Damn i'm unsualy amazed playing PS4 games this year.. from God of War/Judgement/Red dead redemption/ Uncharted 4 thief's end + DLC/ Spiderman/ Final fantasy 7 remake and now Miles morelis.
I'm a PP guy through and through, but I instantly liked the way MM moves and the combat, mood and music of the game. Ultimately, I still prefer the first one overall but they are both amazing and this makes me very very excited for SM2

I am glad that this port is as good as the other Spider-Man game, but I am going to wait. It hasn't enough time past since I have finished the other one. I am looking forward to your Gungrave review. I hope Gungrave is going to be good.
@@ACGreviews Was there still shader compilation stutter during gameplay? Because if not, it seems to make sense that a long initial load would be shader compilation (better a long first-time load, than frequent periodic game stutters).
The load continued to happen anytime I reloaded the game. And no "shader comp alert came up" JUST a black screen for a long time which was wierd. That being said. I see they did a patch this morning for that
Personally I thought Miles was a little generic, but a good start for his character. He isn't really his own Spider-Man cuz much of his focus was on copying Peter, and he is just a typical good kid who doesn't have any moral conflicts at all, but he is still likeable
@@HBG313 hes not, not when done well, although comic miles isn't great either that's why he wasn't popular, spiderverse was a great start to his character, it emphasized that Miles was an artist, music lover and art lover, however this game didn't really show that, some music stuff yes but he was mostly into science like Peter. Miles can be done well, he just needs careful crafting, however you clearly have some kind of deep seated hatred for him so I doubt anything I said matters, but maybe think on it a little more

But being able to hack stuff isn't really being a "copycat" in my opinion. He may not be like his ITSV counterpart when it comes to making art and being an art lover, but asides from hacking and being smart, he DOES make music, it's just been a while and he and Ganke were talking about making a whole soundtrack for their game which I just love. I believe The Miles Morales in the game is a perfect representation of the character outside of the comics. Both in the game and Into The Spider-Verse, could they have done more with his characterization? Sure, they could've added some more hobbies that he loved to do, expand a bit more on his biracial background and maybe have him be an artist? But with what we got from this game; I love it so much. This is just my opinion though, so what are your thoughts?

I'll be all over this game once it's cheaper. S-M Remastered and all the DLC's only took me about 20 hours to 100%. If this game is shorter than that, I'll need a pretty hefty discount to feel like I'm not getting the short end of the deal.
Just picked this up for $30 for my gaming pc and Steam Deck. While I've been playing MM on my ps5, it's gonna be great on my pc. I'm also playing through remastered on my pc and deck. It plays excellently.
That initial load being long is probably shader compilation so that nothing stutters when there is a new effect appearing for the first time in the game.
Really looking forward to this, even if it shares a lot with Spider-Man. One main thing I'm eager for is the plot. I'd watched a playthrough of SM long before I could play it on PC, so I knew the story. I haven't seen one for MM so that'll be all new to me. Cheers Karak.

Why would you play it on another platform if you’ve already played it on ps5? A lot of open world games are too much to play all the way through again and knowing all the story arcs also takes the shine out a bit

I seen with kids they believe any suit for any occasion they choose which best fits that scenario. Just to share. But I like your opinion, I do as well choose between 3 suits that fits my character.

It makes marketing and branding hellish. It makes merchandising odd. They were selling both action figures last year. Spider-Man was almost completely cleared out. "Spider-Man [Miles Morales]," as he was lovingly called on his cardboard backing, was still there. Lots of him. Give him a unique hero name, for God's sake. When Robin grew up and got his own black armor suit, they didn't call him Batman [Richard Grayson]. They called him NIGHTWING!!! Gadzooks. Anyways, This game is great. Tinkerer is a giant swing-and-miss of a character, but the game is well done. In the 2000s, it would have been called an expansion pack and marketed as such. But... these things sell better as stand-alone products and so there you go. Worth the price of admission, regardless. Insomniac Games did a great job, Nixxes has done a great port, and you'll get more optimization patches flowing in over the next couple months.

I was so excited to buy this to play on PC since I haven't yet. Then I saw that it's not even half as long as the original game and has horrible villains.. so this will be a wait for a deep deep sale for me or even just buy the original one on a sale. I did beat that one on a PS4 pro though. Me and my kids love the into the Spider-Verse movie so I'm not against Miles being the main character. It just sounds like that game should have been more of a glorified expansion.
Curious if it has an option to enable or disable the muscle deformation system that they introduce after launch in this game on ps5. It looked cool but pretty much ruined the performance mode with stutters.

This game was pretty awesome Love the story with was short but good Miles high pitched voice can be annoying here and there but alright. The game looks incredible and the gameplay is smooth as expected. Had a blast with the game in general
For me the games runs horribly. I have a GTX 1060 6gb, i5 7400, 8gb ram and installed in on SSD. On 1080p without or with fsr I only get 20-24 fps and with horrible stutters every second. I don't understand why it runs so bad
$50 for shorter version of Spider-man 2018 is ok.. but only in 2020 (PS5 release) But $50 for late 2022 is not ok.. around $35 would been better.. especially considering U can get this for $20 in PS5 right now Meh.. Typical Sony Premium-Prices.. I'll slap extra $20 for that $50 & get Ragnarock (25 hours of a brand new game)

There are a few PS games i doubt will ever release on pc, Rachet & Clank, Gran Turismo and Astrobot and probably a bunch more. If they release too many Playstation will lose it's identity

So elated to have both. As a fan of SM movies, cartoons and comics, I enjoy both games. I can’t think of a better marvel character to game port.

The writing for Jameson in the original game was absolutely fantastic! It felt very real.
