Everything (Else) Wrong with Until Dawn

- Oh, you thought we were done with Until Dawn? Uh uh, son! Until Dawn was such a great game with multiple playthroughs that were well worth it that we had to do another video on it. Plus, I'm sure most of you wouldn't want to watch an over 1 hour GamingSins video. So here's what else we found wrong with Until Dawn. Enjoy!

Having Matt do nothing at the totem pole is the best. His 'I'm not falling for it' tone is great.
I wish that was in my version of the game. They completely skipped that part. I know it's nothing major, but Matt doesn't have enough screen time.
@@theguyfromwalgreens What do you mean, they "skipped that part"? It's not in the game anymore? I wish I could see it... How do you get that scene?
@@katewalters210 It's not in my game. I know a lot of people say it isn't really crucial to the game & in reality it isn't, but Matt hardly has any screen time & it would've been nice to see a bit more of him.
In addition, we all see the bitchy side of Emily in their relationship & it was refreshing to see them actually have fun together & not treating him like a puppet or lap dog.
You only get that extra segment if you were one of the first to buy the game.

Hannah could not find a way out of the mine but Emily, Jessica, and Matt all find their way out in a manner of minutes +1 sin
Liv Pelley but remember Hannah's leg was broken so she couldn't walk even if she somehow did find a way out
Dylann Noelle and Jessica was hurt badly while Hannah has a chance was skipping and escaping the wannabe rakes with a better change so....... +1 sin
Dylann Noelle she was down there for 33 days though
She probs had broken limbs as well js
plus the surface elevator was literally right next to where hannah fell
8:00 wow, Chris got drunk with Josh last year.
Chris is a nice guy
Chris didn't prank Hannah
Hannah still want to kill Chris
Don't be like Hannah
Za Kid bruh so true
Za Kid
yep, i hate Hannah
@@BonBon-od9zm Me too. Literally everyone who fell into the mine could get out with NO problems (despite there being Wendigos on their asses), but Hannah is trapped down there with nothing hunting her (Beth's grave being only a short walk away from the elevator) and couldn't find a way out?
な6IXLXRD
:)
@@6ixlxrd Yeah it's not like her leg was broken so she couldn't escape. Not at ALL. All the writers fault. h u g e oversight.
Still feel bad for Josh. Poor schizophrenic depressive eastward never had the right help from Dr.Hill, one of his many therapists.
Idk why autocorrect kicked in to say "eastward"
If you find Josh's phone you'll see that dr. Hill had been texting him. He kept telling him not to proceed with this plan for revenge and asked him to make an appointment. But Josh didn't listen to him. So it's not dr. Hill's fault.
+Kostas Edison Josh only got medication for depression while his main issue was shizophrenia, due to the auditory and visual hallucinations. So no, he did not get the help he needed from dr. Hill.
+TheGamingNerd I'm not sure but I think somewhere in the game it said he had shizophrenia
+TheGamingNerd It could be either, we'll (probably) never know.
Just saying Josh purposely made it so that Ashley couldn't get killed by his scheme, he never wanted to hurt anyone just scare the shit out of them and get revenge and he had some problems that weren't taken care of properly.
Me Me Big Boy yup. You can videos of it on UA-cam if you search until dawn saw Ashley

It's a sin that mike had to look for a match but then later on pull a lighter out of hi pocket
Ikr
thumbs up to you because I didn't notice that
If he tried to light the wood with his lighter he would have burned his hand. Especially when we consider the physics used in the game where he threw a match in there and it immeditaely was set ablaze.
i mean theres paper all around that house he could of set that on fire lol
You are not seriously suggesting he burn the Kama Sutra book! Horrors!
Another sin: the flamethrower guy explains to Chris that wendigo's are cruel: they keep their 'victims' alive, they eat them alive and they cut every single piece of skin/meat of them while they live. But if you fuck up in the game, they will kill every single character.
Yea he mentioned that in the previous one :)
Khali Chapman Oh thanks! I watched this one a lot, but never got to the other one :)
Stiasteny Hehe, all good.. I think this one was more for like the alternate deaths and stuff because the original was the main storyline if you manage to keep everyone alive.
He is probably talking about the miner wendigos, which don't kill instantly, like how they just beat the shit out of Mike instead of just killing him. Also, Hannah is the only one that kills instantly. and she was possessed by the makapichu making her by far the strongest wendigo.
Ultr Gaming That could be right as well indeed.
