      On no, don't feel discouraged!! I think it would help if I showed you all the sketches I make and throw out because they are utter and complete crap! And there is about 10 of those for every one that I am happy with!!

      ThatOnePerson While I do prefer this format, it's sometimes helpful to hear the constructive criticism and listen to what they did wrong to learn form their mistakes, so to some of us it's not endless blabber..🙁

      H D dude you can get very far in just a few months.In October I was drawing really terrible wolves and stuff,terrible anatomy,no shading,not very realistic,today I just finisished a super realistic cat today,(if you want to see it i will put it in my insta @tranquil.solitude )but that's not the point,if I can improve a ton in a few months I'm sure you can go far in just a year even,if you work hard at it

      I feel like I am good for nothing quite a lot as well... it's a sucky feeling, isn't it? :( But we just have to embrace who we are and work on the things that we want to get better at... I we just give in to fear and insecurity we give up so much of what we love to do... let's get up and show up and work hard instead, with lots of faith and love for ourselves and art, because art is awesome

    • @palestblue
      @palestblue  7 років тому +52

      BeBrave :) I must confess that the whale was a total coincidence because I have never watched doctor who :( But so many people have commented and asked if it was taken from the series, so it seems that I just HAVE to watch it now to find out haha :)

    • @bebrave539
      @bebrave539 7 років тому +13

      Doctor who is one of the greatest series i have ever watched. And in case you didn't watched it you have done a very very great Job! I'd screamed when I saw the drawing because this episode was one of my favorite. One question.. are you German? Because German is my native language and I've seen you wrote some things in German

    • @MiepZerosis
      @MiepZerosis 7 років тому

      BeBrave It's season 5 isn't it? I am rewatching Doctor Who (the 11th one, Matt Smith) and he starts at season 5, and I only watched it recently. I hope I remembered correctly, but I'm sure it's around the beginning of the season. (I'll shut up now ;) I just really love Doctor Who)

    Wow, i absolutly love your sketchbook and your draws. Your sketchbook is really powerful, and i'm fond of galaxy effects ! I also like the way you let space / blanks in the page, it's really interesting, and also the fact that you make a draw on 2 pages. And also the "scientific" side of your work, with observations draws (mushrooms, or dinosaurs)
    Maybe it's details but it makes me feel inspired, so thanks you so much !

    Oh my goodness, this took my breath away!! Such an inspiration with your beautiful art! Ever since I was 10 years old I've dreamed of going to art college, I have been putting together my portfolio and have my interview in 2 weeks. It is my dream to be able to draw and paint like you can! And those galaxies are just awesome

    Wow, I just received my first watercolor kit and I'm currently going through UA-cam to find some ideas. Your sketchbook is by far my favorite, you're incredibly talented! What do you use to colour your background entirely in black? (Since I'm new to this I cannot say if it's watercolor or maybe another kind of ink?)
