The spider droid with ion Cannon is going to be really strong. I think of you are able to give them orders consistently, super tactical Droid and/or comms rely giving them attack protocol and linked targeting array allows these to have consistent aim tokens and be able to recover and shoot.
This model was just perfect to magnetize. In the middle part there is a big hole, that is like made for putting a magnet in it. And then you just have to glue another magnet at the inside surface of the upper part of the head. You don't have to glue any magnets on the weapons at all. You can then swap the weapon part around as you wish, and the upper part will always be attracted to the magnet in the middle of the body part, so the dry fit weapon part between will always stay in place.
Now why didn't I think about that? I literally just assembled mine yesterday and was annoyed that I couldn't think of any way to easily magnetize it.....
Was a bit hesitant picking this up, but looking at the instructions seeing that I can switch out the weapons on the model by removing the top, I'm gonna pick one up. A fine support for my Separatist collection.
Great video showing so much info and with that this spider droid looks amazing! Straight after Christmas I am buying this! I actually haven't played a game of legion yet I just love collecting the miniatures.
Personally I would probably run this as a kamikaze unit by using the engagement protocol with the flamethrower in order to eliminate as many as possible in a single turn (btw love your content and can't wait to see more)
Im 47. Is that too old to gently weep a little because i dont have yoda? Asking for a..well..me. Things are so tight right now that i cant even grab shoretroopers that i need. Not to mention new releases like the tactical hand on hips meme droid.
Excuse the potentially dumb question but has this model only come out recently? I’ve only played this on TTS and it’s been on there for a little bit. (Only just got into legion recently so I don’t really know about model releases)
Cool thing is since weapons are rings going between top and bottom parts you can easily magnetize top and bottom parts and have option to swap weapons

I'd also be tempted to attach the antenna with a magnet if possible, that way when the model is dropped, nothing breaks, it just pops off.

I've used a pair of these with Ion cannons to great effect. They bullied my friend's AT-ST with all the Ion
My first antenna broke after the first game. When I got my second one, I just broke it off instead of waiting. Lol