"Dat AAAAASSS !" Crack me up everytime x)
Mike is the *ONLY* character with a heroic death in this game
Hannah and Beth: Fell to death
Jessica: Fell to death (again)/Jaw ripped
Matt: Fell to death (*again*)/Meat hook
Emily: Eyes gouged out/Satisfyingly shot in the face
Chris/Ashley: Head ripped off
Josh: Head crushed
Sam: stabbed
Mike: sacrificing himself to save others by distracting wendigoes and burning down with the lodge.
well damn
Matt can also get his face pounded
Hannah survived the fall some fucking how
Her back didn't slam onto a sharp ass rock like her sister, okay? Her leg broke
+finn Doosh she does?
In my opinion, the best ending to this game is where everyone lives (all animals included) except Josh, who gets his head popped. Not because I dislike him like GCN, but because being dead is better than being a windigo.
I agree 100%. I actually like Josh, he's my favorite character, so I don't like seeing him die, but it's better than becoming a cannibalistic monster. He doesn't deserve either fate, in my opinion, but death seems like the lesser of two evils.
+Mimi Madrox What ? Being a wendigo is sooooooooooooo cool ! I think on the contrary that's the best end he could have.
I don't see the reason why people turn into Wendigos after resorting to cannibalism. What is it about eating human flesh that changes you into 6 foot tall, hairless anorexic monster that's OP against everything except fire?
Kingdom080500 it's a curse... Just roll with it
+Kingdom080500 the curse is actually a form of possession. its why killing them is a 'bad idea' because it just releases the wendigo spirit leaving them to possess another cannibal. the idea is the badass wendigo that cornered the two girls on the cliff at the start of the game and was killed by flame thrower guy (if you find all totems it tells the story) later possesses The girl who survived the fall. (it doesnt say this but its implied if you bother to listen to the lore) which is why she is sooo much more badass than the other Wendigo.
THANK YOU! Finally someone else notices how weird it is that Josh was targeting Chris as his primary "prank" victim! Like Josh reveals himself before he even tries to do anything to anyone but Chris Ashley and Sam, so he didn't even plan on screwing with the others! He's like "my best friend who had absolutely nothing to do with my sisters' death? Imma fuck him up the worst. The girl who was against the prank who's been my primary confidant? Get her naked and chase her around in a scary mask. The girl with the least active role in my sister's deaths? Eh, knock her out and tie her up twice. The guy who performed the prank, the bitches who planned it and the guy who recorded my sister undressing? Meh, they can do whatever"
+*king of games and anime* That was my exact issue, why are you punishing people who had exactly fuck all to do with your sisters deaths. Why not punish the others because they came up with the whole idea, if not for they're horrible personalities. He plays the prank on the only semi-likable characters.
Somehow it even appears that he was more focused in shipping chris and ashley(and teasing sam), them doing anything else. I mean, he barely bordered to prepare something for Jess and Mike(main culprits), but focused in Sam(crush reasons?) and Chris(both the ones closer to him and less related to the prank) and Ashley(well... she watched the prank... +1 sin).
The bit where Jess gets taken by a wendigo and Mike chases after happens fairly early on so it's possible that Josh had something planned for them at the cabin he sent them to but it just didn't happen because it was supposed to take place later on in the night at which point the bit with the wendigo had already happened and they had left the cabin. As for Matt and Emily they're the ones who find the cable car station trashed (which was probably done by Josh) and then get attacked by a wendigo at the radio tower and end up in the mines, Josh probably planned something for them as well but it didn't happen because the wendigo got involved. There was nothing in the game that indicated Josh would have known about the wendigo before that night and planned around them possibly getting involved.
See i always thought Josh blamed Chris for letting them both get pass out drunk and blamed Sam for not protecting her best friend Hannah. he probably also thought in his little twisted head that once he finished with Sam Ash and Chris that they would help him get revenge on everyone else. that's probably why he let Mike and Jess go to a cabin that was very far away to go have sex, he figured they would stay out there as long as possible
*+Amy Phillips* why Matt? he wasn't there a year ago, plus I think the only "splitting from the group" cliché was Mike and Emily. as GCN stated the main culprit was sent off and the rest including the innocents Chris and Sam were chief targets
Regarding a few sins:
- Hannah is the only Wendigo in the mountains after her and Beth's disapperance. Wendigo's only hunt by night and The Stranger was actively hunting and baiting her out. There is little chance that Josh would ever encounter her whatsoever while setting the pranks.
- The Stranger basically had all Wendigos locked up or killed by the time Hannah and Beth meet their demise. We don't know exactly how much time it took him to do so, but we do learn that he warned the Washingtons that the mountain was cursed. Yet, he treated the battle as his own, so... He simply carried on with it. The police never encountered Wendigos because there were no Wendigos to be encountered, since they were all subdued... And, mostly, its pretty much a horror trope: "Police are Useless", which this game invokes more than once.
