      A couple of problems here.
Touch DNA can degrade very quickly - in days - depending on the conditions.
other kinds of DNA are more likely to last longer and be more useful .
The lack of Adnan’s DNA doesn’t prove that he did not commit the murder. That’s not how DNA works. because Adnan and Hae had a relationship it would be expected that his DNA could easily be found on her clothing.
By the same token, his handprint was found on the map book which contained the ripped out page for Leakin Park.
that still doesn’t mean he committed the murder. you would expect his handprints to be in her car and on items within the car. if they never found a handprint or his DNA in her car that obviously wouldn’t mean that he was never in her car because we know he was.
now the kind of DNA that would be relevant would be if his male DNA was in a place that it didn’t belong and he said he didn’t have relations with her for some period of time before she went missing. That's would be incriminating.

Because I agree Adnan was taking regular rides in the car so dna around the car is not a big deal. All circumstantial evidence makes adnan and jay the murderers but evidence like these don’t. @@bryce3851If you really want to see an unbiased objective opinion on the hae min Lee case - look at crime weekly's 8 part series. They have 27 hours of content which addresses pretty much all the sources of information in this trial. There is damning evidence against adnan, and although perhaps he shouldn't have been convicted because there is a level of doubt (idk if it's reasonable doubt or just some doubt), it is highly PROBABLE that he was involved in the death of Hae. The most damning evidence is that on January 27th 1999, after seemingly finding out that jay wilds was arrested, adnans cell phone records indicate that he was near both leakin park where the body was buried AND where Haes car was found. It appears that he was worried the police were onto Jay and or Jay had turned on him, and he was checking out the crime scenes to see if there was any police activity. There were literally no other times in over 1000+ cell phone records that suggest adnan was near these sites apart from the night of haes death, and the day after Jay was arrested. To me that is very compelling

This is one of the shittiest, most surface level theories about this case, and I implore you to look into the case in more detail. If you want someone to do the research for you crime weekly did a very thorough coverage of the case and evidence/arguments for and against adnan, and you might be surprised to see how much is stacked up against him. I have a hard time believing Jay wasn’t there, but I also have a very, very hard time believing adnan wasn’t there as well.
