Lyrics:
Hey
Well, did I tell you before when I was up?
Anxiety was bringing me down
I'm tired of listening to you talking in rhymes
Twisting 'round to make me think you're straight down the line
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
If every sign that I see is complete
Then I'm a fool in your game
And all you want to do is tell me your lies
Won't show the other side, you're just wasting my time
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
When every choice that I make is yours
Keep telling me what's right and what's wrong
Don't you ever stop to think about me?
I'm not that blind to see that you've been cheating on me
You're laughing at me when I'm up
I see you when you're crying for me when I'm down
I see you when you're laughing at me when I'm up
I see you when you're crying for me
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk
All you do to me is talk, talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk

How many people still loves "Talk Talk".
OMG I do! 😘😒I think I like you too!
Me from France
Who else here misses the 1980s? ✋️
Я, чел!
Me also. Great music back then.❤❤😊😊
Every f day!
Yes! I miss the 80's music. It was the greatest decade of music ever.
Miss it..I'd die to get back there.
Massively underrated band. Their last album, Laughing Stock, is a masterpiece.
I saw this on MTV when I was just a girl of 12. I couldn't get the song out of my head. I'm 53 now and still love them. They did some truly remarkable music. I was heartbroken when we lost Mark Hollis. That unique voice, his mischievous twinkle, lol. He is missed.
55 here, same... x
I’m 51, I remember seeing this on MTV too! ❤ Great song from a great band.
I've been listening to this band a lot lately and I have to agree with you, they were really great! Kind of overlooked!
He had the cutest smile. Loved Talk Talk then and still do now.
100% ditto!
This amazing singer is Mark Hollis. Born in the UK in 1955, he died in 2019, only 64 years old. What a pity this talent is no more among us. I became a huge fan of Talk-Talk in 1982. Great melodies compounded by super-cool beat was mesmerizing. I will forever cherish Mark's beautiful smile and the music he created. This band was not underrated by me.
Damn good shit...still listening at 69 years. Energy first, embraced by vocals...that's all.
is it just me that thinks blur, oasis and the verve were all copies?, but this guy was the best of all..............great music from the ultimate music decade
I am 62, love it.. also New Musik, OMD, AFOS..
the electronic meeting analog instruments was a great time
Amen to that- a unique voice
Rest in Paradise Mark Mark Hollis!😢
Those 80's drums are the best .
reverb was king in the 80's
Gated reverb for the freaking WIN
Man do I miss the 80’s
Yep! You and me a few million more people out here wondering where did the time go? Too fast that's for sure.
Great track, great music, great times...MH just the best voice..😢🖤💔
Yeah same ...😢
I am drunk after 30 hours./.my wife died last year..this music makes it worth going on.
@@LionheartNh reach out to Jesus! He loves you and your wife is in the best of hands. ✝️🙏🏽❤️🔥
Probably one of the most underrated bands of the 80s …. It’s my life my all time fave talk talk track have put it’s my life in place to be played at my funeral when I pass hopefully lots of years away yet R.I.P Mark Hollis 🙏🇬🇧🏴
Me too I just want 80’s songs akin to this
They were not underated imo
@@verily360 they weren’t underrated to me just in general they were the best band to come out of the 80s 👍👋😀🕺😎🍺🇬🇧🏴🎵
Probably one of the most underrated comments of 2022.😉
They were an outstanding band. Great tunes.
This song is such a hurricane of passion and intensity.
British music culture at its absolute best.
We will soon catch you up.
This band is one of the reasons why the 80s were a extraordinary decade.
Man, no other band sounds like this, nobody.
Mark Hollis genius!!! And the rest of the band was genius!
I agree 100%
Very unique...brilliant
My god. So good. 2024 and remarkable music.
Better then 99.999999999999999999999% of the rubbish today
I was born in 1960, so the 80's were definitely MY GENERATION.... Dancing to these incredible hits in the clubs in San Diego, L.A., Hollywood, NYC.... Now I'm 61, and all I have left are some really great memories.....
lucky you got to grow up in those era's
Same age ,same comment, big tick.
Could be priceless memory's
Yeah, you're more of a geezer than me, I was in high school when this dropped.
That's all we all have.
RIP Mark Hollis - and thanks for leaving us with brilliant recordings like this.
Talk Talk did some pretty great songs. Mark Hollis was a master composer and singer. Hope you will like our cover of their hit song “Such A Shame”.

Hi I Recommend an indie rock song called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
Oh to go back to the 80s. Closing my eyes and listening to this is as near as I'm going to get.😢
WOW. This is what the 80's was ALL ABOUT. I've seen many 80's alternative bands. This particular song is up there with most. What A Decade .
Preach!
Yes, this was the 80's in its glory and I was there dude👍🏴😎
Lucky to have seen them promoting this album at The Dominion Theatre in London
Lucky bastard ! 🙏🏼🇵🇹
Great musicians! Great voice! Miss you Mark 💔
The beginning would always make me want to dance! No decade will ever be better than the '80s! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Me too!