- The bag in the basement that belongs to The Stranger is actually given to Emily by him. The bag contains flares and other stuff about Wendigos (I think its his diary and a map). He wanted Emily to live, so he gave her his stuff, being left only with his Flamethrower to try and stop some of the Wendigo from chasing her.
- The explosions torn apart the Asylum, causing debris to fall, not Wendigos.
- The jacket Jessica finds is from the mining crew. She also finds a pair of mining boots. The jacket Mike finds is also from one of the people in the mines. It must have been rescued by The Stranger, since I don't think he went shopping too often.
- Sam never sees Ashley's body, she only assumes she was left behind.
Other than that, fun video. :)
i know it took 6 years for someone to thank you about all this,, so thank you so much about all this, really
and i hope for a very great life my dude
@@MarvoldX yeah but this game is timeless
i think the flame thrower guy put explosives everywhere in case he was in trouble
what do you mean put explosives everywhere? do you mean the lodge explosion? because that was caused by a gas leak
+Bob Gaming & More i think he means the barrels
They were filled with flammable liquid. Presumably it was fuel for his flamethrower.
TriMis I'm a she but thank you
that profile picture is lovely
In reference to the "Why is Chris apologizing?" question, its believed that Chris was involved by purposefully getting Josh drunk to prevent him from interfering with the prank.
In an earlier pre-release version Chris WAS involved with the prank and could be seen next to Ashley under the bed in the video. The dialogue was just never updated to reflect this change. Same thing with Mike and Sam reacting to "lots of bodies" even if there's only one in there.
@@kyuubinaruto17 It's also possible that Chris felt guilty by inaction (i.e. not being there to save Hannah)
I wanted to save josh, and not just because of the name. He obviously was unhinged as shown in the game. But he was not all there even before his sisters died. As Ashley when you find Hannah's diary you can flip backwards an extra page to find out that josh was in therapy long before Hannah died. In the end he was a mental patient that just couldn't handle his sisters' death. I felt bad for him
If Sam escapes from Josh she wanders through the basement and comes across Josh's medical records with all of the information about his treatment as far back as ten years ago, when he was a little kid. And she also finds his cell phone, with text messages from the real Doctor Hill asking him to get in touch with him.
also there was matpat's theory about being treated the wrong treatments. It has research put into it so it might be true.Or just huge developer oversight.
My only question is this, why would he put the one person who had nothing to do with the prank through the most terror. Why didn't he put Mike, Emily, Jessica, or anyone else who more or less caused the death of his sisters? Just feels kinda odd.
@@quanahriddle3065 If you're still wondering, I think it's that he mentions exactly why earlier on - it was to get Chris and Ashley to declare their love for each other. He's just delusional enough that he doesn't quite realize that his actions aren't really helping. It's rather unfortunate though, since it's not really his fault. He's got some serious schizophrenia going on. Reality and fiction aren't very clearly defined as separate for him, and so he may have seen it work in a work of fiction and decided to imitate it.
I don't know, but I feel, that Josh shouldn't drink alcohol. This could make things worse in case of his mental illness.
I hope there is a sequel and I hope there's hope for Josh. He didn't deserve what happened to him. He was sick, off his meds, his friends had a hand in his sister's death and his other sister becoming a wendigo, his parents aren't (implied to be) very good parents, his psychiatrist is bad at his job, and even if he was taking his meds they aren't the right meds.
Poor guy got ripped off at the end
@@suki_4444 Sequel and Prequel are different things. You didn't use correct English there.
@@suki_4444 Okay then, I will resume with my terrible life as a non-human being without a functioning brain. (It makes since because I don't have a functioning brain)
his psichaiatrist obviously did a good job and did his best. Josh took the right meds, but one of the sideeffects of antidepressants is halucionations. This can also be brought on by stopping taking your meds. Also, there are text messages between josh and dr hill which shows that he obviously cares for him and wants the best.
Fun fact about Flamethrower Guy: He's actually one of the game's writers, and looks almost exactly like that. They didn't copy The Last of Us, they just happened to have a guy who looks and sounds like that on hand and went with it rather than hire another actor. Larry Fessenden, for anyone who wanted to look it up.
Also amusing is the fact Fessenden wrote and directed a movie in 2001 named...
Wendigo.

I thought of some other sins. Sin 363). Sam asks "What was that, are you okay?" when the animal scares Chris shitless. After saying that it's a tiger or some shit, she says "It's just a baby wolverine." Okay Sam, if you knew it was a wolverine, why did you ask what it was? Hmm? Sin 364). If you get Matt killed and have him fall off the cliff during the deer attack, a wendigo drags his body away and Emily watches it happen. Later, Emily is in the mines, finds his fucking shoe, and says "oh gee, how'd that get down here?" like you didn't just fucking WATCH him get dragged into the mines, you idiot. Aaaand sin 365). EVEN though we find Matt's boot, later on when we see his body dangling along with Flamethrower Dude, he's got both shoes on. Sin.
