Thanks for the video, this was extremely helpfull. I did the whole job today start to finish in about 2 1/2 hours. You saved me a ton of guess work. It worked out smoothly & I didn't even F bomb once which is really good for me 😂
Thanks for the video I removed the power steering reservoir to make plenty of room. Got the bolts out just fine. Alternator will not budge. Afraid to beat on it much harder? Am I missing something?
@@lylepopson7527 oh you're talking bout it being stuck where it mounts. I had to hit with a hammer and pickle folk to get it to move. You can spray some penetrating fluid in the bolt holes as well.
Be truthful about how Ling it takes not how long the video is. It's a lot easier on my 15 sorento from the bottom but that's still at best 1hr 10 mins. Can we try this again
Your old alternator looks soaked with oil. Is that because of the engine oil leakage due to a bad "Low oil pressure sensor?" Kia had recall on the item (sensor).

Hi! Did you have to do anything to the AC after? Like, did you lose freon?
@@carlosmanuel3468no you wouldn’t
Thanks for the video. Going to tackle this tomorrow. Shouldn't be any surprises since you covered everything pretty well.
Beautiful 😍 work, thanks! Worked smart
Спасибо тебе добрый человек!!!
Thanks for the video

That's what I ended up doing
PB blaster and a block of wood and a big hammer 😮
And as much as I hated I had to hammer the new one in place🙄
Good video brutha thanks helped me a lot
Great video. Thank you. Damn you certainly held it together for a pain in the a$$ job. I probably would have let out a few f bombs🤣🤣
I definitely did, just off camera lol
Man the power steering pump is absolutely kicking my ass. I can’t get it back in for the life of me.
Dont feel bad, It did me in too.. lol Sand down the sides where it sits to create a lil more room.
THIS IS ALSO GOOD FOR HYUNDAI SANTA FES. THANKS!
What kinda tool was you using to unscrew your bolts?
Kobalt electric ratcheting wrench
Any tips on getting the power steering pump back in ?
@@tristyndavis4387 Wire brush or sand down the area where it sits then spray some wd 40 or equivalent in there.
Thanks for the info 👍🏾
Very helpful!! Thanks
Question the PS pump how big of a pain to get back in the bracket? And what did you do just wiggle it?
Not too bad. I would maybe hit it with a wire brush or sand paper to give it some more clearance to make it easy to get back in its spot.

If you thought it actually took 12 minutes in real time you probably should leave the job for someone else.
I think the bottom looks easier as well
@AUDIO2AUTO in his defense..that's how it is written ..
Hey bud does the tire absolutely have to be removed
No but it will make the job quicker/easier in the long run.
Good video thanks
Helping a friend change alternator got this done .Haveing trouble putting be power stering pump
Yea that was the hardest part for me, getting the pump back in its spot.. Took me about a good 20mins
Thank you for your vid He had the long bold missing .I went found a bolt .All went well . Thank you
Man, I've done everything you've said to do but the alternator just won't fit out. The AC lines are in the way. How did you get it out?
Move the power steering reservoir out the way, and you have to position the alternator just right to slide it out.
9:11 Position the alternator the exact way you see in the video when its on its side and slide it in the same way i drop the alternator down.
@@AUDIO2AUTO I'll give it a shot!
@@AUDIO2AUTO it worked!!! Thanks, bro!!

Its power steering fluid from when it was moved out of the way.
How similar to 2016?
Man just drop down AC compressor it took you 12 minutes just to take the belt off😅
thats my method for 2016 Kia Sorento as well but it extremely difficult to get the mounting bolt on top behind the AC tubes
How do u raise the engine up to get that top screw out....do u need another jack🤦
Yes, just use another jack with some wood or rubber in between the top of the jack and bottom of pan. Dont have to lift it far.
I used a 14mill flex ratchet
Kia Sorento 2? Kia Sorento 3?
LOL, im sorry, your video may be 11:47 but all the skipping in your video smh you were there for at least 2 hours.
12 mins!!!! More like half a day.
12 minutes lol 😂
Click bait 😂. 12 mins. Good job though
That's so dumb you have to raise the engine to get one bolt out. How hard would it have been to just put an access hole for it to go thru! 🤦🏻♂️
Exactly or they could have made the bolt shorter also.
That’s the power of an engineer at work
