    Ditch the glue and tape and get some XFasten double side tape. Throw the metal clamps away. Tape your spoil board down, mine has never come loose. Putting the trim router in is a game changer.

    Plywood is fine to use. The problem is that you didn't use a sprial downcut bit. Most of the cheap bits out there are upcut bits and they tear out wood like crazy.

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Рік тому +1

      I’ve leaned quick the direction of the cut determines the tear out. Even though this was a test….. down cut would be the way to go especially on ply. Thanks for watching!!!

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman

      It’s the spindle that’s loud. The stock 70w spindle literally sounds like an RC car at full speed. If you upgrade the spindle to a palm router… well… that’s a different story. Hope that helps gauge the sound a little.

    How deep can you cut with that CNC?

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Рік тому

      So you can cut as deep as the end mill is long. I have bits that are 1” long. That’s about the max I would do with this machine. You can fit media as thick as 2.5”.

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Рік тому

      So the 60w spindle is not very loud but if you add the Palm Router it’s much louder. I have a closed insulated workshop so you can barely hear it outside. I can’t speak to the 400w spindle (yet) 🤫🫢😉. stay tuned!!!

    Thank you so much for this videos, new subscriber for sure and I will check out your content. Hopefully you can help me, what bits do I need to carve on concrete? Thanks in advance.

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  8 місяців тому +1

      Oh wow! That’s awesome! I havnt done any carving on concrete but I would say you need diamond tip bits, very slow and shallow passes as well as keeping your concrete sprayed with water. Its will be very dusty and you wont want to breathe that in so a mask while in the shop would be a good idea too! Concrete dust in the lungs is not a good thing!

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Рік тому

      Your best starter program to use is Easel by inventables. It’s on online based program and super easy to use. The Pro version is $24/month but it’s worth it for a few months until yon get used to how the CNC works. I actually pay for it and use it for a tax right off business expense.

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Рік тому

      I stand by my comment. Don’t waste your money on accelerator. Using alcohol helps evaporate h2o causing the super glue to dry faster than without. When CNCing we use a ton of tape and glue. It doesn’t make sense for one to by $12 for 2oz of glue. I’ll keep buying my $1.49 glue and surely keep recommending my process because it works… the video showed that. Thanks for watching!
