So,
You have been hearing so much about CNC Machines and the Laser engraving and cutting world and want to get into the action!
But you have no idea yet what makes a CNC router any good, and what doesn't.
Luckily for you I have everything covered, In this video you will know all the basics you need and will be able to quickly make a decision about which Router machine is going to be best suited for you needs.
whether its Low or higher end , after watching the video you will know which will be best for you.
To cut things short though, (pun intended)
You need to look at the following specs on the machines to determine if they are good enough.
Spindle rpm/watts | Stepper motor Nema number | Material machine is made of | Collet types used | Machine Size | Machine price.
Starting out may be quite difficult and confusing.
But once you pass the beginning learning curve stage , it actually becomes even easier than you would expect. that's Awesome!
You also need to take into account software compatibility and customer service, and if there are enough users online who can help you out if you get stuck during your Journey.
You're getting excited, aren't you?
What's amazing about the 5 Options I have today, is that they have all of these features, and more.
To top it up, some of the engraving options provided are cheap, making it a great way to test if you are in to CNC machines or not.
You won't have to lose a few months salary just to find out.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
Good luck with your life and have a nice day!
Not planning on buying one soon, but you made the best video explaining cnc's and recommending some with good reasoning. Very well done.
This is exactly the review and information that I was looking for. Thanks!
Wow! This video is perfect, so detailed! I do now have a better understanding of what machine to pick. Thank you!
Great video. I learned more in 15 minutes than all morning looking at everything else. Thank you, Sir!
It will be great if you make a video explaining more in dept every part of the machine and of course the possible upgrades you can make to this kind of machine.
You helped me so much thank you for taking the time to do this!
Hey Luigi, do you have an opinion on the XL version of your favorite recommendation? Are there any drawbacks?
Great video, I wish more review videos were as insightful and in depth as these with awesome metaphors to explain how they work.
Great Video man!
Thanks a lot, everything feels clear now.
dude, you were made to do these videos, pure excellence
@8:19 Servo motors are completely different than Stepper motors. You would need different electronics to run them.
Bits are called "endmills", "V-bits", "engraving bits" "ball nose endmills", etc. "Drill bits" are for drilling; as in a drill press or hand drill; they are not for use in a CNC.
This should be pinned.
This was a phenomenal video and really detailed thank you so very much 🙏🏽 💖
Great video!!
I've just bought a v1 Proverxl 4030 which I use with Carveco Maker and UGS. I can confirm that it is a tank destroyer🙂.
4 minutes 40 seconds in and I'm already subscribed!
Thank you for the video, it helped a lot.
Best wishes to all decent people from Prague, Czech republic! ✌️😎
First off, you didn't bore me to teary sleep. Good info. I have a genmitsu 3018 . My learning curve for today's tech is slow, and I believe you do me fine while not losing the more adept watcher.
Just found your video. Great comparisons. Was looking into MPCNC but after seeing this i might want to just buy one.
Just subscribed too so i can see more of your videos .
Thanks for sharing
Common sense no loud music and you treat everyone with respect kudos
Thank you! If I had seen this video last week I wouldn't be waiting how ever long for the Vevor S4040 to get back to amzon. I will be getting the Genmitsu for sure. I will be looking at your videos for help from now own.
🥲 Thank you! Outstanding descriptions 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I stopped at 1:30 second just to say I love your visuals and theatrics!!
This is great!! What would be really useful is to also describe the other things you need to go with the CNC (which bits, what ventilation/ enclosure, laser, other attachments, etc) - I’m new, I want a full kit, and I’m happy to use your affiliate links. I suspect many would too.
Hey Petermarin,
Thanks for your feedback.
Hopefully in the future I will be making videos related to cnc Add ons.
:)
N00❤😅
Excellent video. 😊
Thanks very much - a very well put together primer on CNCs
Great great great !
First of all thanks for the great content! Could you recommend where to source s4s or s3s wood panels suitable for cnc?
Thank you!
Hey everyone :),
Hope the video helped you out.
If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them👍
You're Awesome!
Great video, thank you Luigis. Are any of these machines running closed loop?
This was a great informative video! Thanks!
Great video sir! Are all the machines compatible with carbide create programming?
Hello, on your links for router extension (upgrade) did you mean to pick the DeWalt (cordless battery operated model) to add as a router? I would think for sure you would have picked the corded model? Or am I misunderstanding. Thanks for the excellent video!
Great very informative
Luigi's Product Reviews Hi. Thank you for this site, it’s great. I need help. I want to buy a beginner CNC for stone (marble and gratin). It’s for a job that requires a lot of precision. What machine do you advise?
