I'm lost for words, James Hunt was truly a one of kind, like Ayrton Senna, a complete natural talent. Been a fan as long as I can remember, seeing the movie Rush, the ending scene where Nikki Lauda sets the record straight, brought tears to my eyes, and as twist on this, the day James Hunt past on, my wife gave birth to our daughter 15-6-1993. Truly a date to remember. And she drives just like Hunt did.
I worked next to Wimbledon Common in the late 80's and as I was crossing the road i saw this bloke cycling along on a old style bike, bare chested in shorts, so I looked to avoid him and then realized it was James - with a 3 - 4 yrs old in front of the handle bars. He looked so chilled and happy I thought 'Christ, who needs F1?' just great
Fantastic video. James is deeply missed. Great driver and lived life in his own fashion and to the fullest. Met him at Long Beach during USGP West many years ago. RIP James you are not forgotten.
Hunt the Shunt, was an amazing driver and a charming, larger-than-life character. This is the first time seeing and hearing his son. He seems like a decent chap, which makes me think that James must have been a great dad too.
Wow unbelievable video. His son sitting in the car watching his dad race. Unbelievably emotional. Hope the new owner really appreciates and does justice to this car. Enjoy and hats off to you.
Ah James Hunt. The good old days when F1 was worth watching and the characters that drove them! Never to be repeated. I remember the British Grand Prix when it was held at Brands Hatch. My story is absolutely true. At the end of the 1963 one, i actually drove on to the circuit in my Triumph TR2 and managed to get half way around but had the shock of my life when coming on to the main straight and realising that a public dance with live group was being held across the track in front of the pits! You have never seen a driver turn around so quickly and beat a hasty retreat!
You should be so proud of your Dad, he was a great man. An icon still to this day. I was a neighbour briefly when he lived at the mews in Fulham back in the day. Still got the Tag Heuer watch he gave me for watering his planets while he was away. Great memories ❤
Wow 👌 this is just bliss watching this ....BIG BALLS!....lovely to see history being appreciated by family and the world .Genius has to be celebrated....it never dates ...that is the joy of genius! JH ❤
I met him (and his girlfriend, Helen) a few times shortly before he died, and he was such a friendly, kind fella. He certainly seemed relaxed in those last couple of years.
I was fortunate enough to see one of James Hunts F-1 cars at the local Mclaren dealer in Scottsdale AZ. We have a local guy who has a big collection of race cars maybe it was his, maybe it’s owned by Mclaren im not sure but it was great seeing it
Sadly, there will never be another James Hunt in F1. I suppose Norris is the closest it gets as far as wit and humour. But there will never be another James Hunt.

Jesus christ he looks like his dad.
Sounds exactly like him too!
The force was strong with Hunt.
Ive met Freddie a few times. Such a nice and interesting guy to.
Yes
I saw the thumbnail and thought I’ve never seen him wear those clothes 😂
Spitting image, even the flick of the hair and the sound of his voice…stunning!

Ah, Queens Gate Place Mews, brings back memories. Top driver too, James, proper character.
His interview with Murray walker was something else
Must be the best bit of video to go on UA-cam in a fair old while.
Thank you very much!
Legendary
Great video.
Big balls, indeed James. RIP you magnificent bastard.
I met him (and his girlfriend, Helen) a few times shortly before he died, and he was such a friendly, kind fella. He certainly seemed relaxed in those last couple of years.
Followed f1 since 1977. So missed his title win but out of all the drivers this bloke stood out from the rest for me.
Whether on the track or adding some cheeky commentary with Murrey Walker he was always welcome.
What an excellent video. Hopefully this gets out to the car community!

Très belle histoire.
Would be nice to see James hunts f1 go back out on the track 😊
Very nice video but I think there's a misunderstanding, you let us think this nice man is James Hunt's son but obviously he's his clone.
Uncanny isn't it!!!
Was there ever supposed to be a misunderstanding of like father like son? Funny how children get to look like their parents 😅
Rightttt
@JB-xd9thts normal bro..
Tuo padre era.....speciale. Ed è per questo che è nel cuore anche di chi tifava Ferrari.
Looks just like his father. He looks like a very nice chap. Dad would have been proud of his son.
Che FIGO!!!! GRANDISSIMO!!!!!!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🔝💯😎
A true racer 🎉
I WOULD LOVE TO see him in f1
WOW...
"The breakfast of champions". 🇬🇧
Ele gentilmente me deu seu autógrafo em frente ao Hilton hotel em São Paulo Brasil, um gentleman!!!
He’d be sooo proud of you
Whoaw great video and love his jacket ! I would love to know the brand of the jacket !
Hi there, it's Freddie's own brand Elkay Hunt
How nice would it be to watch someone like this, a true sportsman rather than hamilton
Lovely 120 in the street
このマシン(M26)が1977年の日本に来た時にたくさん写真を撮りました。
true racer, lovely chap, raw talent
Not a dry eye in the house .
I had to do a double take on the video, waw he looks exactly like his father.
1:22 is that Eddie Jordan or Rod Stewart???
clearly Rod
Sadly, there will never be another James Hunt in F1. I suppose Norris is the closest it gets as far as wit and humour. But there will never be another James Hunt.
Norris is a spoilt brat,a little boy, James Hunt was a man,a real man.
Freddie should have played his dad
1:23: WTF Rod Stewart
What about his other son Yorick..?
Other son is Tom
Who is the criminal that put music in the background instead of the sound of the engine??? Ridiculous sterotypical hollywood style b.s.
He is fooling himself, his dad was a party animal first race car driver second. He was not nearly as committed to the sport as he makes out,
