This is Metallica's most underrated album. Although it doesn't have the fast, thrashy sound that everyone was used to, they put so much emotion into every song. This album deserves lots of respect. Everyone watch, "Some Kind of Monster." You'll get it.

This song means so much to me. It's saved my life so much, no matter how many people hate this album it is one of my favourites, just for the completely honest lyrics. I can also completely relate to the lyrics, especially this song, I listen to it whenever I feel angry or upset and it makes me feel so much better. Thanks Metallica.

St. Anger songs just sound more alive and heavier LIVE. What made me like the album was listening to the Live DVD that came with it. There are some real gems in that album, which gives me a lot of hope for their work with RICK.
It's just the perfect album to hear if you're really fucked up and shit ... There are moments when I can listen to this and every song matches with my feelings and you can get your frustration, fear and anger out of you with it ... that's just great
