My BIGGEST issue with the casting of this movie was Red. Red is meant to be a "lush" and plump little girl. A glutton who eats sweets, is generally lazy, and is the plump and lush desire of a hungry wolf. The girl they chose, while talented and character-wise very on-point, is thin and athletic. Red isn't meant to be either of those things. She's meant to be thicker and chubby, maybe thinning out some as the second act and the months between unfolds.

The prologue even describes her as 'A hungry little girl who always wore a red cape.' But hey, that's just my opinion.

Yes he wants to eat little red but if you look closely "Eating" could herald the 1810 ending where the lesson was for young girls to be weary of cunning men who would "Eat" them up, take something so valuable from them that it could cause great distress like little red after the whole ordeal.