Amazing video! I want to ask you can i cut acetate plates for eyeglasses with this these little cnc machines ?
Very well done video. I enjoyed it greatly. Unfortunately or in my case fortunately I purchased the 4030. One big problem I am trying to overcome is finding the collet (65mm) for it and the Makita router. It does come with a 69mm for a Dewalt router. Still nice vide.
Hi Luigi, I have a laser machine and my dad wants a CNC and I didn't know which one. The MYSWEETY 3020 PLUS It's on sale. Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Helped me with making my choice, thanks heaps🙏
Thank u sm. I found this very helpful.
I'm looking for a machine with a larger work area (at least 35 cm / 14 in) but the Annoytools is out of stock. Any suggestions for something at an affordable price?
Hi Luigi, great video thx. What is a 3 or 4 axis cnc?
I'm just in the researching phase right now to find the best machine, but I have a question - Why isn't the Ebay/China 6040 on this list? It seems to be around the same price as a Genmitsu but with way better specs.
Very informative, how much is the Genmitsu CNC machine and what improvement/upgradings should be done on the spindle, lastly can you advise on which laser machine one can begin with as a beginner, am interested,
Thanks for info !!
Hello - thank you. I am looking to get into CNC. Don’t want expensive because I am a beginner. Do you know of a good one that is bit oriented without spending a lot of money ?
Fantastic video and presentation!
Awesome video. Which one would you recommend for making wax seal brass stamps?
Bro your Channel needs more recognition..
Thanks my friend :)
Why? He’s never touched any of these. 100% stock, manufacturer’s, and borrowed footage.
Yeah bro, his gestures & graphics are dope af
Agreed. Like the presentation.
First time here and I agree. I liked and subscribed
Brilliant. So much info in a small vid.
thank you for teh great explanations
What I'd like to know is, if I buy the Genmitsu and want the Makita router instead, do I need a different spindle holder for the Makita or will the original holder allow it to fit the Makita?
Does the Genmitsu CNC Router Machine PROVerXL 4030 come with an engraving adapter. Or is there an add on for it
Wow I really appreciate your video and effort
I'm definitely getting 1
I got the cheapest 3018 with the 2.5W for
Hey babbagebrassworks.
I really appreciate you sharing your experience, and I'm sure every else does too.
Excellent explanation!
Great information, thanks!
Great video . I am very interested in cnc machine but don't have knowledge how to use 😢
Great information, thank you
Can You please suggest which one you would recommend for small stone engraving jewelry pieces?
BDW great explanation and channel✊🏻
Nice. Just missing the ATC option😉
Any link to get an ATC for a 3018?
Thx
Thank you. This is a great video. I have a Q. If I buy the cheapest one, can I use Carbide Create and will the software detect the CNC and cut how I want it
thanks
Great Video🎉!!
Also, between the Mysweety 3020 and 4540 bigger size. Which’s do you recommend? Any difference?
Henry
Hey wp4ldu,
The main difference between the two is Size.
Otherwise, both have very similar capabilities.
So its up to you if you want to pay a little more for the extra size or not.
CNC reviews are great.
très intéressant !
tks a lot it help lot to understand CNC tks lot
Hey my friend congratulations amazing video. I have a question I wanna to engraving a jewellery (sterling silver, gold plated or steel with gold plated) for example image or words. Which machine do you recommend? Thanks!
Great review
The MySweety one - can you tell me if that CNC accepts 1/4 inch bits, or can it only take 1/8 inch bits?
Hey, great video! What is the difference between MYSWEETY, Genmitsu, and other no-name 3020 CNCs? I would like to buy something like MYSWEETY 3020 Plus but I am very confused. Also can't find any official documentation.
Yes, how much is number one, machine,,as a beginner a very interested,,you have done a great job showing us the pro a cons...
$150 on Amazon
Thanks very much
Greetings from Croatia, I am interested in a larger CNC for wood engraving. Working dimension of engraving 600x600mm. Which CNC machine would you recommend? I am also interested in a smaller wood engraving CNC for wood figurines. Which CNC machine would you recommend for that? Thanks in advance!
Which CNC would you recommend for a beginner who wants to learn about milling with bits and engraving with lasers without having to buy two separate machines?
Peace be upon you. In one of the old videos, you talked about the serial number of Canon large-format printers. I want to know that I am from Saudi Arabia and I want to buy a printer from Amazon. How can I contact support?
Thanks
What's better for eva foam? CNC or Laser cutters?