Got that right!
seriously you guys are right!!!!! how can anyone dance to the crap today!!????

Gildedbutterfly1976 I am a baby boomer and I agree with you. No decade of music will ever be better than the 1980's.
That bass, those drums, those keyboards, those vocals. Incredible! This song sends chills down my spine each time I hear it
Another British legend. Sing your songs in heaven ❤️🙏😊🎉 We 💕 love you Mark.
The vibe of this song is pure energy, I love it, as well as good old Mark's superb vocals I also really appreciate Paul Webb's bass tone and distinctive style. This music instantly takes me to a better place.
Hi I Recommend an indie rock song called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
I fully agree, the manic energy in this video just adds to the performance!
dito
I bet I listen to this song at least once a week if not more. I was fortunate enough to have been in my prime during the 80's. The greatest decade of music, friends and everything else. Let's keep playing the music and continue to let others experience the best era of music. The 90's were not to bad considering today's garbage being released.
I've always loved that piano solo!
Ahhh, reminds me of the great days of the 1980's and watching music videos on MTV!
The birth of cable TV!
Well this has made my Saturday morning better. What a band.
mine every day.....miss them so much
Talk Talks' Genre is also New Romantic like Duran Duran My OWN WAY video. This video appears to have similar production values. GREAT VIDEO thanks for posting! Best Regards -K
This is a wonderful upgrade of this amazing song. I love Talk Talk. RIP Mark Hollis ❤️
Ypu got great taste in music darling iam in Cheshire England and iam a chaos magican. .do you like julian h cope ?
Hey, Hey, Hey all you do to me is Talk, Talk!!!!!!! How I love listening to Talk Talk there is no way to describe what great music this is and the band is absolutely fantastic and the words are genius it all makes sense. That being said "NO BAND" these days can even come close to this music of the 80's even if they try. "THAT'S RIGHT THE 80'S ROCK'S ON" TALK TALK TALK TALK TALK TALK
♥♥♥
Love them always!
The most underrated band ever
JUST ***BRILLIANT ART***
RIP MARK 🎙🖤💜
You are beautiful ❤
Talk Talk is beyond the 80s trend. Is a contribution to mankind
Wish we had more bands like this. RIP Mark Hollis.🙏🏻❤
rip mark hollis beautiful smile
How does this not have millions of views????
Wheres all my growing up in the 80s compatriots??
Right here brother
No lead guitar...just bass, drums, keyboard...classic 💯
A fabulous highly talented band with Mark's unique brilliant voice - life's a bitch but his memory lingers with his amazing vocals
One of the best hard driving pop tunes of the 80's.
I recall in the 80s I had the album with all of their best songs, "Its my life" I think it was called and this one was on there, as well as all the amazing Talk Talk songs. Loved it so much, listened to it all the time and still enjoy it now. Great music is absolutely timeless. I just turned 57 a few month ago and still love this sound and this music.
Today is March 11th 2023 and I'm still listening to this great New Wave song. 41 years ago is when I first heard it. My first New Wave song. Thanks to WLIR and MTV for introducing it to me. It still ROCKS.
I couldn't agree more Tony!! 😁👍🤘
Where in the Tri-state did you listen to WLIR? I grew up in CT and that station was my LIFE!
Lee Harris ❤❤
I am a qualified lesbian too
Best song ever
This song is perfect. Every note, every nuance exactly where it should be. You listen to it one time and the bass line grooves out at you, another time its the melodic yet powerful keyboards, then the unconventional intense drumming, and always with Mark Hollis' indescribable vocals. The you just give in and listen to it all meld together into the best song of an era. Unreal.
Beautiful piano music in the middle of the song
*80’s Hidden Gem right here*
What a tune! That piano break in the middle is so good.
I love the piano break too. 👍
59 yr old fan from the beginning.
Such a great band. Great music. Great singer who wrings out every phrase as if his life depends on it!
Rest In Paradise, Mark Hollis. I cried at you passing and still do. You’re up there with Michael Hutchence, another great singer.
Huge fan. It’s My Life, one of my favorite songs.
Check out their song, Life's What You Make It. Equally brilliant. Esp on headphones.
Check out their song, Life's What You Make It. Equally brilliant. Esp on headphones.
The custodians of good taste and sophistication of the 80's, with one of their many uforgotten, timeless classics that made history... always remembered as a legacy of an extraordinary era!
I’m only 26 and I’m absolutely obsessed with this band! 👀
yeah? I haven't even been born yet and so am I - checkmate.
You're not special lol im 26 too and I grew up on and love 80s music 👀
Don't listen to these silly teasers, you are super cool! Makes my 50 year old heart full to know there are young Talk Talk fans out there. Sending you a big high five!
I grew up in the 80s with MTV music. Such a great time. Glad to hear you're a fan as well.
20 and same 😄
Always a wonderful Song after 41 years
Angst, energy, attitude, what a great band.
This was the first video I saw on MTV, when MTV actually played music videos! Great song!