Actually matt's body is always dangling upside down so you can really see his feet..just his arms and a bit of his body.

Chilly Spinner If you choose to save Ashley and never point the gun at her, she let's you in.
Louie Satterwhite I pointed the gun at her when she asked me to but shot Chris. She let me in.
@@louiesatterwhite3885 I know your comment's old asf, but she legit started crying and begging Chris to let her save him "just this once"; that she wanted saving Chris to be the last thing she did with her life, then continued to plead and ramble about how Chris should shoot her instead. She WANTED me to do it. BEGGED me to do it (hell, if I was in her situation, I'd want my love interest to shoot me instead of themselves too). I didn't care who died either way at that point, but I figured she had a point. Why not let her save Chris this first and final time? Sounded like a poetic end. But then she fucking snaps and watches Chris be eaten alive (begging for help) because I decided to give her what she wanted?
It was in that moment that I realized Ashley's an even bigger bitch than Emily. She didn't hesitate to kill anyone who posed a threat; I even almost blew Emily's head off because of her.
It can also happen if you shoot the squirrel
@@6ixlxrd I won't get that ending, but yeah. I felt like Ash was really cute at first, but throughout the game she is actually acting kind of selfish (because she's scared. I get that, but still) and that scene.. Woah. That was cold.
Matt didn't lose the bags while he was getting to the cabin. I presume he just chucked them off the cliff or into the woods somewhere.

+Jake Lapp I looked at it again and I thought I saw the awkward space where Josh has no neck.
The old guy gave Emily his bag when he gave her the flares. That is why she has the bag even though he was never down in the basement.
I thought the same thing when he said that. Maybe his choices led him somewhere else.
LordTails66 I would agree with you, but we do see a second long shot of the flamethrower guy (who was actually made to be in the likeness of the main producer of this game) dropping a large GREEN bag on the living room floor. That bag of flare is white. Also, whatever happened to the rest of those anyway? Besides, that white bag was not big enough to hold the book that Emily was seen with and Ashley reads.

Another thing never said about monsters and killers in most movies is that while their 1st favorite thing to do is killing, the second is being a cock blocker whenever their victims are trying to get freaky. They all seem to have some sort if innate ability to know when its happening and have an immediate desire to interrupt it.
I always found that funny.
Surprised you didn't sin Josh for saying Dumb Dumb which is funny because thats kinda a reference to the movie he was actually in. Night at the muesem lol

+The M7 Omega well josh was crazy during that scene so he wouldn't know better.
+barbaro267 rami malek plays Josh and the Easter island head in night in the museum. They both say dumb dumb.
EDIT: Malek played the long not the Easter egg guy
Hockeyvampire Actually, he plays the pharaoh Ahkmenrah. But I HIGHLY DOUBT the line "Ashley's a dumb-dumb" is a reference to Night At The Museum.
I actually did want to save Josh...
I dont like how this guy talks about Josh. Sure, he is creepy and did something horrible, but we know he is clearly mentally ill. Like I wanted to save him because I wanted to see him have a future and get well eventually. He lost his sisters and then his humanity... seems inmensely unfair
He also wasn't given the right medication. He was treated for depression, but not for his Schizophrenia.
Another example of media villainizing mental illness
I love this game to death, but....
1. If this guy was fighting wendigos for years, why the fuck did he die so easily?
2. Matt's death is totally WTF if you try to save his girlfriend when she's hanging on in the shaft
3. Ashley is super traumatized by the night, which is totally understandable for her brattish behavior (so I can excuse that)
4. Yeah, if the wendigos have been around that long, how the fuck has no one mentioned them to the media or hell, seen them ???
Veronica Stetler Finally someone understands this about Ashley. Thank you.
1) cliché
2) to show you bitches aren't worth yo time
4) all live in mines except the makkapitew
To be fair, the flamethrower guy died because of Chris, because he wanted to protect him.
Chances are he hardly move around at night by himself, probably sleeps somewhere safe, hence completly removing that danger.
This time around he noticed the kids coming back, and tries to keep them safe (although by very inconvential means, acting in the shadow, lurking etc, which is a bad idé on terrified people), only to later knock on the door (which he could've done way earlier).
But he clearly states that trying to save Josh is foolish from the get go, which should imply that he himself rarely goes alone at night (only when the kids were around, and when he hunted the biggest one (can't remember the name)).
