the wig on for a week and still stays on. I need special glue remover to get the wig off my head, without ripping my hair.
What do you do when say your on a date and the date spontaneously says "you're beautiful" and tries to put their hands through your hair? Any tips? (from anybody)
On date 2 my date went in for the kiss goodnight complete with hand under my hair on my neck and i was mortified so I decided that date 3 i would tell him and did! He barely blinked and was more complimentary about me telling him and said he liked me more now. Now I am a die hard blonde so he wants to see me in all colors, so now I have bought two browns, a red and a black! Just tell him, if he cares so much then he is not for you.

They were truly a lifesaver for me, if not for the grip, I have no idea how I would have kept a wig on my head. 💕

That is why I use "It Stays" It washes off easy.
Yeah. My wig flew off at the dentist. He picked it up for me. It stays is on order as I type...lol
What wig is that you're wearing?
Can I use any sort of grip for a topper? I hate the clips on my topper, it cost 1300, I have it 2 months but have only worn it 3 times
they do have topper grips, specifically for toppers, but I've never worn a topper so don't how well they work with it. 💕

Do you put it all over or just the front and Back?
Got 2b glued does seem to work well for many women, thank you for sharing your experience with it, as the Grip doesn't work for everyone. 💕
U spray ur bio and wig stickers to it or?

I clip the grip to my bio because it slips back no matter what I do. Whatever works I guess!
My grips don't stay on. Must have a flat back.
You didn't say what's in the spray bottle !!
I thought she said she just used water in it.