Isn’t it possible to replace the NEMA 17 stepper motors with NEMA 23 ones?
the two motors have different hole patterns. So unless the machine is predrilled for both motors, the answer is no.
Hi sir, actually i am looking for very small CNC Router Machine to use Cut/Engrave for Aluminum, do you have any machine for this
How do Maker Store CNC Machines compare to these? Or Bulkman 3D?
I bought the Mysweety 3020 and could not get it to do anything. I checked the out put voltage of the power supply and it said 67 volts dc. i believe the board was rated for 45 volts, i finally returned the machine.
These are fine, but if you're interested in something more serious, the machine I recommend the Onefinity series of CNC Routers or the StepCraft. The Onefinity is the most robust desktop out there. Although you can't install a tool changer. Something I found myself wanting almost immediately. The StepCraft offers a tool changer and is the most versatile machine in the desktop market. To avoid putting good money after bad, spend a little more now. I regularly cut 6061 .188" aluminum on my Onefinity with a 2.2KW CNC Water water-cooled spindle, lubricating with Tap Magic applied with an airbrush. MIRROR FINISHED EDGES.
im drooling
please can you do one for injection molding machine (plastic)👌
I'm only working with 4mm birch plywood. I don't require it for anything harder like metals. Can anyone recommend a good starter cnc machine to cut small shapes from wood relatively quickly.
Maker Store
"With such a name, you know this machine means business." Wow. How can I trust such expertise? Name your machine something powerful and suckers will buy it.
I'm just learning of these CNC machines. I have a business that involves cutting 4 inch circles and 480mmX120mm rectangular holes in 55qt coolers. Can you tell me what machine might be best for me?
Maker Store CNC
Can he engrave on polished stainless steel?
I WANT TO BUY A CNC MACHINE FOR CARVING STONE 6-8 INCHES IN 3-D. CAN YOU BRING ME RECOMMENDATIONS?
THANK YOU
Decent review video. Why didn’t you tell the price?😊
Hello sir How mach This cnc
Subbed only because I think you're italian.
I need more information about statue making 3d machine plz help me
As a toolmaker I can tell you that the 3 R’s of machining any material should be your number one priority in buying a machine.
Rigidity, Rigidity, Rigidity.
Im still very torn on which to get
The Fox Alen is more dissirable because of it work space
what if i want to CNC steel ...........
Price of number 4 please?
so safety is always top concern,... that is why you show a dude examining a router at eye level with no eye protection,...
No tiene husillos de bolas.
Cogerá alturas.
any reliable links to purchase in India?
Modi has stopped Indians to buy from Aliexpress. it is unfortunate.
So a quick correction then opens keyboard and life story falls out stepper motors are actually more powerful than servos ,servo are more accurate and can rotate faster however the flat torque of a stepper motor is actually stronger than a servo. But you will never see servos as small as you see steppers unless you're doing robotics. My recommendation is to skip the higher range small CNC machines and start with the cheaper options as were mentioned in the beginning of the video to understand how they work what they do. Then remember what you liked didn't like and what features you need because none of the aforementioned products that are more expensive are anywhere near as good as if you put some time effort and elbow grease into creating your own. If you're like me you'll understand the need for ball screws if your application has need for any sort of accuracy and stability. If you're looking for strength and stability stay away from belt drive machines they may be fast but the moment they encounter resistance you lose steps. Belt drive machines are fantastic for CNC laser engravers and 3D printing as they're both fast and accurate encountering no resistance encountered. If you're anything like me and you want to see the lights in the neighborhood dim when you turn on your CNC machine then you're probably going to want to go with ball screws and linear block slide rails and a steel frame. After much trial tribulation I came to a final design of a fixed Gantry meaning it stays firmly planted that I created out of concrete blocks using hardwood as the form unlike traditional steel mills though I'm a Gantry instead of a post coming over from behind. My z axis only moves up and down, my x and y are flat and mounted to the base. With this final setup I'm consistently able to take 3/4 inch deep cuts with a quarter inch end Mill into hardwoods at 1200 mm/min. I went down this rabbit hole with no other life obligations other than my dog and job. This hobby can definitely take up way more of your time than you expected. I blinked one day and 2 years and four CNC machines passed by. My first and only CNC router purchase was the 3018 Fox alien with a 300 watt spindle. I was unhappy with its capacity to cut anything. I could barely take an eighth inch deep cut into softwood yet it claimed to be able to Mill aluminum... Buy milk I think what it meant was leave marks with a v bit "engraving" Enjoy the rabbit hole!