He also states that it's very bad that they're out in the open when the Wendigo is still around, and detects them, which should also imply that he either avoids activities during the night, or simply does them in controlled areas, indoors where he can't get flanked, and where there's better hiding spots.
And finally, it's a event where you have to hold the controller stil (which ofcourse is impossible).
Which means the guy probably could've stood still, and thanks to experience and expertise could've survived, but Chris stepping on the branch made a sound, and instead of staying still and saving himself, he jumps into action trying to save Chris.
So that's three wrongs, and put the guy in a situation he probably never been in, and If he had previous, he probably did not have to protect someone that failed to stand still.
So he died cause he had to die, but he died because the kids made stupid choices, and he was trying to protect them.
Judging by things, setting traps and working in the shadows was his specialty, since he clearly did not wanna face the Wendigos out in the open, which he ended up doing, with inexperienced people.
Finally someone noticed it thx
actually chris has disturbed him twice when he moved when he was not supposed to and when he almost ran into the flame
and don't forget that the guy has always worked alone
12:04 Josh dies no matter what because Josh set up the machine to kill 'him.'
further proving illusion of choice

Didnt escape the mines in 33 days

Hannah's leg was broken(it says so in her journal) So she couldn't go far.
Kelsey Payne yea but 33 days has to be enough
And didnt she see the flamethrowerguy?
+Bloon Craft I can't explain that...He did add a sin for the flamethrower guy not going down to the mines though.
Bruh her head was injured plus she probably broke a lot of bones. No immediate medical help was available either.
Emily wasn't badly injured. Hannah fell off a fucking cliff. Emily also may have been a bit smarter or something because it does take skill to survive on your own. skills that Hannah didn't have or couldn't use because she was traumatised and critically injured.
14:12
You were asking, why is Josh doing this to him, because earlier when is Josh talking to Sam, Sam says: ,,Man, I just wish Chris would go for it. He is so paralyzed thinking she´s going to shoot him down."
JOSH : ,,It is not gonna happen."
SAM: ,,Which thing?"
JOSH: ,,Well neither if he doesn´t go for it. Which, knowing Chris, he won´t unless someone´s holding a GUN to his head."
He also says that nothing brings people closer together that a traumatizing experience
Josh had no idea Sam would say anything stating Chris being "paralyzed" (ironically (?) strapped to a chair) OR anyone shooting anyone down. Convenient plot dialogue.
Not so subtle foreshadowing +1 sin
Wing manning... kinda
Well this game could have easily gotten a sequel just by saving only Sam. I mean she's acts psychotic even when you save everyone.

+chairty kissinger I guess it all depends on the way you fall. Emily may have fallen in ways that the body could withstand.
I think It has to do that Chris is in a state of shock.
Em clearly took a greater beating to her body, but i think seeing the Wendigo left Chris in a weak state of mind, rather than physical pain, If i remember correctly.
No one at that point has seen a Wendigo and survived, let alone seen one out in the open, and slicing another persons head of in a second, like it's nothing.
It seems Chris wants to collect his thought, aswell as rest his legs.
Emily is more badass then Chris, plain and simple.

but it was mostly mike jessica and emilys idea. mike didnt even try to prevent it, jessica said hannah deserved it, and emily said mike was her man. u could say yea but matt was recording. well maybe they planned out their hiding spots and since matt was in the best spot, they thought he would have the best angle. and maybe ashley just wanted to see hannah's reaction to the prank.
Romance girl .
Hail Hydra I FUCKING KNEW I SAW HIM BEFORE
SAME! I had the same thought so many times!
+Chloe Nicholson the guy who plays mike is on marvels agents of shield xD and he was a secret hydra agent
Yeah he play agent ward, a shield agent gone rogue and became a hydra agent
+Iron Gamer Josh is the Pharaoh dude from night at the museum, maybe you recognize him too
Ângelo Vargas Hail man form Brookline
The only reason why I hate this game. There was the bug when the towel wouldn't drop.
XDDDDD
Ah! You Pervert!
MrClony no I'am not a pervert I discovered this accidentally because although she is without the towel the camera doesn't allow you look but there is a mirror behind you (but I don't remember that) you will turn around and you could see. Observation: If you think that I'am pervert It because you do not know my colleagues who rape and make porn movies without the grils knowing, showing It to everybody and do sexual harassment( what I was one of that didn't do it ).
KirosR6 I know that and to be honest this makes no difference to me because I know that my colleagues are crazy and listen shit f**k ( but some teachers humiliate them by exposing their intimacies to the whole class )
KirosR6 ok... you could leave this conversation if you want because it is not your obligation continue here.... but only for your information it was good to talk with you
Why is it that if something isn't immediately explained that it is automatically a sin? A lot of those sins were meant to be inferred by the gamer.
