    Just got mine and was really impressed, although the clean solution and dirty water tanks are very small had to refill several times for a small living room, stop and go, stop and go, I found that a hassle.

    I just used mine for the first time, I moved into a house with carpet and haven’t cleaned it since I moved in and this cleaner did an amazing job, carpet feels almost dry when I finish! The only thing I didn’t like is the small water container and small dirty water reservoir, other than that I’m very happy with it so far and it has a 5 year warranty +.

    I chose this because I have a shark navigator vacuum and never been happier with a vacuum. Wanted the deep cleaner. Was not disappointed. So happy with it on my large area rug that was going to cost me $500 to clean once.

    It works extremely well, even on old stains. The water extraction is excellent. The small hand-held suction device (with spray) is great for furnitures. Cleaning the machine thoroughly is very important, it takes time but you don’t want to have residue in the brushes or the hose.

    It’s brave of Shark to enter the carpet cleaner market. Bissell, Rug Doctor, and Hoover are well established names in this game. I like how the hose is integrated and the tools are stored onboard. But the tanks looks crippling small. My Bissell 2X Pet Pro has a 1L clean water tank and that’s barely enough for my bedroom and too small for my living room. The build quality also scares me. I’ve had Shark vacuums before and they are okay, but are fragile. I’ll happily trade less suction power for a better built machine.

    • @Mackeson3
      @Mackeson3 Місяць тому

      According to "ibaisiac" ( Another UA-cam channel who has tested every vacuum cleaner and carpet shampooer known to man I think!) He found The Shark to be a very good carpet cleaner BUT it left the carpet very wet afterwards! So After looking at his videos l decided on a Rug Doctor TruDeep ( The pet version) and I am VERY impressed with it. Not only does it clean carpets and rugs extremely well it also gets most of the water out too. The carpets are left fit to walk on. I had a Numatic George before, I thought that was good but The Rug Doctor is way better!

      yeah in that case, best to return it. The seal could be defective somewhere or the dirty water tank is not attached all the way or cant attach all the way because of a seal.

    I have seen the infomercial for it and how can you go wrong with a 90 day money back guarantee and a 5 year VIP warranty. I have a shark vacuum and it has thee most powerful suction vs any other vacuum I have had and that amazes me every time. This is what they are claiming on this cleaner as well which is exactly what you want in a carpet cleaner.. you want it to extract as much dirt and water as it possibly can to get the carpets their cleanest!

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  11 місяців тому +6

      Hi and thanks for watching. you could definitely use the carpet xpert for an entire room. I used it on an 250 Sq ft room using 2 clean water tanks and had 3 dirty water tanks. If you go faster or it's for light carpet cleaning, you could use only 1 water tank but it will still be about 2 dirty water tanks. Soap bubbles would make the Shark think the dirty tank was full before it actually full. Hope that helps. The suction power will not disappoint.

    I just picked up this machine at Costco for $250. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m considering returning it. From Costco as well the Bissell Proheat 2X revolution pet pro is being discounted to $200. I’m having a hard time deciding if we should keep the shark or save $50 and get the tried and true Bissell. It’s been out longer and proven. What would you all do? We have 3 days to make a decision.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  10 місяців тому +3

      hi! In this case, if you have a big house and intend to use the Bissell biweekly or more, I would switch to the Bissell because you save the $50, Costco already extends warranty on the Shark or the Bissell and long run, you can get replacement parts for the Bissell, and the hand attachment is better imo. I do think if you have a smaller home or an apt, the Shark will be more versatile, still has the 5 year warranty (does take work to file a claim with shark) and the shark does extract better than the bissell. The Proheat 2x is big so you need space to store it.

      @@TheFrenchGlow I appreciate the response, the house it pretty big, but this will only be used on a rug that’s about 12 feet by 16 feet and then a couple of couches and a chair. The rest of the house is hardwood flooring. So in this case you would go with the shark? I’m hoping either hand piece would do well enough for the couch cleaning.

    I have the Bissell. It's over rated. One major ding is that the tools/attachments are not onboard. And, the solution barely dribbles out of the attachment. I have to use a separate spray bottle, even after taking everything apart and cleaning it. In addition, my Bissell cleans, well, but leaves a lot of wetness behind.

      Hi! That looks like Shark's plan but you can get oxy carpet cleaning solution in bulk from a number of brands. I have used the shark with their products as well as rug doctor and bissell mixes. Being totally honest, I didn't really notice a difference and felt you still want to pretreat your carpets with the carpet expert or stain striker.

      @@TheFrenchGlow you just need to do a little research to find the answer. The actual answer is no you don't need to do it and it's not a stunt to purchase more chemicals. It's clearly stated in the manual that oxicleaners work best on First Contact and not when diluted in water. So the real answer to this person's question is no by regular shampooer that doesn't have an oxy portion, and then you can buy any oxy concentrate to pour in. It's not brand specific it's just chemicals

If I have a heavy stain, I usually put a thin piece of cardboard or an old towel on top of a large garbage bag underneath that area on a big area rug or if its very wet, I will let it dry outside or on kitchen bathroom tile.

      I’ve got another question, did you have any issues with either this particular machine or the one with StainStriker extracting the water? I saw a review from another guy who’s reviewed a ton of machines and he had a lot of issues with this machine extracting the water leaving the carpet super wet for hours. ua-cam.com/video/4_zTpeknDr8/v-deo.html

    Can this be effectively used to clean an entire bedroom? 4:43

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  3 місяці тому +1

      For carpet, yes but you will need to refill the tank/empty the dirty water repeatedly if you a deep clean. It really depends on the size of the bedroom and if the stains are big.

      @@TheFrenchGlow no specific stains per se. More like kids running in and out with dirt under their shoes

      What I like about Bissell is that they sell replacement parts at a reasonable cost.

      @TheFrenchGlow You are using the urine cup as a stain striker that is for pet urine. Traps it into that small bowl, so it does not go into the holding tank.

    Theres a UK test that measured exactly how much water was sucked up out of deep pile carpet and it was far from impressive. this video was only tested on a rug.

    FYI you don't know if shark designed it to have the tank pulled off when you want to do suction only? Seriously if you're going to do a comprehensive review rtfm! I just downloaded the PDF and I can quickly read that no it was not designed to pull the tank off when you want to do suction and in fact there is a specific button right above the power button called the "mode button" which when you press it, it stops dispensing water and you can suction all day long. LOL come on dude!!
