  • Sometimes our hearts are so filled with the love of Jesus Christ that we feel we can do any mighty thing he asks. Very often, He asks for something small that is slightly inconvenient or a little outside our comfort zone. In that moment, the adversary may interrupt: “That’s not important. That’s not a prompting. That’s not possible.” Righteous intention alone will not be sufficient to hold on to that prompting and fulfill our assignment from the Lord. We will need the courage to stand up and move our feet in the direction of heaven's goals, before the opportunity has passed us by.
Mandy heard clearly her assignment from the Lord. Like Nephi and the Brother of Jared, who were each commanded by God to build ships, Mandy prayed for further instructions and then did the less-comfortable thing that was right (1 Nephi 17:9, Ether 2:18-19). And like Nephi and the Brother of Jared, because she believes in the strength, ability, and wisdom of Jesus Christ, she didn’t have to depend on just her own understanding or ability. Because she knows He gave everything for her, she allowed herself to step a little outside her comfort zone to accomplish His work.
Many of us can remember a moment in our lives when we diminished or discounted a prompting from the Lord. Though we may not know the result of that missed opportunity, we may still think upon it with a hint of regret. Such memories are designed to inspire us to swifter obedience the next time He calls our name-and He will call again! He still believes we can do it. For as long as we keep trying, He will always call again.
The Book of Mormon is scripture which the Father brought forth out of a hillside to restore His gospel to its fullness in these Last Days. He would like to place it in the hands of every person on earth because every one of us is His beloved child. Do you know just one person who might receive it from your hands? If not, are you willing to pray as Nephi, “Lord, wither shall I go that I may find?” (1 Nephi 17:9)

I love that this video shows that the important thing is that we follow the Spirit to share the gospel and that we do it because we love God. The outcome is not as important as having the desire and acting to serve God.

I'm so grateful the Lord allows us and actually wants us to participate on His work, this gives us the opportunity to grow on our faith, on our testimony and to create links of friendship with the ones around us :)

Yes! We thank you God for a prophet. No fear anyone fear is one of Lucifer's strongest tools. In the scriptures 365 times it says fear not. All glory to God

This reminds me of two moments in my life.
I once believed that I felt a prompting to take the Church pamphlets that I had in my backpack and go cry out in a packed park that was having a small fair/carnival.
I was willing to do it, but then I suddenly said had a thought that I wouldn’t and the feeling left me. I prayed for confirmation, and I didn’t feel anything, I’m admittedly still confused if what I received was a prompting or not.
I also had a moment where I walked out of the temple after a wonderful session, and I suddenly was pumped up with an intense desire to share the gospel with literally EVERYONE. It was so sudden as I left the temple grounds that it shocked me. I wondered why I didn’t feel like that in the temple itself?
As I walked to catch the bus back home, the feeling was still with me, and I had a feeling to share with the people at the bus station, and I was/am willing to, but I didn’t want to pester others, then I became uncomfortable, and the feeling left me. That was about half a year ago.
Later this month, I heard a video from Elder Bednar that being “in-your-face” with the gospel isn’t the way to do things.
Did I receive these as promptings, and I failed? Or was it giving myself revelation? I suppose I’ll know at the judgement bar.

After watching this video, I read from where I am in the Book of Mormon, and read these words as quoted by Nephi from Isaiah 6:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said: Lo, this has touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said: Here am I; send me.
9 And he said: Go and tell this people-Hear ye indeed, but they understood not; and see ye indeed, but they perceived no
We won't always have the blessing of seeing someone receive the Gospel, but we need to be willing to love, share, and invite others to come unto Christ.
