I used to never play this song when listening to white pony, I just didn’t. When I listened to it for the first time it made me realize that it’s one of their best song without a doubt, in fact it has everything you want in a Deftones song and the build up is perfect and without a doubt a very good album closer, also you can hear a heartbeat at the very end, reminds me of ending of The dark side of the moon. It’s just a great band and I’m very glad I found them.

There's certain songs that are more like experiences than audible encounters. This song is one that I feel like was meant to last forever, even in a world where everything was taken for granted. I lost my best friend around the time White Pony dropped, more specifically when Change In The House Of Flies was blowing up. I introduced him to the smoking weed thing, and I can't say that I regret that per se, just that I wish I wasn't the one to introduce that to him. Long story short his whole life changed and I wonder sometimes if had it not been for me, would we still be the friends we were before we grew up and grew apart. Love this song forever.
I think this song is deftones best single piece of work in their entire catalogue. It's such a fearless piece of art, it actually astounds me. Absolute shame it was bastardised into mini maggit.
Hardly bastardised, if anything, the dichotomy of this original version and back to school bookends the record from back to front really nicely (if you listen to the version that opens with BTS instead of Feiticeira of course).

Shove it, Change, Shut up and Drive, and Passenger, my favorite 4 songs but so many more I can't remember all the songs titles...I'm 36, graduated in '02. Just glad I grew up during one of the last eara's of great music.
Be quiet and drive???
"last eras of good music"
"modern music bad uguuu"
there is no best or worst era for music
Your parents said the same about their music and your kids will possibly say the same about their generations too 😂
great music is subjective to the individual.
"shut up and drive" 💀❓
The Chi part moved me to tears.
Thank you for this awesome album, you inspired me so much to become the person I am today. How I loved this album... and I still do, after 20 years, maybe even more.
Bought the album day one, I was 16 or so and I remember I had to work all day. Picked it up at lunch and listened to it at night. I was falling asleep when this song came on and then the guitars kicked in and scared the shit out of me.
I wish I could hear this song for the very first time again
This song is an experience, The best ride of my life
My all time favorite Deftones song.
i find so much peace with this song. i absolutely love the screetching in the beginning, i dont know why, everytime i hear it, its just music to my ears.
This song is always so helpful when I do not feel mentally well. I swear I listen to it and feel less like crying or I do cry and then I am well over it. I don't feel like wallowing in the sadness after it ends.
I’m convinced anyone who fws this song is chill.
Best song off of White Pony, hands down. The album’s last final cry.
Hel yes!!
My favorite song from my favorite Deftones album 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Lyrics:
I'll stick you
Then I'll
I'll take your oxygen away
I'll set you on fire
'Cause I'm on fire
And always you alone
So when to
This whore
I'm free
And they lose her
So forget about me
'Cause I'll stick you
Push back the square
Now that you need her, and you throw
Well, there you go
'Cause back in school
We are the leaders of all
Transpose
Or stop your lies
It's what you do
Push back the square
Now that you need her, but you don't
So, there you go
'Cause back in school
We are the leaders of all
So transpose
Or stop your lies
It's what you do
Transpose
Or stop your lies
Push back the square
Now that you need her, and you throw
Now there you go
'Cause back in school
We are the leaders of it all
All you are
All you are
All you are
All you are

white horse is def my favorite album. cheers to Deftones, I absolutely love their music, it makes me feel like myself. People think I'm crazy for how i feel about their music, but they don't feel what I feel.
Love how the breakdown starts when Chi comes on the screen \,,/ R. I.P brother
This song makes me fly. One of favorite from the favorite album.
this song is one of the best music experience i’ve ever made
the emotions when the drums and distortion kicks in.......
Thank you forever Deftones for this
Still the only album where I heard a song on the radio (Change), and then went straight to the store and bought the CD before going home.
I wish they would play this live
Piece of art
One of the most important artistic experiences of my teenage years, that's for sure.
This song helped me go through a much needed mental breakdown.
Especially at 2:43, That's when the tears and wailing REALLY started.
It hurt in the moment, yet, it cleansed me of that which was killing me inside.
Thank you, Deftones.
This song is like a sonic movie, but longer, you get years of emotion served in 7 and a half minutes. One word - Masterpiece
this song at the end of the album hits so fucking hard
Mannn that beat drop is the best thing ever the first time your listening to this song. So unexpected and pleasing to your ears. Amazing song.
2nd best beat drop ever behind in the air tonight. Epic
@@KMCINSSTFRM I love that song but this is on another level
beat drop? this isnt hip-hop or edm
@@coryleblanc I’m no music expert so i don’t know what you would call it. If you know then please enlighten me haha.
Favorite song of the girl I'm in love with. Unlucky, she doesn't think about anything about me
Deftones acompañandome desde que tengo 14, ahora 23, los vi una vez en vivo y fue majestuoso
when song picks up and you realize the visualizer is on chi. hell yes.
this was such a huge album for me when it came out. really seemed like they took a big step forward.
Heard this on the way home from a bar one night. When I got home I had to keep replaying it and ended up finishing my bottle that was in the freezer. It's mesmerizing to say the least.
I bought white pony when I was 16, my dad had just died and my mom sent me to Disney World with my cousin...I bought it at the Hard Rock cafe October of 2000. This band was the best band Ive ever seen live.
This whole album got me ascending🔥
Thanks for this and everything else you’ve ever made. My life wouldn’t be the same without
Just tears 😢 There is no voice on the planet like Chinos, no sound like the Deftones. Simply the best band to ever create music.

2290 fan here, what a cool delays Stephen ~
This album reminds me of my high school days and of this guy I used to know. We made out to this whole album and he made me feel so beautiful when I really didn't like myself. He was always nice to me even though I wasn't always to him. I recently found out he passed away via suicide. I never got to tell him that I thought he was a good dude, a good person. RIP E.W.W.💫
:(
This song just gets everything right
2:43 gives me goosebumps
you’re not alone with those feelings
Whole damn song gives me goosebumps
White Pony did more for my world than what The Beetles did for the entire planet
nyet.
NGL the Beetles overrated af

Same here 🙌🏼
Beatles are trash
There's certain songs that are more like experiences than audible encounters.
This song is one that I feel like was meant to last forever, even in a world where everything was taken for granted.
I lost my best friend around the time White Pony dropped, more specifically when Change In The House Of Flies was blowing up. I introduced him to the smoking weed thing, and I can't say that I regret that per se, just that I wish I wasn't the one to introduce that to him. Long story short his whole life changed and I wonder sometimes if had it not been for me, would we still be the friends we were before we grew up and grew apart. Love this song forever.
Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina!!! Happy 20 years, my old school white pony...
Wow... I don't know what to say. This whole album is beautiful.. helped me through some hard times.
I think this song is deftones best single piece of work in their entire catalogue. It's such a fearless piece of art, it actually astounds me. Absolute shame it was bastardised into mini maggit.
Yeah this song means a lot to me their best song period
Hardly bastardised, if anything, the dichotomy of this original version and back to school bookends the record from back to front really nicely (if you listen to the version that opens with BTS instead of Feiticeira of course).
That guitar riff is killing me why is it so heavy and comforting at the same time idk how explain this feeling but such a great song
Reminds me of the artwork and wallpaper that came on a mini cd with the album. Never got it to work right with my computer back then.
Temazo!!!, me inspira a hacer mas musica...
would literally cry if I got to see this song live!
