I have never thought to quit playing this enjoyable sport. In fact! I look forward to playing it almost everyday. Probably because I play primarily because of the fifth reason you listed: FUN.
Currently, im very new on the scene. I took lessons at a younger age but i didnt really pursue it or was as eager to play. But after playing pickleball for a couple of months, i had a longing to play tennis much more often. So as of now, probably like 2-3 weeks.
Played juniors, college, life happened and I didn't play for about 15 years, now I'm 52 and playing 4-5 times per week, still a lot of singles, beating guys in their 20s - so much fun! I feel like I'm in the best shape in my life, making great new friends, so glad I have tennis in my life ;-)
Guilty of destroying rackets 🙋♂ not proud of it but I continued! How often you wanted to quit and continued to play this wonderful sport?