4:35 They were walking under an archway and Mike was on top of it. Not that complicated.
Ikr like all the sin videos said he popped out of nowhere. He literally jumped down from where he was hanging.
IKR!?
Off screen teleportering bull shi$
+Lord Hawkeye Uh no he was not, and no he did not. You can literally see the angle he jumped from, which was over the ral off to the side not the arch, which means EVERYONE would have seen him. So yes, he literally popped out of thin air.
+Lord Hawkeye How did he jump off the top without using acrobatic skill and grace to instantly perform another jump against gravity and physics? Mike should be able to take down the Wendigos easy with that power.
You forgot the massacre death scene. You know, the one where you hit the light switch before everyone is out.
***** Hehe. I did that on my first playthrough :P
"Ups, oh well"
That's not a sin because it can be avoided. Frustration caused by bad decisions don't count
7:26 And that is why Matt is my favorite character in this game.
here's one you missed: how did the big wendigo (Hannah) sneak up on them in the lodge in the final scene. it was chasing Sam into the lodge but she locked it out, and it wasn't chasing the others through the basement either
+strahinjagov The magic teleportation ring everyone seems to wear in this game
For once, you guys got one fact wrong. The gun Mike had that was pointing at Josh wasn't the one Chris had at the lodge, but one Mike found in the mines/sanatorium.
Also, Emily had the old guy's bag because he gave it to her in the mines. You guys forget things xD
20:07 Actually I just realized that the jackets belong to the miners that were trapped and became Wendigos. And there’s multiple miners so there’s a couple jackets around like those ones.
let's start with a little making out first?
me: I FRICKING KNEW IIIIIIIT
probably the number 1 thing that bothers me with this game is the lack of fucks given twords Beth. Josh seems more shaken up by the loss of Hannah, some of the characters have only a few lines of remorse for her directly (even when finding her fricken head and grave) and the ghost even though it could be said to be Beth looks more like Hannah
What I always thought was weird was that Chris had to choose whether Ashely lived or died and I had just thought that Josh was a twisted, horrible, messed up person. But after playing the game a few times, I noticed that Josh never intended to kill Ashley and he never intended to kill Chris. Josh put them in traumatic situations together so they would confess how they feel. And if you choose Ashley right away in the saw blade sequence, Josh then taunts Chris on being a wimp whose too afraid to make a move on Ashely. Josh never really meant any serious harm to anyone and since Chris is Josh's best friend, he put him in a position where both Chris and Ashley would get closer, encouraging Chris to make a move.
also a sin for no sequel
SIN REDUCTION : They are making a sequel for PSVR, Until Dawn, Rush of Blood.
The prequel was PURE ASS
Maybe they ARE making a sequel. They are probably just taking their time in doing it?
There IS Man of Medan, idk if it can be classed as a sequel - being a part of the "Dark Pictures Anthology"
7:51 my favourite part.
Katany cat puff the spinning doridos was the funniest
GCN, I love you guys and your videos. I personally think it's badass that you've used the Cinemasins format but for video games. As a gamer, I love this!
I've also watched the Until Dawn sins videos about 5 times each. They're just hilarious and everything I was thinking while getting the platinum.
PLEASE do more. PLEASE PLEASE :)
Romance girl.
Chris isn't in the friend zone it says he likes Ashley and it says she likes him
+Caleb Williams They are both in the friendzone
Vizy Sto I mean not really if I like a girl and she likes me but were are just to pussy to say so im not in the friend zone I would be in the friend zone if I liked a girl and she didn't like me and was like yeah your my friend
+Caleb Williams They are in the friendzone because they haven't confessed to one another.
+Kingdom080500 but they do later in the story and even kiss
same situation here except
Anyone else shoot Emily? Not because they fell for the whole zombie/ windego thing, but because you couldn't stand her? ✋
I did. over and over again
Great comment..but even greater name!
Emily was my favorite, same with Jessica. Wanted to shoot Mike tho~
Nope. I don't want any of the characters to get killed. But, I got Chris killed. Whoopsie.
Jessica It ain't worth guaranteeing a murder charge on Mike if he survives lol.
I think originally, the family were supposed to know about the Wendigo's because when Hannah and Beth are on the edge of the cliff, they don't seem... surprised to see a Wendigo chasing them.
