I can imagine people going nuts with the clear acrylic on the shields, making all sorts of different colors etc etc
How do you do that?
@@kamenridertheblueknight5313 there are people who tend to make custom pieces for these kinds of games. Additionally, one could *probably* figure out how to mold these on the sprue and make their own type of plastic version in things like a clear blue.
@@kamenridertheblueknight5313 clear candy paints work too, just put them over the plastic.
@@kamenridertheblueknight5313 there are also clear resin you could you use by making a mold or using a resin 3D printer.
I think the fact that you're able to place the blaster through one of the shields shows the detail and dedication put into these miniatures. The easy thing to do would have been to just make all the shields one solid piece, but adding that little extra piece of detail sells the whole thing.
I dont even play legion, but commando droids are so badass
Can’t wait for the training upgrade that gives your unit Demoralize so I can combo that with the swords, and I call this upgrade, Terror Tactics!

Just started with Legion a short while ago and bought my core set and first units about 2 months ago. I've been watching a bunch of your videos and had no idea you were local to Orlando! What a small world.
The BX droids were some of my favorites during the clone wars, too bad how they acted in the episode was usually hit or miss.
Pre-ordered a set of these at the last minute, can't wait for them to come in!!!

I don’t even play legion but this commando set and the arc trooper set are totally enticing me into getting started
Vallejo makes a liquid mask product that you apply like paint; so you could assemble is, use the liquid mask, then prime the mini, detail, etc, then just peal it off :)

Definitely looks like easier assembly than the Marvel: Crisis Protocol minis I've been putting together
They’ve got the spindly droid body of the B1’s but with the easy of assembly that the B2’s have. I’m a fan. They did a good job with these ones.

It's just like the Rebel Commandos and the Scout Troopers. These are a similar type of release.

These models are really detailed, I'm pretty impressed!
Try humbrol maskol or liquid mask. It is used for clear parts on models such as aircraft canopies. Should work on the shields.
So many options in comparison to older sets, I may have to pick up 1 or 2 for painting purposes.
Unfortunately my FLGS was shorted their shipment so I was only able to get one of the three that I ordered until more come. Thanks Asmodee!
They just delayed the droid commandoes and arc troopers by one month here in Norway...
Had to stop what I was doing to watch this. I preordered a box at my local game store but might have to order a second one after this video
Okay, those are pretty cool, almost enough to tempt me into running a separatists army... almost.. I wish there was a way to run reprogrammed droids with the clones now...
I pre-ordered 2 sets already, from a shop that is a bit cheaper, but kinda don't want to wait for shipping and may go to my local store tomorrow.
Can't wait for the 2 units I ordered to come in! Currently painting some B1s in a Republic Commando scheme but these will be next in line!

Great looking minis, really surprised they didn't go with a ball and socket joint for the arms.
My tip: just spray prime the frames with all of the parts still attached.

same here. they were supposed to get 9 they sent 7. I got shorted 2 units. Apparently Asmodee didn't make enough... again.
Made that mistake with the windshield on the rebel speeder.
Or you could mask the shield parts before priming. There will be a good number of vids on YT that will step you through it I would think. Applying glue to a part of mini that is already painted can cause issues. And some glues can generate frosting on clear parts, not sure what they will do to the shields.

Hopefully the glue will not fog up the shields. Always had trouble with clear plastic.

I understand there’s a rush to get the video out quickly. With the options these guys come with it might’ve been worth it to assemble some more models. Was hoping to see the heavy weapons guys and the vibrosword wielders. Just my unsolicited advice.

Are there both left and right sword carrying arms? I kinda want to make a dual wielding BX for the leader of my vibrosword squad. I think it'd look pretty cool.
Really surprised by the colored shields and the ease of assembly. Compared to b1's...
Absolutely do not use plastic glue on the clear pieces, especially the tamiya extra thin as it can run easily and damage the transparent piece. Instead use a tiny dab of pva or super glue after everything is painted and sealed.

On Armada's predictions. It does not seem very fair to me that the Separatists have 2 ships with a large or medium base and the republican one with a large base and one with a small base. What do you think about that?
