I work in finance!!! Out of all the qualifications I have! After all the books I’ve read! Studies! Papers!! The richest man in Babylon is the best book for finance ever!!!
I have read this book every quarter for the last 3 years. I'm about to start it for the 12th time. Of course, now I can get through it pretty quickly, but I still get something new out of it with each read.
Spend your money wisely-invest in quality where it counts, for it often outlasts the cost of cheapness. Yet, remember that sometimes the simplest, least expensive option is the real gem in disguise.
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Stephanie Janis Stiefel. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.
@@MosheerEllyGreat share! Out of curiosity, I searched Stephanie Janis Stiefel online, found her consulting page ranked at the top, and scheduled a call session. I've read many reviews about advisors, but none seem as impressive as hers.
I read this many years ago and took the lessons to heart and now years later am so grateful I did so. I now give it to my young relatives and the rest is up to them!
it is the simplest book to read on finance and super fun. It provides all the basic skills needed to build and protect wealth...brilliant breakdown of the principles also Nischa
You are so great. I thought I would never save money again after having a kid. I practiced your methods after watching your videos. I saved money, and I was able to support us with emergency money. Thank you.
I started an auto transfer from my one checking account into another account of $100 per week. It’s now at $9100. Was effortless and added up quickly. Sure I could put it toward my mortgage but my mortgage is like 3% and the payment is only $435 which is already including a little extra monthly, also automatically.
It’s not the interest rate of the mortgage it’s the volume of the interest over the life of the mortgage Research the volume of interest your amortization schedule shows you
This is super useful - not just recommendations about a book to read, but also the summary ideas that we should be trying to learn from it. Thanks Nischa!

When I asked how to get "wealthier" a mentor told me to read few books with this being the first. Its impact on my life has been profoundly positive. It makes a wonderful graduation present for anyone before (or after) they hit the workforce and start earning.
🙏🙏Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!
Hello how do you make such monthly ?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down 🤦 of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God 🙏..
Wow that's nice She makes you that much!! please is there a way to reach her services, I work 3 jobs and trying to pay off my debts for a while now!! Please help me.
This is one of my favorite books. One of the lesson I got, apart from the great lessons summarised here, is to love your work and excel at it. To quote Sharru Nada: "Life is rich with many pleasures to enjoy. Each has its place. I am glad that work is not reserved for slaves. Were that the case, I would be deprived of my greatest pleasure. Many things do I enjoy but nothing takes the place of work".
I love this book. At one time I had it as an audiobook and listened to it over and over while working my day job. The part I liked most was the lesson learned when an investment doesn't work out and how to solve it. I won't spoil it, but this is a must read and even though it seems a simple story, it does cover all you will need to see your opportunities and work with it. Well done Nischa
All I want to say is thank you! I have found your videos incredibly inspiring and with information very helpful. Looking forward to seeing more content from you! Wishing the best to all!
I AM OBSESSED WITH THE BOOK! I am currently reading it while on a 16 hour flight and my neighbor sitting next to me hates that I keep my lights on while she’s sleeping 😂. It is addicting!
Yes, it is brilliant!!! I start doing that again (after a very long economic breakdown for 7 years) after Easter.... I rise the amount in almost 45% of my paycheck every month. From that amount, I invest in myself 50% in order to make more earning.... I have made my schedule with very small steps , it may take 2 to 5 years. But I'm searching for other options and opportunities at the same time... ❤Nisha!!!
This is one of my favourite books and my favourite part is your lesson 1 0:19. "A part of all you earn is yours to keep". As long as we invest part of our monthly income for the long-term, we will build wealth.
Thank you so much for the detailed video essay on the "Richest man in babylon". There was a previous video of yours on personal expenses where you had recommended this book. (want to mention it as a callback) It was a great read for someone like me looking for directions on the personal finance. It was so grounded, no jargons, and the things were kept simple in the current times where we are slurped with jargons. Glad that there is a detailed breakdown of the book. It will be really helpful for people. Please keep up the great work! 🙇 Huge fan!
We live in sort of present Babylon.. It is good to have this book on the shelf and re-read it from time to time. Thank you Nischa for reminding me about it again.
This is a terrific book and love the idea of this new series. I also saved added “Die with Zero” so I could listen to it soon. Appreciate all of your hard work.
When I was a young lad, I told my eldest brother I want to be rich and he asked me to find and read the book titled “The Richest Man in Babylon”. I have followed the principles in this book for years now 🙂.
I enjoyed this video, thanks @nischa. Having read the book several times myself, it does no harm at all to have a succinct summary and reminder like this. Keep up the good work 😊
One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market. I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories.
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
The issue is most people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt, no offense. In general, Financial Consultants are ideal reps for investing jobs, and at firsthand encounter, since Jan.2020, amidst covid outbreak, my portfolio has yielded massively in ROI, summing up to 7-figures as of today.
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advlsors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfollo allocation
I've been working with Vivian Jean Wilhelm for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, Look her up.
I read this book with das capital. Still broke! What a nightmare the pandemics been. I keep fogetting that it was a huge shock to the economy. Even now, in the states the company I work for lost some of my overtime pay and I had to just let it go because things are still fragile and delicate and even most Wal-Marts have not even gone back to its 24 hours a day retail services...😮
I am happy and satisfied with your presentation and believe me learning a lot! God Bless you. Have read this book once and your brief of the book comes out very handy. This is refreshing.