They know immediately that what is after them is bad, and that the creature is going to horrifically maul them, and when they are backing up they have more of a "oh god no please not this" reaction as a opposed to a "Holy shit, what the fuck is that?!" reaction. We do learn in a flashback that they WERE running from and saw a Wendigo. So, with only that evidence I think that originally the family were aware of the Wendigo threat, but afterwards it was changed because Hannah running into the snow is even more dumb.
they definately didn't know about wendigos because hannah wouldn't just ran into the woods to do something stupid as the quiz she did in her bedroom said because that would be just too dangerous
also they are way too much distrustful of flamethrower guy when he tried to help them
yeah Emily you mad *clicks tongue* or nah
+Akeem Dukes feeling stupid *clicks tongue* or nah
+Akeem Dukes Yes I am XD
emilythemage ummmm who arw you
+Akeem Dukes your mom emilythemage is your mom
+Akeem Dukes a girl on youtube.... although its ironic that her name is emily
"Bodies a lot of them"
Me: Yeah a whole one of them that's alot
When Emily is your favorite character but like 99.99% of the fandom hates her.
Hey GCN when are you going to do metroid other M sins video I 've been waiting for one come on dude destroyed that abomination already.
+Delvan Beavers Cause we know how Nintendo likes to be a bitch about their properties. It'll probably get a copyright strike and we don't need that drama.
GCN do everything wrong with Splatoon bro!
+GCN yea! splatoon! maybe a short vid about nintendo's new IP. since you guys were talking about nintendo.
GCN Nintendo, the Jews of the gaming world.
GCN splatoon YUS
Thank you for mentioning how implausible it would be for Josh to spend months rigging the lodge with traps and pranks despite the presence of the windigo. It could be beliveable if there was only one windigo or if the windigo hibernated for long periods of time. Nope. There were dozens of windigos, several of them out in the woods. The developers wanted to have so many troupes and cliches in the game, it completely overlooked that narrative flaw. The same goes for the damaged gate. Josh (or his family) would have had that fixed. What would be the point of his elaborate scheme, if the guests couldn't make it to the lodge? That was a tutorial moment for the sake of a tutorial.
Also, thank you for correcting yourself about the kids being in high school instead of college.
+Lance Snead plus its understandable why josh went crazy, i mean his 'friends' pulled an asshole prank on his sisters that killed them and no one has really shown remorse.
+Lance Snead Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure up until the point where Mike blows up the sanatorium and (somehow) frees a bunch of windigos, Hannah is the only windigo who is still free on the mountain. Even so, it's still pretty hard to believe that he wouldn't run into her/the flamethrower guy at some point.
+Maxwell Hardcastle You are correct. The horde of windigo escaped later in the game. However, the flamethrower man has been hunting them for a long time. I think he's been at it for decades. He was certainly there a year ago, when he tried to save the sisters of Josh. Unless the hunter goes out every single night for the past Lord knows how long, it would imply that there are other windigo in the woods. How else would he have captured so many creatures to escape in the first place?
The windigo only come out during the night. Josh had to have worked on his lodge during the evenings a few times. He certainly would have slept there. The location is too remote to travel back and forth everyday. Josh would have encountered a windigo. If not Josh, certainly the visitor and workers in the neighboring lodges, the tower, cable car, tour bus, etc.
It is also very screwed up that the man didn't help/alert the authorities about the location of the sisters. It was a very high profile case. Sure, the man was a loner and paranoid. He still could have called in an anonymous tip. More narrative overlooks by the developers for the sake of narrative cliches. Oh well.
Actually, the kids aren't in high school. One collectible in the game is a picture of Sam, Hannah, Mike, and Emily and, written on the back, it says that they're "ready for senior prom" with the date being in 2013 when the game takes place in 2015. And an official app states that Josh dropped out of college after his sisters disappeared. The app lists his age as 20, the oldest of the group. Sam, Mike, Emily, and Chris are 19; Ashley, Matt, and Jess are the youngest members at 18.
+Mimi Madrox Thank you. I guess that shows more of the developers' narrative inconsistency, if players are confused about something as simple as the character's academic profile. :-D
4:40 Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reference?
Well The Native Americans That live there Were Call The Cree So Yes
Brett Dalton, who voiced Michael, is Grant Ward.
+WickedMasterPete Yeah, I had a feeling it was that, but thanks for confirming it anyway
that'sthejoke.jpg
+Adrian ha
Missed two sins:
1. Emily at lodge when she asks Matt about her bag. "Girls and their bags"
2. Earlier in the game Chris makes mention that cellphones don't work because of no cell towers. So how is he tweeting in the basement with Ashley.
Still loved the vid but wanted to mention these.😄
he isnt tweeting...idk what hes doing but hes certainly not tweeting
You know a game has sins when you need A SECOND VIDEO
I actually like that josh had next to no choices in this game. It shows how uncontrollable schizophrenia is.