Just look at how well they dressed then (along with many other bands of the time)! It added another level of sophisticated artistry and presentation. Sadly, people just don't dress like this anymore. I feel privileged to have lived at that time to have enjoyed these incredible bands during their heyday. Mark's emotive lyrics and melody are amazing. I was very into the new wave/new romantic bands like Duran Duran, Talk Talk, Roxy Music, Depeche Mode, Human League, etc.
spot on!
@@TerbrugZondolopditto
Best band of the 80`s. PERIOD!!!
This is brilliant
2023 still cranking the classics
One of the most influential British pop bands of the 80's. In Greece they were very popular and their hits were played in all radio stations and disco clubs.
They played at the kalimarmaro in the mid-80s
The band actually originate from Iceland and have never played on any European Radio Station because of ' Airwave, transmission, radio and sound laws' in place from 1980 to 1992 in Iceland. It meant Icelandic bands could only broadcast in Burkina Faso and Djibouti.
Absolutely a great tune 80s MTV so Underated they were RIP Mark the Voice thanks foe that great Music you ROCKED
Absolute banger for the ages.
" Talk Talk " was a song that you have heard over and over again,
but it was noticed again that
Piano's melody was a wonderful song!
Best new wave band ever.
That would be Devo
Simply superb, the best band of the 80s...and the most underrated
This song is awesome and one of my favorite band of all time, In Loving Memory of Mark Hollis, we will never forget you Mark, we will always love you ❤️❤️
🙏
Agreed mark was a very talented man
Sad to learn Mark Hollis passed on....But he was a great great panjandrum
What a band. The best of the best
A band that had biggest influence on club music, dance music and overall 80s
They look so young now! Remember watching this and loving the energy. Seems like yesterday . . .
Hats off to whomever put this channel together, this is the best digital quality Talk Talk's videos have ever been treated to outside of DVDs. Brilliant archiving, what a cache of treasure.
Early MTV hit. I was a metalhead at that time but I loved New Wave and this was one of my favorite videos. MTV made these guys stars and New Wave in general.
Or vice versa...

One of the first albums a bought when leaving school in 82. Still think they are amazing, Sleep well brother.
I d listen this Song for hours
One of the best white suits rock bands 🎶
They are the definitive band of the 80's their sound defined the era. They deserve more credit then they ever got from radio and the music industry as a whole. R.I.P. Mark Hollis!
I agree with you because I am a qualified lesbian
I will always love them❤miss Mark so much
Really miss these gents
RIP Mr Hollis!!!!! Love your music forever! Thank you
Awesome music. Mark Hollis had ( wish I could say has) such a distinct voice. The 80's music scene would never have been the same without TT.
Great song, featured on one of my favorite movies: Night Shift (Michael Keaton's first starring role).
Just so special!
My favorite Talk Talk song..................greetings of Peru..
When Genius meetsTtalent, the result will last forever.
Now the fun is over
Where do words begin
I'm trying to find the path ahead.
Probably one of the best albums ever made in the 80s. I was 18 when this was released.
This was 40 years ago... Oh My!
Grew up with Talk Talk, remember when this song was released. Funny (but true story), I have their CD in my car CD player. it's been stuck in there 6 years, warped in the heat and only way it's going to come out is removing entire radio unit. SO, I guess its there forever until I sell the car. Not complaining, I love listening to it 😁
early 80s music was so fuckn awesome.
Love it then, love it now!! RIP Mark. Unbelievable raw talent. One of my favorite bands of this era.
You got great taste in music iam a chaos magican from Cheshire England. .do you like julian h cope?
A masterpiece
All you do to me is Talk Talk!
Zawsze wracam do tego kawałka, tyle lat a ten kawałek się nie starzeje!!!
The drummer tho 👀🔥
Mark Hollis had perfect teeth..
Took me back to Minehead butlins.got the tape from some record shop there. Listened to it on my Walkman going back to the camp....thanks for the memories
Always loved this song and the idea of creating a band of the same name.
Loved and still love this song and this band so much. Their stuff is so haunting and always gives me that heavy atmospheric feeling with the chord progressions and keyboards. Gives me chills every time - especially this song and Such a Shame. They flip the exact same switch in me that Psychadelic Furs does.
Do you love me?
It is my favorite band since childhood, I will never forget the first time I heard their music, it was magical, since then it has been the voice of Mark Hollis that has accompanied me in the most special moments of my life. It has been, it is today’s and always will be the delight of my most sublime feelings.
Estoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo. Un saludo 👋
Still listening
Thanks 👍🎶
Dancing in a disco going crazy over this song!!! The best years!!!!
I cant believe such a great voice and artist is not among us anymore. Rest in peace my friend. We will continue listening to these great songs that will never be apart of our hearts...
This song was number one in South Africa. That's pretty amazing considering the society in which we lived in 1982/1983.
Mark, I miss you Love from North italy
I've always preferred this video of the song more than the other one. It's A Shame this version wasn't shown on TV in the U.S. during the 80's.
as soon as i heard them, i thought WOW. im glad i lived throught the greatest time in modern music! and i got to dance to it :)
