- Very simple to use trail cameras I use. amzn.to/4b6q98K
I got some new trail cameras for viewing wildlife on my forest land. I’ve had them scattered out in the woods for the last few weeks and got some good animal videos. These new game cameras are so much better than my old one. These trail cams are very simple and come with solar panels to charge them. I got video of deer acting silly, skunk, foxes, possum, gray squirrel, turkey. I expect to get some good bear and cougar video in the future. They do come through here sometimes.

That grey fox must have a den around by your Saw Mill. That is good to see you have something keeping the mouse population down around your mill. They are a nightmare on my mill's wiring.
They do seem to be doing a good job of keeping the mice down.
I’m a 75 year old gimpy geezer from Nebraska and heat with a wood stove. I really enjoy your videos and you as well. Thank you.
Nice variety of fauna.
What "peeping" camera are you using?.😅
Assark PH960W. I like them because they are simple basic cameras, easy to use.
I'd be interested in knowing the type trail camera you use and how you set it up. Thanks for your great vids!
These are Assark PH960W. I put them about 2 feet above the ground. I have some trail camera plans for this summer, that should be a good time to show how I set them up.
Thanks, Wilson; reminds me of good times watching deer just be absolutely goofy on a mountainside, in snow, like it was no big deal.
Awesome vid! Even turkey and possum! That new growth in your well stewarded forest, seems like a deer garden! Watch out for those possums!!!. Ranger explained how predators that multiply like that, are a huge threat to ANY bird or mammal family; especially California Quail as they are complete ground dwellers. Possum have more teeth, and more babies at one time, than any other mammal. Just a heads up. Hear they taste good? How they ended up here apparently. NOT native. SUBBED! 😊
Any Bigfoot sightings yet? He’s out there, you know he is…
I haven’t seen any yet.
Thank you for sharing my 8-year-old daughter loved this particular video. She said she
"Daddy I like watching his videos cause his voice is calm"
❤
That’s a nice comment from an 8 year old. You can let her know I am glad she is watching.
@WilsonForestLands brother, thank you for your time, I told my baby girl and she smiled and said "I like his videos of our friend it relaxes me"
One eyed fox!
Proof of Big Foot.
Very nice video of critters bit jealous though you have what look like foxes, we should have them but never seen one live or on cam. Got to love living in nature with all these animals.
Foxes and coyotes seem to go in cycles around here. Now we have a lot of foxes, hadn’t heard coyotes in a long time but now starting to get more of them around.
I would ask if you had any turkeys out west but this answered my question!!!
When I was a kid there were no turkeys here. Years ago they introduced them to the western states and they have done quite well.
Food supply: check!
“Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom”- Sunday night, back when TV was worth watching!
LOL, yep, I remember those; Marlin would sit on the veranda sipping martinis or G&T's and poor Jim would be out wrestling the alligator or being kicked by a wildebeest... Ah, good times...
Yeah ol’ Jim- can’t quite remember
think Gunsmoke was next!
@@MicahHughes-zv5zx Gunsmoke?
Thinning and burning has it's benefits.
👍
Atleast you know where to put out the corn.
I haven’t had to resort to that yet.
All the usual suspects for Western Oregon, none of these are particularly dangerous to Sawyers...
The curious doe, let's call her "Jane Doe" snuffling and peering into the lens of the cam. Her cousin, "Jane Doe" too, lives on my property.
Thumbs up for the wildlife round-up and cheers from a soggy Linn County.
The deer seem to be more curious about these cameras than my old one. They make a little clicking sound and put out more light at night. I think that’s what got the skunk all riled up.
@@WilsonForestLands Agreed.
Squatch?
Haven’t seen any yet.
Brilliant video of the wildlife. I really want to see a video of the "bug's" you often mention ! I think you said you have snakes too ? Bugs, snakes, bears, cougars etc all sound terrifying to me. Are there crocodiles in you woods ? 🙂In England we are blessed to be pretty well free from wildlife that could kill you!
None of the critters in this selection of miscreants are particularly dangerous. The skunk you'd want to steer clear of, (for obvious reasons) but the 'possum or the foxes wouldn't bother anyone. The deer get used to one if they're around often.
Crocodiles in the woods ? Yes, lots of them. They eat Squatchs..... FFS.
@@adelarsen9776 Calm yourself; the question is coming from someone who lives outside the US.
@@lpeterman Yes, but they said they are in the UK. They have schools in the UK, I went to an English Grammar School and I know where crocodiles live.
But I take your point. I should not be so quick to judge. Everyone is welcome on earth.
@@adelarsen9776 Thanks; as a Colonial with DEEP UK roots, I often find myself interpreting to my American cousins on behalf of my Brit cousins... I get protective, so to speak.😁
Nice, just a little bit of everything 😉👍
👍
Do you hunt your land?
I used to but I quit hunting deer here when the population started to suffer after we had an explosion of cougar population. Now that the population is recovering I’m starting to think about it again.
I cant determine if that was a coyote or fox. My wild ass guess is coyote.
It can be very hard to tell a young coyote from a fox. I go by the tail: My guess is that we saw both.
@@archstanton_live Next question: will either of them go after a 'possum for a meal?
@@birddogfarms6981 I suspect that either of them would gladly eat a baby 'possum. Don't have any experience there... ;)
@@archstanton_live I think so too, but an adult possum can be a pretty tough customer. Razor sharp teeth! So I don't know....