Also you forgot a few more sins, when Mike is in the cabin with Jessica they hear a noise and if Mike checks it out, it is Jessica's phone thrown through the window, and they act like it's nothing, another sin is that you have to get a match to turn on the fire where we can clearly see that mike later on turns on the lantern with a lighter, I mean, why did he use a match when he had a lighter in the first place?
I hope we do get a sequel. But with different characters and location if possible.
Nah this game was good because of the characters and the story. I wouldnt really want a sequel
Once been confirmed
+stryzee do you even grammar?
+ϟPatiayak One of the producers said that they've been already talking about a sequel and that it'd have to be a new cast and setting since... people have died in Until Dawn. I really hope they do end up making a sequel too (also makes me wonder what UD2 could be about, like a summer camp with lake monsters... or a boarding school with an underground satanic cult.) But they're working on something else atm.
If there is a sequel I hope they stick to the Native American mythical monsters/spirits
Well to be fair, the ''explosive barrels'' are labeled as flammable liquid, which makes sense to be in the Sanitarium considering its where flamethrower man was sort of using as his base or wendigo trap, so it could have been his fuel for his flamethrower. Where did he get it? Well supposedly he's been fighting wendigos for a while, so has his grandfather, so he could have bought it as long term fuel, or, a little more far-fetched, found it in the mine where I supposed flammable liquid could've been of use.
The gun Mike pointed at Josh wasn't the one that was full of blanks. It was the one he got from the Sanitorium (or wherever) prior.
that was the normal gun mean with blanks. From the sanatorioum was the revolver that he uses with the real threat like the first meeting with flamethrower guy and to kill emily
Sin 323 : She’s getting trapped she’s getting trapped! She is getting trapped in the wall!
xDDDDDDDDDDDD
The Kanye West 2020 joke is funnier now that he actually went for it
you missed the door iced up but window not iced up
The Hail Hydra jokes was just gold.
"Also, Hail Hydra"
That took me a moment. I then remembered the actor is also Grant Ward in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
I think Mike and Sam kind of equally share the hero spot. I mean, he even picks up a canine companion. That basically confirms it.
and he's the only one to sacrifise himself in order to save someone else
Anybody else getting a mental image of the gamingsins guy at 9:21 looking through binoculars and screaming it so loud that everything on the mountain hears him even the windigos
Lmao xD
You gave a sin for flamethrower guy's bag being in the cellar, while Emily brang it there cause he gave her the bag with the flares.
TopKek Kek brang lmao
Sorry for being a grammar nazi but i lost it.
It's brought.
They killed off the Wolf? SERIOUSLY? First the squirrel, then the bird then the wolf....what is up with these animal-hating game creators!? Bullshit!
What about the deer, or 'Bacon' ;^; poor, poor Bacon.
+Lynnsey Hale Good point, but the deer and the pig were kinda dead anyway. They didn't have to kill off the wolf. This isn't Game of Thrones, dammit! :'(
At least the wolverine lived. :)
Sofie, As I read that, I was like... *squint eyes* they all lived if you DONT hate animals... totally laughed at your comment, glad you are decent in humanity
Not to mention two deer as well
I DIED AT 13:48
I think none of the cops never came into concact with any of the wendigos is because they were investigating during the day.
I know that's a lame excuse but it can be the only explanation.
"hail hydra" lmao
Why did he put that in the video?
Christian leontsinis watch agents of shield season 1
Do you thought roasting it once wasn't enough eh?
+Flaming Predator love your comment but the english was not so great but still awesome comment
+Evyatar Arbell HOW WAS HIS English bad
+Flaming Predator when enough is never enough
+meep moop 2 it should be "think" instead of thought
yeah something like a extra roast
Oh yeah I almost forgot this video was made almost 5 years ago. Thank god the mid-vid mlg parody was there.
Another sin: Mike apparently has a lighter. Why did he need a match?
Ever since I saw Mike I wondered if that was the same guy from Agents of Shield, and when I found out he was all I could think of was "traitor!"
Okay but yall have to be honest, Matt was so goddamn underrated.
when he said hail hydra i turned off my computer because i get the reference
Sam kicks open ventilation shafts better than batman. lol!
14:15 - IIRC, he is trying to help get Chris and Ashley together by giving them shared trauma. Chris "saves" Ashley and she falls for him.
do heavy rain! make David Cage cry.
YES HEAVY RAIN!
I found sin for GCN:
GCN sins the same thing twice (mike jumpscare)
Right, but the first one was for the jumpscare itself. The second was for Mike appearing out of thin air for the jumpscare.
14:25 josh thought that they needed some sort of traumatic event to bond over
Gcn said "hail hydra" little did he know
