I’ve had the 10 speed 2020 for two years now. I have no complaints about it, if you put it into sport or track mode it will hold gears longer along with increasing throttle response. And it is quicker than a manual because I have raced plenty of them. That being said, the whole point of a manual is that you are more connected with the car, you decide when it shifts and you as a driver can make or break the car. In this day in age it really is a matter of personal preference, doesn’t matter which way you go, as long as you are happy with what you got then that’s all that matters.
I got a 16 auto premium . I have extended paddles on it , and love the paddle shifting. I would have preferred a manual , but in the end , I went with the auto
I have a 2018 6 speed Mustang GT base, although it is slightly modded. All my cars have always been and always will be manual. The only thing I would have really liked a lot from the Premium trim would have been the digital dash. The other stull wasn't as important to me and spending an extra $4000 or so to go Premium wasn't a viable option when I bought it. I have no regrets. I wanted the V8 and didn't care about the fluff.

A Mustang GT Base with the 301A package is perfect. I wish I could have fully loaded mine like that but I just could not swing the price difference for some extra features. The Digital Dash might be necessary though.
I bought a used 2018 GT 6 speed base with only 20K miles on it a couple months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. All the extra stuff that comes with a premium PP is not necessary in my humble opinion. That said, I got mine already modded with everything I would have done to it so I saved a bunch of money that way. The only things I would have liked to have from the premium PP options would be the leather seats and bigger brakes. I can live without the leather and I plan on upgrading the brakes at some point but the stock brakes on the base are adequate for daily driving and highway hard pulls which is all I really do. My Stang is murdered out in all black, JLT cold air intake with Bama Rev Tech 93 octane race tune, Corsa Sport cat backs with X pipe, lowered on Eibach Sportline springs, 20" flat black 5 spoke MMD rims (10" wide in back and 8.5" wide in front, staggered), Mickey Thompson tires (305/35 in back and 255/35 up front), tinted and louvers on the back and side quarter windows. With mods it's close to 500 hp which is more than enough for me. This thing is a corner hugging beast. All the premium and performance pack stuff is nice but it's not going to make you go any faster. For those on a budget just go with a base and upgrade what you need to. As far as auto vs manual, the only advantage the auto has over the stick is it shifts a fraction of a second quicker which is only relevant in a very close drag race. With the stick you can stay in the power band area (3K+ RPMs) while driving around unlike the auto which keeps you in the lower RPM range unless you punch it then it has to downshift first. Unless you're driving in manual mode with paddle shifters. I like already being in the power band. I also like the dying art of manually shifting the gears during spirited driving especially on twisty roads. Paddles just don't have the same feel. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Coming from an old school racer, 3.73 gears are actually perfect for the daily driver that races on weekends. You have good off the line power coupled with good highway driveability. If you go higher or lower one of those two things is going to suffer. It's the perfect compromise gear which is why Ford put it in the Mustang. My 2018 GT 6 speed is my daily driver and it feels perfectly geared to me no matter where I'm driving it. Just my humble opinion

Question dose the base have track mode and drag strip mode and what dose the magnetic ride do
I know the base has sport mode I don’t think it has track mode. And magnetic ride is a adaptive suspension system that is controlled by dampers on the car to make the ride stiffer or softer at any given time. All the gt 350 have them.
@@ItalianStallion410 i had a 2013 5.0 and then i sold it got a scat pack now im selling that and getting a 10speed 5.0 base model...i was just wondering if it was any slower or it dosent matter
