This course has some of the best Procreate tips I've found. They're not a bunch of tips most people will never use. I've used every single tip Nikolai uses in this course. The animation part was also the best.

I would love to use procreate but I'm not really ready to invest in an apple table, apple pen and the app. Though I would love to try it out because everyone in the artist community mostly had positive reviews for the app and have been recommending it like crazy

When I found out procreate was only $10, I saved up for an ipad, pencil, and case. I bought a refurbished ipad and the older version of apple pencil to go with it through apple website, and bought a decently priced case on amazon. The procreate app is such a bargain, and if you want to be a professional artist it is totally worth the investment. There are some free drawing programs, but ones people like photoshop have a monthly fee. It doesn't even need wifi to use the app, so you can just get an iPad that only connects to wifi instead of paying for monthly internet service.

    Is ProCreate only on Ipad?

Recently unsubscribed from Adobe, after getting procreate. They ask for so much money every month and in return you get a worse expirience than a cheap Ipad app. I wish i could get procreate on PC cuz now the Intuos is just gathering dust.
Also once you get used to the resizing and rotating with fingers u cant go back to that choppy PS interface

@@user-by4ru5pr1g yeah that's the answer I got last time I asked a while ago too...well at least us Android users have Clip Studio paint now that got ported over. I'm hoping to give it a go soon to see how well it works :)

I really like procreate. I however don't like whatever Apple is doing as a company. I just wish I can support the app on some other phones or tablet instead of also being forced to give money (even more than the cost of procreate) to a greedy corporate giant who has no relations to the app.
Also the apple pen feels weird to draw with.

@@BobbyChiu that's true haha. I guess I was trying to say that a lot of people will buy an iPad just for procreate, as opposed to other utilities. I do think that it's worth it as I am currently saving up for an iPad, but saying that it was free felt like a bit of an understatement. :) (Love everything you do Bobby btw!!)

@@Pika72328 its not just procreate, you can also get Affinity designer and affinity photo for relatively cheap price , so it a great way to avoid renting adobe software. also has a built in camera. its still lagging behind on 3d sculpting software since the ones that offer ipad sculpting are still missing many features. Hopefully there would be a zbrush mini port for ipad in the future.

“Almost free”- bruh, $10 ain’t free. It’s quite much for an app, although the app does have many accessories so I’ll give it that.

James Curley I understand that almost free implies getting to the point of being free but is not actually free. It just seemed like a poor choice of words to me.

Lol look into any basic 3D package that goes up to 400$ per month. Plus you have to get at least 3-4 of them to even set up a workflow. 10$ is basically one meal and it is basically free if you compare the prices to other softwares

    • @ivancorredera4241

Thomas good point. $10 on the App Store is quite high for a drawing app, but procreate offers so many features. Also, I’ve found some apps like manikin for the phone and tablet with over a hundred animation presets and 3D models and puppets that feature png snapshots, that set me back a few dollars. There are also 3d model presets with more realistic or exaggerated body proportions that can be altered (pose maker) and it costed me $4.

Thomas also, $400 a month? That’s an amount I expect to pay annually or even a one time purchase in certain cases, but a month. What’s 3D packages are you talking about?
