Rarely? I hear these all the time because I didn't know you could add modded sound effects for hit and kill sounds, mostly the reason I found out about hit sounds is because my brother told me when he first got me Team Fortress 2
I'm more of a default guy. If you set the pitch real low, you hear this big clocktower bell every time you kill. This makes the kill feel more powerful somehow.
although retro and electro are my favourites, i used note for a long while and i find it cute how if you hit someone continuously it can play a funny random tune

Before I ever figured out how to do custom hit and kill sounds, I always loved using Retro as my hit and percussion as my kill. So satisfying. Now I just have the Windows XP Error sound as my hit, and the Windows XP shutdown as my kill. Might switch back to Retro and Percussion for nostalgia.
i picked squasher on accident once and never knew how to change it back, but when i figured out how to change it i just stuck to it because i was too used to it
As a spy main who loves to dress like detective Notes is the most appropriate for me and just seems to be more fitting to the TF2 Style for the kind of game and the Kill sound of more sounds amazing idk why but keeps me hype up to keep going or like a accomplishment

Notes are so satisfying and they just feel the most appropriate artistic wise, being the notes played in the TF2 soundtrack.
