Hey everyone I hope you enjoyed the video!
Just wanted to let everyone know the tune I had revolution do was a very mild tune just for the simple fact the car has a lot of parts on the way and the car will be seeing the dyno a lot in the future, so I wasn’t trying to reach any crazy numbers. Thanks for watching also the car will be shifting at 8k RPMs soon that is why I wanted to put the 5w50 oil now cause it will save my oil pump gears in the long run!!
Hello mf,
Do i need to change my 5w20 oil to 5w50 when i tune my s550 fbo on 93 oct at 8k rpm ?
@@7amood965 all depends how you drive it mine only gets raced so yes but everyone ik runs it
@@ItalianStallion410
I have 2015 s550 5.0 M6
Mods will be :-
Drop in aFe dry air filter
Cat delete + x pipe (stock headers & axle back)
Ported 18+ IM
Gonna tune on 93 oct and rev it to 7800 rpm
It is my daily drive I don’t race much
But i wanna keep my engine & oil pump in safe
Should i go from 5w20 to 5w50 full synthetic ?
@@7amood965 just go 5w30
@@ItalianStallion410
Alright, thx mf
"Everything thats mine has to be difficult"
I felt that. I can relate 100 times over.
So basically 11hp, 11ftlbs gain from intake and 93 tune. Dang I was expecting a lot more! For stock, I’d say it’s was pretty well optimized! Good job Ford!
Yeah also my car did come pretty hot from the factory made good power over the rest that was in there stock
@@d3et1roi3t we had fans on the car lol I walked in front of them so you didn’t see them if the car was that hot it wouldn’t of even made good power
Finally a proper dyno video done in steps that make sense. Basically proved out what i thought would be the case. Ford has a very powerful stock computer that can really do its job. Raising the rev limit also skews the results compared to stock but not by enough to really matter on the street.
I have a 2018 mustang 5.0. I replaced the stock cold air intake with a roush cold air intake. The throttle response is amazing. I could feel the difference.
Nice brother
The stock air box is sufficient. CIA on this car is literally a cosmetic thing. The air-fed stock air box will have cooler temps than an open cone. Save $350, drop a performance filter in the air box and call it a day.
Not true. The CAI literally adds whp and tq. I raced a stock mustang GT without CAI and my car pulled after 3rd gear.
Yea my jlt made good power with e85 alone
@Fr33man1988 too funny, same trans? Wheel changes? Too many variables, lol! 😂
@@Fr33man1988 That doesn't say anything. Only one way to test if it helps, do 3 dyno pulls with the stock one, then do 3 with your aftermarket one WITH THE HOOD CLOSED and see if it actually does something. From my experience, JLT doesn't do a damn thing.
@@Elver_Galarga_jugothe JLT intake requires a tune to run since it uses a larger diameter tube versus the smaller stock airbox. It’s simple physics…the larger intake will provide more air into the engine.
I went from a 2018 ecoboost to a 2015 gt. Using your videos as a guideline of some sort lol great content as well 💪🏾
Thank you and congrats on the GT
They don’t wanna admit it but the 10 speed is the king of the streets right now
Oh ik it is !
It is. Much faster and superior to the mt-82. Still chose the mt-82 for my 2020 though, manual is too fun imo.

Well done video and beautiful car. The biggest challenge we Mustang owners have is getting the power to the ground. Burnouts are fun, but traction is funnner! The stock Perelli Pee Zero tires are absolute garbage. I like those Michellins you have, much better.
Thank you and me too
Hate to be that guy but go check out Alejandro Flores’s stock air box vs open element with the hood closed you lose power. But great video love how you showed the before and after.

