Nice edits joe, so different from your “only good at cutting clips and adding music” in the early years of youtube. Got this reference from the podcast you and rob did that I watched 30mins back. Proud follower since joe feelserian days!
It’s difficult for me to explain just how much this video resonates with me. Being natty really sucks sometimes. We can only make gains for so long. Because of this it is often quite easy to become complacent with our training and diet. In a UA-cam feed full of juiced up fake nattys, it is nice to see something that I can relate to. Joey D is my hero!
dude you can definitely continue to grow until you are atleast 40-45, it's just gonna be quite slow. But imagine you would gain 0.5kg of muscle a year for the next ten years on top of what you already have. Or imagine you would add 10lbs to your main lifts a year. That's massive
Nothing compares to these videos man. The way he delivers his dialogue in a monotonous and sarcastic (at times) way is beautiful. You’re in sick shape man can’t wait to see the difference in the summer
@@JoeDelaneyy yep, I'm 41 and probably better shape than 99% of people my age...but after this winter bulk I'm ready to take it up a notch! See ya at the end of the rainbow bro 💪 PS I hate seeing myself in the mirror after the bulk but my biceps stretching out shirts is helps haha
Ashwaganda has been a tremendous blessing in my life. I wish I had discovered it years ago. Nothing has worked better to naturally lower my everyday anxiety, and help me sleep (and fuck) better. Truly amazing stuff.
Wow, 40 years of training! That's incredible dedication. I can totally relate to hitting a brick wall sometimes. Recently, I discovered this amazing channel that renewed my vigor and brought back the fire inside me. Check it out if you're looking for some fresh inspiration and a new level of intensity. Keep up the great work, man!
Your honesty really inspires me, man. I'm making my way back onto UA-cam after years of trepidation and your authenticity is a real confidence booster. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Good luck!
You're my inspiration dude. Natural weighlifter and completely honest. I'm 41 and completely natural. Currently starting my shred this month and gonna put 100% effort in and see what i can achieve. I've got 2 young children and a full time job too, so i'm pretty proud that i've got this far and still have passion for training. I've followed you for years and will continue to do so!
This video reminded me of something that ignited my fitness from hobby to lifestyle: "No person has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a person to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which their body is capable." This journey you're on is incredible and everyone deserves the fulfillment this offers. Sure, Joe has a lot of time every day and a lot of natural interest for fitness so he will get fitter than most but we can all be the best we can with the lives we have, to see how far we can push ourselves with the hand we're dealt. Keep up the hard work Joe, love how transparent you always are 🙏
The only fitness youtuber who isn't cringe as fuck and I would actually go for a pint with. Your videos have been a big help for me and also the humour massively underrated. Congrats to your & your Mrs!
Loved the mindset shift on this one. You hit the nail on the head - when you have a great physique and get to the upper limits naturally, it’s very easy to sit back and maintain. I’m in a very similar boat. I started about 16 years ago at 120lbs (54kg) and over the years built up to 185lbs (84kg). That wasn’t sustainable, so I pulled back down to maintain 175 lbs (79kg) and have done that for the last 5+ years.
Watchung your videos keep me focused and motivated . You bring me closer to my goals wigh your knowledge and your plans of action which you advice. Fitness has taught me delayed gratification and appreciating the process . You learn that doing more doesn't mean getting more . The right amount of everything (training, nutrition, sleep and recovery) is the best stategy. I've taken that lesson into other parts of my life, especially school
Congratulations Joe on becoming a father! I'm really happy for you man. I think you will discover a new passion in life: raising a son and watching him grow. I think you will enjoy teaching him how to lift safely and eat healthy from a young age. God bless you man! #Joe Delaney is my hero forever #Respect
Sup Joe started watching you again after awhile but you inspired me years ago, keep the grind going man you’re one of the dopest dudes in the fitness game 🤜🏽
Congratulations on the little one soon-come. It'll change everything you think about goals, and looking forward to seeing how it affects the philosophical aspect of your content... All the best for it, keep up the good work. Peace.
mate....this video was exactly what i needed.Felt this more and more into my mid 30's. its so good to hear someone, especially a fitness youtuber, admit to falling into the same bad habits I do too often. starting right now im making more of an effort. thank you for this
The trancparency in your video is great. Its refreshing for people to be honest. Makes it more relatable. I've gone through a similar process. It's really empowering to get back to it
Big congratulations on the baby hope it all goes well. Loved your content from day 1 and still do. Underrated content creator. Deserve above a mil maybe have a family lifestyle channel pay and editor and do weekly uploads on that if your doing less fitness content. 👏🏽
Exciting! I've taken my bulk a bit too far and have been missing my workouts for a few weeks now. I'm also thinking of getting optimal now, let's do this Joey 💪
From someone who used to form you a tad annoying you've uploaded some fantastic and truthful videos lately. The science back meal/training frequency was gold. Nice one Joey.
2:40 this is the most powerful motivating force. At 27 i realized how little time I had at my peak and started lifting weights for the first time. Went fucking mad over it and added 15 lbs muscle quickly. Now I realize how MUCH time I actually have since I rewrote my habits and my baseline is already sick and I already feel great and confident every day. Been dealing with more mobility to lay a foundation for the next flow.
Great vid. I certainly know that feeling about training and it can definitely come in waves. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Your physic is essentially perfect Imo.
Randomly back watching you Joe(my bad) but have to say, one of the more Entertaining and what seems like down to earth fitness people out there. Love these videos
Yeah man I’m glad you’ve found some motivation to continue making gains again. I’m in a chilled phase when it comes to lifting rn but I can feel I’ll get in the mood to focus on training soon…
As a Joey D viewer who started trying to be optimal 4 months ago, this is exciting stuff. Would be sick to get regular updates on any changes in your process/physique.
Ok. I'm joining you in this challenge. I've been training for some years and even now I'm the fittest and strongest I've ever been, I've never been truly lean. Let's do this!
Joe, you mentioned that you have a baby boy on the way. Once that child enters your life, you will notice a priority shift where you will find much more value in raising your child than anything you can ever do for yourself. This “meta physique” stage you are going through is your last chance to be completely self absorbed in your own little world. You won’t experience another bout of selfishness like this until the day you leave this confusing universe. Enjoy Fatherhood; It’s refreshing to truly love someone more than yourself.
Keeping some level of self-absorption is essential to raising kids though. Past the first few months (a bit more or a bit less depending on the baby) and assuming the reliable presence of a second parent, it’s fairly possible to be a dedicated father/mother while enjoying some purely personal time. One enjoys that time even more. Being fit is part of Joey’s job, I assume. Parents are allowed to work.
I just checked out the podcast with Rob. It's pretty sick to see how far you've come. Sometimes I miss the Ibiza party boy vlogs, but the evolution has truly been impressive. Last year I spent 3 months traveling in Europe and the UK (my first time outside of the USA), and it was the sickest experience of my life. I think in a lot of ways, finding your channel and seeing those original videos spurred me on to eventually do that, so thanks for all the great content over the years.
Congratulation on the upcoming baby. I'm a father of two. There is going to be sacrifices to be made for the family but in the end you'l learn to appreciate the time you have for yourself and working out. I believe in the long run this may even lead for better results and improved motivation. So honestly dont take this as "last opportunity" for anything, you'l have the best time ahead of you ! Trust me.

Nothing compares to these videos man. The way he delivers his dialogue in a monotonous and sarcastic (at times) way is beautiful. You’re in sick shape man can’t wait to see the difference in the summer
