Such a great band. The vocals are so soothing and relaxing but has that heaviness with the rest of the band. Reminds me of Alice In Chains a lot, and I love it!
Discovered these guys a few weeks ago and this song has been on repeat. Squeezing all the dopamine I can out of it. Never been a huge "Stoner rock" fan but thanks to these I've been looking into it more.
The two tracks I've heard from this album remind me of the soundtrack of my youth but DANK as hell. I wish I could have had this album during the summer!

What a band...! It's like they took Mudhoney's pinnacle, 'Sweet Young Thing', made it their own and ran with it... Stunning... Not to suggest they are imitating in any sense.
so stoked for this album. The melodies on these tracks are fuckin hauntingly beautiful, the riffs are groovey and sort of spacey, classic dark windhand tinge to it but definitely has a more psych rock kinda groove. Masters of the craft, No bullshit no frills just good music. Love windhand!

This band fucking rules. Saw them in SF this year w/ Ruby the Hatchet. Both great bands were fantastic and not to discredit RtH but Windhand was just out of this world.

The song evokes the feeling of being in the midst of an ancient military march. In the dark of a cloudy night. You as the observer feel alarmed and yet also enlightened. As if you have some part to play, yet you feel the consequences of your actions. You feel sadness, almost the urge to give up, yet it's offset by a sense of rage, or determination.
i think they mean that most of the classic "grunge" bands were various genre groups from seattle that were mislabeled. Nirvana was a punk band that listened to a lot of melvins too, AIC was basically doom with a knack for radio friendly hooks, soundgarden was very influenced by Sabbath etc
Can't say I agree with that. I think the bands you mentioned all had their own unified sound; downbeat, rough, raw sounding rock. There are definitely traces of various other styles in the mix, but to call Nirvana solely a punk band or AIC solely doom metal is quite a stretch.
