  • Random footage about 100m down in perfect conditions.
This is essentially ambient light only bar the odd bit of signalling with my torch.
    GoPro 3 or 4.

    Titanic’s Sunken Sister.
Britannic lasted a lot longer than her older sister, but still suffered the same fate, WW1 robbed her of her chance to ever serve White Star Line with her Eldest Sister, The Olympic, the only one of the Trio to make it to Retirement.
in November 1916, She Struck a mine and went down in under an hour, Just over a 3rd the time it took her older sister to sink, but thankfully Britannic’s sinking only claimed 30 of the 1060 lives aboard compared to her sister’s 1500 Death Toll compared to the 2280 aboard.

I hope the Britannica will be equipped with a salvage device at all costs.

Shame they won't raise her as she's in relatively good condition and the only one that can be raised properly as Olympic no longer exists and Titanic much worse condition and too deep...she's the same model as her two older sisters so might have been legendary and exciting really to see her restored in a giant museum...

I don't think they can raise her. Shipwrecks tend to be very fragile and the time Brittannic has sat at the bottom means she's probably in no condition to be raised. She'd probably fall apart.

@@BellyLover06 ah i understand. After more than a century she might fall apart while attempting to move her. That's just wishful thinking then i guess..

even if it's possible to raise, not sure that it's a good idea. Going inside such an unstable structure would be too dangerouse for a museum, and it's also supposed to be a tomb so... a little bit disrespectful. And with all the trouble that it would be and the deterioration it would suffer once exposed to the atmosphere, i honnestly think Britannic is perfect where it is now, protected from vandalism. The wreck will hopefully last longue given how it is now after more than a centuri

@@elfi_ox of course they'll have to restore her and make it safe, there are no bodies. Everyone left the vessel while she was sinking so it's not a tomb but an historic artifact from WWI. She's in private hands quite some years now and the owner not planning to raise her.
She's in 1 peace sort of but big danger she'll crumble, fall apart when moving dammit.. she's a coral riff for all the wildlife there so that's something.
