  • Today, I answer a question I received from a mother who asked if my programs would be helpful for grief-related nervous system challenges, following her daughter’s unexpected passing. (The short answer is yes.) I hope the education and guidance I’ve shared here will offer a flicker of hope for moving forward with as much connection to self and regulation as possible.

I've spent my entire life severely dissociated. Afraid of the mind, the body, life, etc. I lived in an in between, a no man's land of not allowed to be "I AM" or human. I literally had to flee it all in order to survive. This is slowly changing. YAY!

Thank you Irene for addressing grief. I just completed SBSM and found it difficult to do all the lessons but intuitively I knew I had to go at a very slow pace & only do as much as I could. I lost my youngest son suddenly 23 years ago then lost my oldest son suddenly 2 years ago. It is challenging beyond words but your message resonates deeply. My daily walks in nature along with orienting are probably the most comforting thing I'm able to do. All other advice out there regarding grief is not helpful at all. Thank you for your wonderful work!

I'm so very sorry for your loss. The pain is unfathomable. I was the one who sent the question to Irene. My daughter died by suicide this past November, two days after we arrived to visit her and her young family. My world feels shattered. It's helpful to hear you've taken Irene's SBSM course, thank you for sharing that. From one grieving mother to another - I see you, I feel that pain, and I'm sending gentle love your way. Bless...

This is so important. Thank you for talking about it. I enrolled on your SBSM course last September. I haven’t finished it yet as I had to really slow down my digesting of the course. I had had a TBI in 2022 caused by coming off psych meds. Then my father had a brain haemorrhage and my mother went blind. I had to care for them both while I was trying to recover my own health. Then my mum died. I was completely floored. Your course is helping me so much and I’m working through it slowly. I can’t recommend it more. Xx

As a Grief Educator and bereaved parent I can testify that this work is so important for those in grief, especially due to child loss and pregnancy loss. I truly appreciate the work you do Irene. It is much needed. It is natural to disconnect from our bodies and get stuck in our heads after such loss. The mind spends so much time searching for the why (Bargaining stage) only to find there is no acceptable why. Connecting with our bodies and the environment are key in moving through the grieving process. Learning to live after loss is an act of courage and what our loved ones would want for us. A parent’s grief never ends because their love for their child never dies, but we can learn to carry our love and our grief with us along the journey of life.

My therapist says i was secondary traumatized by losing this girl who was a rather not too famous singer but i grew up with her voice and songs witbout knowing who she was and i didnt know her name until after she passed. The survivers guilt used to eat me up so much even 6 years later. It's weird how our Brain works

I am yet to purchase a course. Do you recommend doing the 21 day nervous system regulation course before doing the one you just mentioned? Or can do this one? I have been working with your 2 free audios and they have been great and really resonate with them. Thanks so much Irene for your contribution to the world, we all really need to learn these teachings. ❤

Hello, Sophia from Team Lyon here. Irene offers two online programs The 21-Day Nervous System Tune-Up and SmartBodySmartMind (SBSM).
The 21 Day is more of an intro course to Irene's work, think of it as an appetizer before the main meal if you will. While we have had many people benefit from the 21 Day course, many find that it opens them up to the theory and ideas that you then dive further into with the SBSM program. The 21 Day Course is not a prerequisite, but if you do have time to do it prior to the SBSM program, it makes a great introduction to the work that is covered in SBSM.
In the 21 Day course you can purchase at any time as it is self study composed of 9 lessons overall. With SBSM, you get 34 lessons, practices, 5 biology of stress videos, live Q&A calls, live training calls, movement lessons, a supportive area to ask your questions, and lifetime access to all the material, plus access to the 21 Day course. Our next SBSM registration period will commence February 13th. smartbodysmartmind.com/
SBSM goes into much more detail and you can pause and take it at your own pace if you need to. Also, if you register for the 21 Day course beforehand, you receive $300US off the registration price of SBSM.
You need to go with your gut sense or intuition as to which program is a good fit for you. Whichever you may choose, the education and practices from either program will start you on your nervous system healing journey.

Guys here is the deal. The only way you can heal from the loss of a loved one is to join Irene lipns courses. She will describe your trauma perfectly making it sound like she “gets you” and then direct you to her site with “free pdfs” then you are spammed with joining her 1250 dollar April 2024 course