418 stock
453 intake and tune

@@ItalianStallion410 definitely headers help a coyote exhale alot better.
426hp to the wheels Stock?! The gen 3 coyotes are ridiculous. They're making upwards of 500crank hp to be putting down those numbers only being rated at 460 stock
Yeah kinda crazy
Gotta get back to Richmond to run my ISF!!! Car sounds strong
How much money you spent to get 500whp i wanna see if it will be worth it i have a manual 6 speed 2021 mustang gt 430whp
It was mainly cobra jet throttle body and full exhaust and E85 tune I would say about $4,500 and that’s all new parts
SAE numbers are corrected for altitude, temp, humidity, etc. The consistency of the numbers is awesome, but that's not what the car would make in real life. SAE is a basic comparison of say, someone who lived in the mountains where altitude is high and temp is low versus someone who lives at sea level with very high humidity to simply compare the 2 builds using fixed data. Great video, new sub.
Thanks for watching man
The gen 3 coyote is elite compared to a gen 2
What year did the Gen 3 come out? I have a 2019 PP2 and a 2018 Premium Auto. Gen 3s?
@@GR018 I believe it came out in 2018. You got some fresh units

For sure
So 426 stock to 436 with tune & cai, I really thought for that much money you’d gain more than 10hp.
Yeah my car came with a hot tune from ford lol
I’ve been doing a lot of research trying to decide if it’s really worth the money to have my 2019 GT tuned.
@@HumVDoctor1 if you are doing FBO I would say yes now with everything I did my car made right at 500 to the wheels NA
beautiful car man. But why no fans in front for the engine?
Thanks man and we had one
🐎🏁S550 is a solid pony, I know first hand.
Was there a fan blowing on the motor? When driving you’re sucking in a bunch of cold air you need to replicate that on a dyno.
Yes of course we had a fan on it!
My guess stock is: 420 hp
My guess after mods: 450 hp
Edit: Wow I was surprised how well it did stock. Great video!
Thanks bro I appreciate the support !!
I got a 22 performance package. Im about to get catted kooks and i already got corsa extreme with double h pipe. Also im getting jlt and 93 tune any ideas on power gains?
I would say 40+ horsepower from what I remember if you do a E85 tune you’ll really wake that car up
Why is it that my gen 3 hemi gained over 30+ rwhp from bone stock to. I thing but a 93 tune? I keep seeing videos of these mustangs not gains crap from a tune. Why is that?

Hey bro what year was this mustang 17?? Bro im from Maryland and would love to meet up with you about mustangs
Mine is a 2020
Could you feel the difference when you drove the car after the JLT intake?
Not really tbh where you really feel it is in the tune cause I am able to fully rev the car all the way out to 7500rpm and it won’t pull timing anymore over 100MPH
Sounds VICIOUS!!
Does the tune void the warranty?
Yes
gen 3s making more whp than gen 1s make to the crank. impressive
Gen 1 coyotes advantage is weight. The cars and the engine itself are lighter then all the other gens.
What kind of oil did you say you’re using? I have a 2016 Gt and I hate the idle noise. I want it to be quite lol.
I run 5w50
Thicker oil is supposed to quiet it.. I run what ford says tho f that lol
@@Shiftnlift best of luck!! 👍🏽
@@Shiftnlift Its not too well publisized, but look in your owners manual. Ford says if you gonna do track mode or run it hard, use a thicker oil. The 5w20 is mostly for fuel mileage.
@@JeromyBranch never knew that bro u taught me something on that one ..
Makes considerable more power than my 2016 camaro ss a8. BTW not guaranteed numbers haha. Dynos don't guarantee anything but as you probably know by now a tool see changes. Tunes only aren't going to make more power most of the time just cause ford and gm use knock sensors and know a hell of a lot more than any tuner. Even the best of the best are blown away at what ford engineers are able to do. If the weren't limited by emissions, longevity, nvh, and warranty claims they'd absolutely make way more power than any tuner.

Open air cold airs are useless especially on 18’s and up. Dyno it with the hood closed like real world conditions and you’ll probably lose power with it. Better off with a $50 drop in.
Once the car is driving both intakes are the same closed box and open the only difference between the 2 are the closed box intake temps stay a little higher than the open box when the car is just in traffic for example.
