I recently got the chance to meet up with Edd China after shooting for Wheeler Dealers. Armed with some of your questions, I began the awkward, frequently 'heightist' and sometimes rude interview...

Edd's a lot funnier and better to watch like this than on a scripted tv show. I like him even more than I already did

Yes, I always thought this was a bit of a joke especially as his partner Mike considered himself the sales wizard. Some of the rebuilds and refurbishments Edd performed were stunning and appeared to demand a high price tag to match. Mike always sold cheaply in my view, maybe we should all look him up at one of his dealerships for that low priced high spec BMW?
in the early days of the show, they almost always made a profit, and no Ed was not getting paid an hourly fee, but as his net worth today is 3 Mil, it seems they did pay him to be on the show.
Brewer never ever added to the equation Edd’s Labour, so as far as I could see they never made any profit on any cars they sold if you added that to the final costing.
Who knew edd China was such a lad? I remember him from the early series, he was so awkward on camera, he has changed so much.
He got quite cocky , its probably stardom

I've a lot to thank Mr.China for. The girlfriend though hates him, as I've knackered my car trying to change the timing belt. BUT I did try!
Don't worry mate, I did the same thing... ended up doing an engine swap... and that engine hasn't had a belt change :~
I got it sorted since, I had stripped the bolt from the alternator so it was stuck. With PlusGas, a centre punch, and some dtermination I got it sorted

Yeah Edd was a good sport, he has a decent sense of humour very likeable guy IMO.

I'm convinced, looking at the body language and little bits of nice piss take, Edd knows this guy really well. Typical English humour. Makes me a happy chap knowing this. Others from non Uk could well see this as rude. It's not. The only other countries that GENERALLY have our 'warped' humour are the Aussies. Long may it continue

Am positive that what they lose or don’t make on the sale of the vehicle, they more than make up for the lost profit by SELLING the show for lots of money to the TV networks that air it worldwide.

+oscar tapiero i am sure he would say vokswagen beetle or kombi (basically the same vehicle) - as he has said as much quite a few times in the show - he cut his teeth on them and they are very easy to work on - body liftf off the engine with a few bolts
